Violet Sweet Shoppe

Tried the Blueberry Coffee Cake at the bakesale outside of Issues… holy moley. It was dense and rich and eggy (even though it wouldn’t have eggs in it…). I don’t know how they do it. I really am considering taking a trip to SF just to get more.

I was confined to my apt. after recent surgery and my wonderful family decided instead of flowers to send me LOTS of treats from Violets. Wow. the best idea ever! They live out of town and found Violets on the internet. Jackpot! The heart shaped chocolate covered gingerbread cookies melt in your mouth, amazing choc. cake and the best cho. chip cookies. I shared some… ate a bunch and finally had to hide some in the freezer before I ate them ALL in 2 days :) Also, personally hand delivered to my apt. by Violet. Sweets made and delivered with love !!

FYI hungry vegans, if you can’t make it to Rainbow for some sweet sweet Violet love, several blocks away at Wicked Grounds Coffee, you can find an assortment of cruelty free baked goods.

You can get Violet Sweet Shoppe goodies at Rainbow but if you want to eat A LOT (which really isn’t hard to do) then special ordering in bulk is the way to go. I ordered a dozen whoopie pies for the office and they were a hit.
Bonus points for delivery to my office on their way to/​from Rainbow. Thanks for making ordering vegan baked goods so easy peasy! You guys are awesome!

i went to rainbow the other day because… well…because i’m a big hippie and i needed some soy yogurt. i checked out the baked goods section as i always do first thing when i walk in and lo and behold there were zillions of vegan baked goods from violet sweet shoppe. i couldn’t decide so i bought one of almost everything. and they were all insanely delicious. i still have a lemon poundcake to go, but the peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie was amazing, the blueberry scone was incredible, the chocolate cookie frosting sandwich was perfect and the lemon shortbread jam cookie was my favorite. in fact i kept moaning aloud while eating it. despite quadrupling my rainbow grocery bill, it was definitely worth the splurge. and by splurge, i mean, i’ll probably buy at least two things every time i go now.
