The Crew is 2 blocks away from my house, I go there once a week. Highly recommend the tofu soup and the fried rice cake.

Decent food but prices have hiked up dramatically since the last time I’ve been here. Banchan is not unlimited like other Korean places. I totally forgot to check in for free gyoza.

Dropped in around 12:30AM on Saturday night. Only a few patrons around, seated right away and given menues. We poured over the selections and opted for the spicy ramen and fried gyoza. Ramen: piping hot, spicy, filling. Friend Gyoza: Slightly Cripsy Outside, flaverful, warm filling on the inside. Perfect spot for a late night stop!

Parking is easy. Food is delicious. Great service! My friend and I ordered the seafood pancake, short ribs, gyoza, chicken wings-garlic and sweet+spicy. Everything was sooo good! My favorite was the seafood pancake and then the short ribs! The service was great. The waiter was very polite and attentive! In other Korean restaurants, I hate it when they cook my meat because it wouldn’t be as good/overcooked. But this place is great! I had the pork in the past too and it was also really good! If you don’t want to smell like bbq, definitely come to The Crew!

I’ve heard about The Crew from a few friends but I never had the chance to check it out until I walked by with a friend on a Sunday. At 7pm, the place itself wasn’t very busy. Staff was attentive and friendly. With the Unilocal check-in, we received a free order of fried gyoza which were pretty good. Juicy and not too oily. We ordered the seafood pancake, the kalbi bbq short ribs, and purple rice. The purple rice indicated that it would be mixed with white rice, but there wasn’t much purple rice in the order, say a ten or so purple grains in the whole bowl. The seafood pancake was good, but I was thrown off by the shrimp skins that were still attached to the larger shrimps. The batter of the pancake was also pretty heavy to eat so I overall did not enjoy it. The kalbi was THEBEST out of everything we ordered. Juicy, good flavor and so good with rice. Because of this, I am convinced I should be ordering more of the bbq meats instead. Overall, pretty okay experience. Could have been better maybe if I ordered different food.

Really great Korean place in the Sunset district! There was only one waitress when I went, and she was very sweet and attentive. My friend and I ordered 1 small mango soju cocktail, gamjatang(spicy pork + potato stew), sweet&spicy wings, and gyoza(FREE W/yelp Check-in!) The mango soju had an interesting tangy taste to it, one that I wasn’t familiar with having ordered mango soju in the past, and was a bit too sweet for our liking, but incredibly strong. The gamjatang was probably one of the best I’d had in the bay area, really hearty and good. We ordered a 1 serving of that and split it and it was more than enough food. The wings were seasoned really well, but a bit on the small side. Overall, the food + drink were really yummy and the service was great. They have a pretty extensive korean menu, and even have two bigger tables to bbq/cook meat. Will definitely have to try that the next time I go in! :)

Apparently, crazy spicy Korean spicy ramen equals self imposed challenge to my boyfriend. The ramen came with deep red broth and the spicy aroma from the floating dried red peppers. It doesn’t look so bad… until you sip the third spoonful and started to feel as if your tastebuds were on fire. We started to sweat, gulping cold beers like crazy, sipping the hot painful broth as fast as we could, blowing with our swollen lips, and wiping our tears with our sleeves. The heat subdued 5 minutes afterwards so I don’t think it was made with ghost pepper or carolina reaper stuff. and honestly it wasn’t unbearable. It’s like fire noodle with broth version, just the hot broth makes it more painful to ingest. It was a fun experience for spicy lover and perhaps to surprise your unsuspecting friend. Kalbitang was delicious with juicy tender short ribs and well cooked radish. Service was a bit slow(due to shortage of hands?) but the servers are nice. On the fun note, even after complaining how it feels like Satan rapes his *bleep* when he did his ‘business’; boyfriend still murmured he will ask for triple spicy next time. Man. :)

They got some pretty legit Korean food. Kimchee was one of the best I’ve had. I like how their wings are crispy, not over fried, and not covered with excessive sauce. Seafood pancake was crispy and not too doughy, also a lot of shrimp Galbi tang was on the salty side, beef was very tender though. Kimchee fried rice was very yummy, just wished they’d add some spam/bulgogi in it. Pot sticker was free for first Unilocal check in, but I didn’t have any just because I don’t like my potstickers deep fried. My mom tried it and she liked it. Overall experience was good and food was yummy. I’ll go back.

