Uhm. So amazing. This isn’t the most high-quality place — it’s very much a family owned kind of restaurant. But the food is GREAT, the portions are HUGE, and you just can’t beat the price! I paid $ 11 for THREEITEMS. What the heck?! Mmmm! I wanna go back right now! Haha. I’ll definitely visit this place more often.

This place has terrible décor, maybe sense of cleanliness, but the food is good for the price that you get. Their Dim Sum is tasty as is most of their dishes like the fried rice and egg food young. Their egg flower soup is DELICIOUS and this place has the best egg rolls I’ve ever had in my life. Full of flavor and not bland at all. I love their in-house made garlic chili sauce/oil that is served on the tables. Shrimp dumplings are HELLA delish as well. It’s far from fancy but you get bang for your buck. I miss this place so much since I’ve moved from the Sunset! I occasionally go back when my Chinese food craving kicks me in the gut. I wouldn’t recommend dining here when it’s busy

I’ve been here a few times, but this time the salt and pepper pork chops over rice called me in… my god they were so good. They were very flavorful, the jalapeño cuts make them even better. If you are a fan of the pork fat like me then this is the dish for you. They give you about 4 – 6 pork chops with a huge pile of rice. Totaled up to $ 6.50. It was worth it all. Great place to call in for the lunch specials.

Ok this place is hit or miss, last night was a miss. I ordered Kung Pao chicken with bbq pork fried rice and egg roll combination plate. Yes I ordered white people chinese food because I like it. I used to love the old owner’s kung Pao I thought I give the new owners a try. When I think of this dish I think of small cube dices of all the ingredients in a yummy sauce. They had gigantic pieces of bell peppers a few pieces of chicken and a crap load of almost raw onions! Bleh! The fried rice was bad, it was bland I found a few tiny pieces of bbq that’s it. It was just dark soy sauce mixed with rice! Egg roll was filles with cabbage nothing exciting. I was disappointed with my dinner last night. That was a one star meal but for my chow fun dinner I had in the past, that was good so maybe they have potential with other stuff, I’ll keep it 3 stars. FYI– They raised their prices! The combo is now $ 7.50 plus tax so it came out to over $ 8!

I might have been less forgiving the past few visits or perhaps I am more generous in my opinion for this establishment since I was quite satisfied with my recent dine-in experience. Family ordered Scramble Egg with Shrimps Chow Fun, Egg Foo Yong with BBQ Pork, Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice, Salt & Pepper Pork Chop, and Braised Eggplant with Salty Fish. Everything was appetizing and tasty. The egg foo yong was by far one of the saltier of the dishes, and in general, I wouldn’t be surprised they use MSG in their cooking. I was overwhelmingly parched the next day. Water never tasted so good!

We haven’t found any worthwhile Chinese restaurants west of Sunset Blvd. Win Fook fits into that category. They have okay food, but horrible service. It was yesterday afternoon that we ventured onto Noriega St. We were headed to Hong’s Kitchen, but they were closed for unknown reasons. Therefore we walked a couple blocks east and decided to eat here. Our last visit was probably a year or so ago and there must have been a reason why we didn’t frequent it again. However, since we had the Chinese food craving we stopped here. It was pretty busy with plenty of Asian customers. Most look like construction workers. Most of the orders were lunch special which consisted of heaping piles of white rice with whatever entrée items adjacent to it. Most of the white rice was left behind, when patrons exited. But then, that pile of rice is like eating a pile of white sugar! We sat down at a nearby table and were ignored by the staff. They saw us, but said or did nothing. It wasn’t until my companion ask for menus did they respond. The waitress, wearing an orange T shirt over her apron, tossed the menu on our tables like she was throwing scraps into a garbage can. They brought out hot tea, but no water on this really hot day. The tea was flavorless. Finally a youngish Asian man stood alongside our table. He didn’t speak a word. At first, I thought it was some thug that I had arrested once, looking for a fight. But he was the waiter and took our order w/o uttering a word. He probably thought that waiting on tables at this place was beneath him and that he would rather be sucking down bobo drinks with his pals or playing Grand Theft Auto. Our entrees took a long time to arrive. It consisted of a house special noodle soup($ 6.50) and moo shu pork($ 7.50). The food was okay, nothing special. When our bill of $ 15.25 arrived, we left $ 20.25, and were given 5 — $ 1 bills in change. Apparently that was a tip hint. At a place like this with this type of service, any tip would be throwing your money away. We do not plan to eat here again.

Walking around Great Highway for Sunday Streets, I ended up working up quite an appetite. In the mood for some Chinese food, my girlfriend and I walked to Noriega in hopes of something decent on the block. There were two spots vying for my attention, and after a quick scan of the menu, settled on Win Fook Restaurant. I was starving and there was so much I wanted to try, especially considering how cheap the food was. We ordered a whole order of the salt and pepper pork chops, a sliced fish congee, beef noodle crêpe, Shanghai soup dumplings, and spare ribs in black bean sauce. I actually enjoyed all of the dishes especially since they were so cheap. In fact, the entire meal was only about $ 22 for 5 dishes. Service was terrible but everything was dirt cheap. It’s definitely not the cleanest restaurant around either. Our waitress even bounced on us about 10 minutes before we were going to check out so I was left to track down my own bill. She didn’t deserve even the tip I left. Overall, the food was pretty good for the price but service is non-existent. I recommend ordering to-go. Food: 7⁄10 Service: 2⁄10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 5⁄10

STAYAWAY!!! Wasted my 18 dollars for Orange Chicken and noodles and rice. Orange chicken that was all covered in sweet sugar and thin slices of chicken. What the heck was that??? The crispy noodles had weird looking meat that was scary to eat. I threw away my food in the garbage and didn’t bother to even eat it… ITWASGROSS! Don’t waste your money. Go to Cheung Hing instead across Safeway from Noriega

Yes, I really wish they’d change their name to the New Win Fook restaurant. The new place is so good and it would help differentiate them from the old one. From a marketing standpoint, that would be an awesome idea. Glad I thought of it. :) Seeing as how my dad absolutely loves their broccoli beef(the beef from it anyway), we have had food from the«New» Win Fook restaurant many times since my first review when they opened last week. Had the opportunity to try many of the other items on their menu and everything we’ve tried so far has been great! One would have to look hard to find anything negative about the take-out we’ve been getting from there and up to now, have found only one thing that truly let us down. It’s the quality of their plain white steamed rice. It is identical to the stuff the that old Win Fook used to serve. Did they leave some bags behind? Food this good deserves better quality rice! That would really take it to the next level as I think it is almost criminal to serve food this delicious with this kind of rice. The spring rolls that I had the other day were piping hot out of the fryer and wow, they were really good! Wasn’t too crazy about their Hot Sauce Beef and don’t think I will be ordering it again… it had a muddy flavor profile that wasn’t to my liking. Beyond that, everything else we’ve had has been fantastic and the place is always busy and jumping with customers. So much so that lately they always seem to be out of BBQ pork for fried rice and chow mein. Word gets around fast… this place is popular! Earlier, I was telling one of my good Unilocal friends that the food here is so good that they should open another one in Vegas with games of chance up front and call it Win Food! All joking aside, this place is a winner… so happy that this place is here!
