Visual Aid is, sadly, closing their doors, as of June 2013. There will be one last farewell party in July.

I love Visual Aid. I think it is a great way to go see some amazing art and various different kinds of art. Plus thanks to Visual Aid, the pieces of art are also more affordable.

Excellent organization doing some very important work, and throwing some great, fun events for the folks who support them.

Visual Aid has offered amazing art from local artist at bargain prices. I know it is a non-profit but frankly they have given me access to art that I would not have been able to afford while donating to a great cause.

Visual Aid has been there for me, helping to keep my career on track through difficult times. I too have gotten great pieces at the BIGDEAL… as well as having donated work. Their support has been golden, helping me acquire the materials I’ve needed while facing health & stamina challenges. Great organization… check out their lobby gallery shows too!

Great organization! Fun events. I have artwork hanging at home and at the office from past Visual Aid auctions. Wonderful work. Keep it up!

Visual Aid is an AMAZING organizaton not only for what they contribute to the community bus also because of the people who work and volunteer for Visual Aid. I was lucky enough to be a guest at their annual Spring Auction at Mezzanine — The artwork up for auction was edgy, controversial, beautiful, and honest. All the aspects that I look for in a genuine piece of art. I’ve also had the privilege of volunteering for Visual aid on occassion — it is awesome to know that the time and effort spent working with Visual Aid contributes to the greater wellbeing of San Francisco’s art scene: specifically because Visual Aid’s mission is to enable SF Bay artists with terminal Illness to continue creating artwork — If art is a reflection of life then the artwork produced by Visual Aid’s artists is a flourishing fountain of beauty, truth, and culture.