Love this place. The kimchi is the best compared to any other Korean restaurants in the city. Their pork and potato stew is to die for and my current favorite. Don’t forget to order the galbi or you’re missing out! This place also does grilling(kbbq) and I come here at least once a week since its in the neighborhood. They’re open late(until 2am) at night, so I would definitely come here for a bite when you’re drunk and hungry or just craving Korean food!

I always crave for their kimchi fried rice. It is the best kimchi fried rice in the city! My boyfriend enjoys getting the kalbi and bulgogi which are both very juicy and tender. I also love how they always have different Unilocal check in specials! The service can vary, depending on how busy they are. They can get pretty crowded late at night. The prices are a little steep but I always have to return for the kimchi fried rice!

Terrific Korean food. Need I say more? My friend and I had plans to visit Tiki Haven next door but needed some food first. The bartender recommended this place so we came in and were seated right away at a small table for two. The menu offered your standard KBBQ fare, stews, KFC, and other random appetizers(like French fries!). My friend let me do the ordering so I decided on the appetizer sampler(you can choose 3 that are priced $ 5.95) of French fries, gyoza, and croquettes and we decided to share the bulgogi entrée. Everything was cooked well and super tasty. Bulgogi was seasoned great, the fries were super hot and crispy, and the gyoza/croquettes were accompanied with a spicy mayo-type sauce that was out of this world good. I wish there would’ve been more banchan but the 6 we received all tasted fresh and delicious, especially their kimchi. The only negative was that service was kind of slow. It took 10 – 15 mins before our order was taken and even with ringing the bell at our table, I don’t know if they couldn’t hear it cuz I had to ring it multiple times. I hate doing that cuz it makes me feel like a jerk for doing so. But aside from that, food was great and service was friendly. Total was under $ 45, with tax &20% tip. Great place to fuel up before getting hammered next door!

ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant was kind of small but it can accommodate a comfortable amount of people. The noise level was average and it’s a tad dimmed if you come here during my the nighttime. FOOD&DRINK: I got the fried chicken wings and Gyoza for appetizers and they were both great! I highly recommend getting the fried chicken wings. On top of that, I also got Korean soju with strawberry flavoring and it was awesome! It didn’t taste like it had alcohol in it so we finished it pretty fast. CUSTOMERSERVICE: Our waitress was very friendly and tended our table in a timely manner. She was very personable and made our visit better! I definitely recommend going here for some tasty food and alcohol!

I grew up eating amazing LA Korean food so it’s hard to find food that compares in SF. Still, I think this place is pretty good. Way better than Manna. Food: I’ve only tried 3 things here — Dolsot bibimbap: Great! This is always my go to. Getting this dish with the hot stone really does make all the difference. In my opinion, I wouldn’t get a bibimbap unless I could get it in a hot stone pot. Make sure to let the rice harden on the sides so that you can get a little crunchiness. Kalbitang — Great! I had this 3 times when I was sick. It’s a very large dish but I ate it all. The soup is very tasty, probably filled with a lot of sodium… which it should be! The kalbi is also good and they give you a good amount of meat. You’ve probably never had this unless your Korean, but it’s a great sick or rainy day dish. Kalbi — Yum. I think it’s a tinnnny bit over marinated, but I’d rather that than have it be bland. I’d definitely recommend getting it and it’s always a crowd pleaser. Banchan — They gave us 4 – 5 different options which was great. If you order to-go, they make sure to give you a container for them as well. Service — Every time I go, I have great service! Our waiter was super friendly and very accommodating, especially considering he was the only waiter working. Space — The restaurant itself isn’t anything fancy, but it’s nice enough in my opinion. The one thing I’d like to see is more of is variety on the menu. I think it’s hard because they’re catering to a lot of non-Korean eaters though. Next time I go, I want to try the soondubu!

Got a crew of buddies who love Korean food? If so, come to The Crew! Located on Noriega in the sunset district of SF is this small, charming Korean restaurant. I came here on a Saturday evening with a crew of five. It was rather quiet for a Saturday night and we were seated immediately. The service was nice as they were very patient with our multiple questions about items on the menu. They also consistently poured us tea and provided us with water which was very nice. I wouldn’t say any of the dishes in particular was outstandingly amazing, but all of them were extremely solid in presentation, flavor, and taste. The soondubu was properly salted with a spiciness level that pleased everyone at the table. The seafood pancake came in a well sized portion and went well with the sauce. The bibimbop was cooked properly in the stone pot to provide a nice crisp layer of rice along the edges. The garlic chicken wings came with a nice sticky soy garlic sauce with a noticeable but not overwhelming garlic flavor. The bonchon came with a great variety of little dishes, each of which was unique. In the end, all the dishes hit a perfect balance of flavor being neither nonexistent nor overwhelmingly strong.

