At first, I couldn’t believe all their 5 star ratings. They seemed to good to be true. Now, I can say Armando and his crew are the best! We bought our Volvo V50 when my daughter was one. Seven years later, it was filthy from years of muddy feet, food, spills, and spit ups. I dreamed of detailing but never thought that the light grey cloth interiors could be salvaged. It seemed that it was beyond repair. Then we had a raccoon attack of halloween candy left in the car. The car had their nasty prints all over and the whiff of wet animal. I think they did us a favor. I found Vanegas & Sons on Unilocal and the rest is history. I have the car that I originally fell in love with, not a sign of raccoon or messy child left. Thank you Armando!!!

This was an excellent experience. My 13 year old Mazda Protégé needed some help and it sure got it from Armando’s crew. His work was delivered as promised on time and exactly as agreed. Price was fair and very competitive and much more than I expected. I provided a touch up pen with my car’s exact paint # and they did the rest. For just under 300 dollars the entire interior, trunk included, now looks, feels and smells showroom new. Included in the price was a steam clean up of the engine compartment, an option suggested by my auto mechanic. The wax and polish inside and out is so much more than I expected. Perfect location in the parking garage at SF Tennis Club.

These guys are the best. They keep my riding look tight. Hand car wash. They take great care with my can and get out all the gunk in the nooks. Had them do a clay bar treatment and left me shined up for months. Well worth what you pay for a wash and just all around great guys to work with that I know I can trust. It’s super easy too because they are located inside the garage at San Francisco Tennis Club and you can just go in and have a lunch at the café and watch live tennis from the balcony or tv in the café. Love that place. If you need to get your car cleaned or detailed… these are the best guys to go to in SF.

Competitive prices– $ 150 for interior detailing. At least this much at other places.
Smooth process– drop off in garage of Tennis Club downtown, key to/​from guard before/​after ⁹⁄₅.
Good communication (mostly– had to call twice to confirm they had it and were working on it after drop-​off). Friendly and helpful.
Excellent work– no dirt, no smell, even washed the exterior!
Unlike California Detailing, they won’t hem and haw and tell you to come in for a consulting tomorrow or tell you they’re booked. You tell them you want it cleaned and they tell you how much it will cost.
Would definitely go with them again!

I brought my car in for a stubborn stain on the back seat. Armando was super kind, professional, and helpful. His pricing is very reasonable too. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience – I’d send my own mother to him and won’t ever think about going elsewhere the next time I have a detailing need.

I was so embarrassed and humbled… My car was filthy. Shamefully, my 18 year old VW Golf hadn’t been cleaned in about 7 years. The dirt and pet stains were ground in and it smelled so bad that I didn’t even want to drive it. It’s runs like a little tank and I want to get a couple more years out of it but I didn’t think I could stand it any longer. I’ve never had it professionally cleaned and I thought that having it detailed might be a bit of an improvement (I even considered whether it was even worth it). I didn’t have high hopes, I tried to have realistic expectations, just to get it to ‘bearable’. But OMG!!! When I picked up my car I was stunned. My car was brand new again! So fresh and so clean! I had only requested an interior detail since the exterior is such a wreck but when I arrived it was all clean and shiny too. Even with dents, scrapes and missing trim it looked great. Armando said, «We added a complimentary exterior detail…» He said, «The inside looked so good we wanted the outside to match». (And I thought good customer service had all but disappeared.) Armando and his assistant were just lovely and they worked extra hard. They had to steam clean and shampoo multiple times. They clearly sensed my embarrassment and were so sweet about it. We had a good laugh when they said it was one of the dirtiest cars they’ve ever had. It’s been It’s been just over three weeks and my car still smells fresh! l wouldn’t even consider taking my car to anyone else.

First time I’ve taken my car to get detailed (it’s 5 years old). Usually I clean it myself because anytime I’ve taken it to get it washed and vacuumed I leave extremely disappointed. I dropped food and it got into the crevices and soaked into the carpeting near the center console. Attempted to clean it myself and made it worse. Really needed it professionally cleaned, it started to smell and you could clearly tell I tried I clean it myself and failed. Armando (the owner) got back to me quickly and scheduled me right away (within the week). I liked that I could drop the car off early (7:30 am) and leave the key with the valet attendant. I was able to walk to work after dropping it off. Julio texted me after the car was done and showed me the inside and explained to me what he did. He even wiped down the outside of my car, which was much appreciated. Got the car done about 4 days ago and still smells like new and no visible sign of any food or dirt in my car. My main concern was the smell and they got it out! No staining and the black interior looks new, not washed out! Already recommended them to several other people and if ever needed will use them again.
Slightly disappointed that I had to pick it up before 4pm, it was my understanding that I could pick the car up when I got off of work (at 5pm) so I wouldn’t have to leave in the middle of work to get it.
Service was great and both Julio and Armando were very polite and helpful so can’t really complain.

