Yay! So glad that Tony was there to capture the moment when my fiancé proposed. That day, he brought with him some contraption that turned his pictures into polaroids. My friends and family were asking him about it and he was so gracious with answering all of their questions. He is super chill! I just looked over the pictures as well as the polaroids again and love them all! He was able to capture the wild landscape of the park, vivid details of the day, candid shots, and the necessary posed shots. Thank you again!

Tony is THE coolest guy, he’s super nonchalant and crazy funny. He’s insanely fast and unbelievably competent at his craft. He can do high fashion, dramatic headshots, artistic imagery as well as melt your heart couples, babies or wedding photos. Anything you could imagine, he can probably do. But BEWARE OF REPLICATORS. Other photographers have tried to mirror Tony Chu Photography pieces and they lack the punch that Tony can capture.

Tony Chu is the real deal. Very professional, easy to work with, and doesn’t waste any time. A lot of photographers out there charge $ 300 for a single headshot; not Tony. His rates are great and his work speaks for itself.

Tony Chu has taken some of the coolest photos of me and my family for years. He in my opinion is THE BEST. You’ll feel very comfortable during a shoot and he keeps it light. MY EXPERIENCE:
I had originally met Tony through our shared passion for martial arts in 2003, and when he wanted to try his hand at photography (to add to his already long list of talents, including stunt choreography and video editing), I was among one of his first «practice» models. Since then I have worked with Tony in wide variety of photoshoots in various locations (e.g. indoors, on an empty street at dusk, at the train tracks) and in various styles (e.g. action shots, fashion stills, martial arts poses, funny group photos, headshots/​close ups).
I loved the process of working with Tony and the end results were always awesome. Even from the very beginning it was easy to see that Tony had a very special natural talent and eye for photography. Just looking over the photos he took for me you can see that he has such a wide range and penchant for applying his very unique and creative touch that you can easily recognize as a «Tony Chu» photo.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Tony does an amazing job at post-​production (touching up photos as needed); this means that it may take him some time to get *all* the final proofs to you, but this is a good thing – it’s because he’s super detail oriented and wants to make sure that everything is perfect. No worries though, because Tony will usually pump out a sweet «teaser» photo or two just to show you how awesome you can expect your photos to be.
TIP:
Let Tony know what kind of look you’re going for, but also be open to new ideas and feedback. Ask questions, relax, and have fun. Most of all, be patient! If you’re doing a traditional photoshoot with any photographer, sometimes the shoot can take a long time, and just be aware that it is totally normal for a photographer to take hundreds of shots, and only a portion of them may turn out to your liking. However, with Tony you can be sure that you will have MANY, MANY awesome shots, and he will make you look as good as possible.

I’ve been fortunate enough to witness Tony Chu’s photography career evolve in so many directions over the years. Whether it’s high-​fashion, editorial, weddings+engagements, professional headshots for actors and stunt people, or just plain capturing the action, Tony truly possesses an incredible gift for snapping special moments.

As a professional stuntman, it’s very important to me that my headshots sell me as clearly and effectively as possible. My last two photo sessions with Tony have been quick, laidback, simple and professional. His skill and creativity are top of the line, and he makes subtle adjustments to get the best shots without feeling invasive or awkward — you feel relaxed and natural while getting excellent photographs.
Each time I’ve gone to him, he’s let me know specifically what to do the day (s) before the shoot to maximize the efficiency of the process. Simple things like being properly hydrated, getting a workout beforehand… all of these things contribute to a successful photoshoot, so make sure to pay close attention to what he says, and you’ll be more than pleased with the results!
For what you get, his rates are exceedingly cheap; he’s worth way, WAY more than what I’ve paid him for my headshots. He shoots and retouches incredibly well, so my advice is to take advantage of his work before he realizes he should be charging more! ^_^

Tony’s shots are incredible and unique! My photo had a ton of compliments and the lighting is makes the photos turn out beautifully. Tony is extremely professional and has an eye to help pick out what makes things pop for an individual. I don’t always like getting photographed but he made me feel comfortable, gave me great directions so I didn’t feel like I was posing and best of all I had FUN on the shoot!

Not only is he ridiculously skilled at his work but he is a professional. He is able to keep a professional atmosphere and a relaxing one… how can you not like a smiling guy with a mohawk?!