We got 6 types of appetizer to share between 2 people, and the staff constantly follow up on re-fills. Friendly staff, efficient service. We came on a weekday night, there was no wait for tables. However, we had come here before on a weekend night, and had to wait awhile for tables, so plan accordingly. I like the spicy seafood tofu soup. There is good amount of seafood mix in the soup, squid, shrimp, mussel, clams. Soup is spicy and but not overpowering, I would say it is an above average tofu soup. We also ordered a green mussel soup, but there was a mistake on the order so it became a clam soup instead, but the staff apologized and we didn’t mind. However, the soup was disappointing. They did give us a lot of clams in the soup, but the soup was blend. It tasted like a plain soup base, without much flavor. We definitely will not order this again. We will definitely come back again when craving Korean food in the outer sunset area, but will stick with the bolder flavored food, since they seem to do a better job seasoning the more flavorful dishes.

The food I had the opportunity to try(Crazy Spicy Ramen and Tofu Soup) were average… However the service bumps this place up to 5 stars! I came here last night with the bf to get our Korean food fix. We were already across the street making this the perfect place to check out. Tofu soup was aiiigghhhtttt nothing wrong with it, nothing amazing about it either. Bf got the crazy spicy ramen. THENAMEDOESN’T LIEIT’S LITERALLYCRAZYSPICY. He asked the waitress what she thought about the spiciness before ordering, and misunderstood her when she told him it was TOO spicy for her. So he ordered it anyways. I didn’t realize he misunderstood her so I didn’t say anything. He finished a large beer and reordered the side dishes THREETIMES so he could try and cool his mouth down LOL He was literally crying half way though because the soup was so spicy, even after picking all the visible peppers out. She felt bad and gave him some rice on the side to help dilute his burning mouth, she was SOOOOONICE!!! She really felt bad and tried to accommodate us in any way she could(she could tell he was definitely suffering). I was tearing up too, not from spicy soup but from laughing at him the whole time. And I did try the soup, it was definitely a soup that would make you cry from the pain if you had enough, no joke. I deem this place 5 stars because she really went out of her way multiple times to make sure he was surviving his soup. Thank you kind waitress! :)

With so many Korean places this side of town, it’s difficult to choose a place to settle to eat, not to mention competitive. My friends and I, we’re definitely in the mood for some Korean, and sometimes the best places aren’t the ones with a thousand reviews. So we gave this place a shot. The foods we tried were… — Seafood Pancake It was a big portion, and it was decent. — Gyoza *Free with check in Crispy and delicious. Would actually order more — Whole Chicken with Garlic Unspoken rule for Korean chicken wings #1 Thou shall not serve dry chicken. The sauce tasted better when I had the rest of my food for leftovers. Hmm — Fried Chicken Wings We order both wings, we weren’t sure which one was better. However both broke the unspoken rules of Korean Chicken Wings. Ugh So yeah, I don’t think I will be coming back for a second time, especially after finding out their health inspection results… Now I just question even coming at all.

I’ve come here multiple times with my fiancé, we lived in l.a. for many years before and they didn’t lack GREAT Korean food. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because the servers are always soooooooo nice. I’ve come to realize that Korean food as whole is a bit expensive here in sf and I’m just not blown away by it. The one thing I’d recommend it’s their flavored soju, which we always have and its quite good. We also had quite a few soups and they’re not bad. We got a free order of gyoza by checking in which was cool and I won’t comment on them because they were freeeee. This is definitely the spot to go to if you ve been out drinking and need food since they’re open till 2 am. Ooo I almost forgot we also had the wings once and they weren’t too bad. All in all I will keep coming back on those foggy cold and rainy nights since its so close to me, I will however be looking for a Korean spot that I’ll truly enjoy.

They definitely deserve a 4 star for awesome customer service and for opening late until 2AM.(There is a tiki bar right next door, so this place is especially cool if you need some food to sober up) Though the food is probably worth about 3 stars. When I visited with friends, we ordered * Two meat plates $ 16-$ 18 that comes with a bowl of rice * Ddeokbokki(Korean Rice cake) $ 9 * Gyoza 6 pieces $ 6 The meat plate is definitely worth getting because not only were they good and fresh, the portion is also pretty big. The ddeokbokki in the otherhand is meh, I’ve had better ones, and this one was just alright. They also have unlimited bon chon(side dishes) which includes: * kimchi * bean sprout * broccoli and carrots * fish cake * fermented potatoes Cheers!