After an unfortunate experience with Flight Car, the interior of my car stunk of gasoline. I couldn’t locate the source and it was bad enough to cause a headache if in the car too long. Thank god I found Armando on Unilocal — he was super professional, quick, and responsive. Also, my car looks amazing! Could not have asked for a better experience :)

Wow, I had a prius that was really beat up, scratches all over, dirty, inside and out. It came out looking like a new car. I was thoroughly impressed. They were quick and efficient and reasonably priced.

So I was prepping my Smart Car for sale and started to wash it myself. My dumbass uses the coarse side of the scotch pad to attack a tough stain. I did this in the garage where it was dark, but when I saw it dry and in the sunlight, it looked like someone tried to sand down my paint. I take it to Julio & Armando. They give me the hooks by discounting the price since the car is a shrinky dink of a machine. Looked at the scuff and told me people do that all the time… misery loves company and that made me feel better. Well I leave it there and when I come back, BAM! The scratches are gone, some other surface scratches were gone/​significantly less noticeable as well, and the car looked as new as a 6 year car can. Needless to say, I sold the car quickly and believe the solid detail job helped the sale. A fine detail is to car sales as great staging is to home sales. These guys ROCK!!!

There are so many reasons that Vanegas & Sons has nothing but 5-​star reviews. I’ll start with the quality of the detail: my car is a 2003 mini cooper with 120k miles on it. I decided to sell it on Craigslist, but realized I would need more than just a typical carwash. I was unsure about shelling out for a detail service, but now I am so glad I did. After spending an afternoon at Vanegas & Sons, my car looked brand-​spankin new. No trace of the dog vomit stain on the back seat, no trace of the coffee spill on the front footwell, and no trace of any scratch on the exterior. Vanegas’ pricing is extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of service. The $ 250 that I spent on the premium detail probably added over $ 1000 to the value I was able to sell the car for. The photos of the car post-​detail that I put on Craigslist were so good, some people thought they were stock photos! Furthermore, I had a slight issue with the car stereo afterwards. They could have easily claimed it was not their problem, but they took responsibility for it and helped me fix it, completely free of charge. Amazing. They have a new customer for life.

I have two black luxury cars that I love. When I was recommend to Vanegas & Sons I was very pleased with the results. I trust them with my cars — which takes a lot. I do recommend them to anyone I know (that cares for their automobiles)!

Very satisfied with my experience with Vanegas & Sons. They were able to schedule me the day after I called and their location is very close to the Caltrain station. Their express detail left my nine year-​old minivan looking great, especially the interior. Courteous from start to finish and they accommodate customers who return after business hours by leaving the vehicle keys with the parking lot attendant. Recommended!

I’m quite picky with my beautiful blue Porsche Carerra S and so when I moved to SF I wanted to be sure I found someone who took the time to take keep my car looking new. Armando does just that at a very fair price. In addition to quality work, he’s super friendly, very accommodating, and just an all around nice guy. The location at the Tennis club is easy in and out. Highly recommended!

My van was a filthy mess and Vanegas made it shine. It smells good and looks almost new. Once the dirt was removed I could more clearly see what interior repairs and body work it needs, but these guys clean they don’t work miracles! Waiting at the Tennis Club was a posh experience. The service here, from start to finish, was superior. I’ve never had a car detailed before due to cost but it was definately worth it.

I talked to Armando on the phone and through email and had to change the dates twice since my schedule can get really crazy some times. Armando was extremely accommodating and friendly. I dropped of my car on a Friday and could only pick it up the next day. They were ok with that. And then I came back to a car that looked brand new! Inside and out! What a deal for an «express detailing!»
These guys have my business from now on, and if I were you, I would do the same. You will be VERY satisfied! :-)

I would give this more stars if it was available! The staff here is incredibly nice, accommodating, knowledgeable and Highly detail oriented. My 12-​year-​old Mercedes was in DIRE need of a makeover. It was absolutely filthy and beyond what I could do for it. I bought a Living Social package online and figured I would see what this company could do for it.
While I was waiting for them to do the work, I sat inside the SF Tennis Club where I had free wifi and access to their mini cafeteria. Not too shabby.
About 2 hours later, my car was ready. I was completely blown away at how great it looked. In fact, the first thing I said when I saw it was «Wow!» It looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom. Everything was spotless, shiny and perfect. I couldn’t be happier.
I will definitely go back in the future and I would recommend this business to anyone.
