Pretty standard SGV massage joint, honestly I feel like they are basically all the same, but I’m giving this place 4 stars because of a great experience today! We came in at around 9:30PM and were worried they wouldn’t take us because they close at 11PM. Not only were they polite about still taking us(they made us wait for 15 minutes as they finished the prior clients because there were 3 of us) but the ended up giving us the full 60 minute(I’m not surprised at these massages get cut 10 – 20 minutes short). The massage itself was pretty standard, and in general I think your experience varies and depends a lot more on the specific person you get more than the establishment you’re at. That being said, I think they covered all their bases. The only thing I noticed at other places that might be better than here is that you get free hot tea(no drinks/tea/bathroom were available here as far as I know). The actual price of our massage was $ 20/hour, and they didn’t really mind or yell at us about tipping $ 10 per person, which is new for me and I’m more than happy to pay $ 30/hr here. Will probably come back again, if for no other reason, just because it’s closest to me, but overall I had a pretty solid time :)

I’ll go in and let them know where I’m tight and hurting. Even though it’s $ 20 for a full body massage they do what they can to make you feel better. For that I tip $ 10 — $ 15 because they put in their all to make you feel better. I return up to 3 times a month. Always satisfied with their effort to please their customers — they make me feel great!

Pretty good one. They talk low, or try not to talk as respect for customer and massage your back with u laying on your stomach, I like it very much.

Had my shoulder and neck hurting for 2 days so after not being able to go to work I came to this place for a massage. I was a little skeptical because I didn’t want to get hurt more but I took a gamble and oh man! Shoulder and neck feel way better and now I can turn my head. Phew! The spa is cozy and the chairs are clean, they change the blankets after every use. The buckets are lined with plastic for obvious reasons so I feel confident when I soak my feet. This place is a deal at $ 20 for 20 min foot/40 min massage.

I decided to come here since it was nearby. I typically like hard deep tissue massages since I only get massages when in pain. I had a lady who ended up complaining that she was too tired from massaging me. She said«You, 1 hour hard! I’m tired.» WTF?! She shouldn’t be giving massages in the first place if she can’t put enough pressure on a customer! Before I left she said that I needed to go to other massage places. The times she wasn’t massaging me hard, it felt like she was just sweeping her hands on my body. That is not a massage. I will NEVER be coming back here for sure!

In the land of cheap massages there is always competition, and new places opening all the time. But, Exotic Spa seemed to have stood the test of time, so when one of my fave spots was busy I headed over here. Granted, I haven’t been here in a while, I never had a bad experience. I’ll keep this short: You have an option for a $ 15 dollar massage but it’s not for a full hour. They had about 3 options for $ 20 where they concentrate on certain parts of your body. $ 30 and up is for a body massage. When I got there all the masseuse were male and the person I was matched up with had poor technique. The pressure was weak, and I didn’t get the through foot massage like I have had a many other places in the area. Exotic Spa is not what it used to be, but don’t fear as there are always new ones to try.

I have been to many massage places but found this one to be the best for a relaxing massage. For $ 20 plus $ 5 tip you can’t go wrong. It’s worth the drive from Eagle Rock which has many massage places but they don’t even come close to Exotic Spa.

Not bad! You definitely get what you pay for. $ 20 I got a combination massage(Option D). At Exotic, it’s one of the more firmer massages I’ve received. I usually go to Harmony Day Spa but decided to check this out. Chairs are in a dark room and I dozed off during this massage, which is a great sign! I will most likely return here if I want a change from Harmony.

Been here several time with my friends. This is our to go spot every few months for the past year and a half. I am having a change of heart and have been trying out other places due to the price. It is one of the more expensive ones in the area but it does give you a frequent customer card. Likely the extra cost is the cover the free massage? Good place.

The best place to go for a good deep massage for a great price. I enjoy deep tissue and hate when massages are too light, but these people know how to get into the muscles, which keeps me coming back. Also, you can’t beat 1 hr massage for 20 dollars.(Plus 5 for tip).

$ 20 for a 30 minute neck and shoulder massage makes it feel even better. Im hardly a value shopper, in fact I like to spend a lot of time at work in my marketing job figuring out endless ways to get our customer to spend more… but this place, it just makes me happy to spend $ 20 for what Id normally pay $ 75. When my eyes are closed, I hardly care about the environment, because the truth is, I dont care when Im seconds from snoozing away to lala land.

I’ve been coming here since my mother brought me for a foot massage about 3 years ago. Now I bring my daughter here. Place is simple. If your looking for a trendy expensive looking spa with aromas and ambiance then don’t go here. If your looking for a great hour massage total body ending with a great foot massage for inexpensive then this is the place!

Worst massage experience ever. San Gabriel Valley is KNOWN to have cheap massages everywhere… so SKIP this place. I walk in to this seedy establishment and automatically the only guy who can speak english says«30FORONEHOURS, 45FORANHOURAND A HALF.» Not only was it a rude introduction, but I only came here because the other reviews said it was $ 20 for one hour. I figured I wouldn’t complain because the lady needed the money more than I did. I got a deep tissue massage and I think it may have been the first massage she ever gave. She clearly wasn’t certified and needed another year of practice. D– at best. The icing on the cake was when I went to pay the $ 45 charge. I received some change and opened my wallet to find one dollar bills… when the same lady who gave me the massage GRABBED my wrist and screamed at me «TIP? TIP?» I was so shocked by the customer service and by the physical pull that I walked out of here disgusted. GOANYWHEREELSE!

Best massage in the San Gabriel Valley. It’s quiet, dim lighting, and very relaxing. $ 20 doesn’t come to close to the true value. I tip $ 20, because I think it’s COMPLETELY worth it!!!

I have been going there for 4 years, and today on June 1,2014 I went to get my massage. I had a guy named Jason… it was the best massage I ever had there… Good Job Jason.

The most relaxation you can get with your clothes on. Quiet, Spa music. They did have a TV turned to American football but the sound was off. Upon entering you are give a menu written in English which offers options from which to chose, so that you know exactly what you’re getting. I chose the $ 20 chair, foot and back massage. When we came in we were the only people there but by the time we left about 8 of the approximately sixteen chairs were filled but it was so quiet I had barely heard them come in. My female masuse was Yu Yu and I would ask for her again.

Had a two hour massage today… it could have been perfect had the male next to me had blown his nose. It cost me 40 $ for two hours of paradise. Everything is clean and they adapt to your needs.

I really love this place! I’ve «foot hopped» all over the San Gabriel, San Bernardino, and San Diego areas and Exotic Spa is still the best. I enjoy a strong, deep tissue massage in a quiet environment and I’m never disappointed. The massage therapists here are intuitive, listen to my needs, and send me away a very relaxed customer. All the massage therapists are strong so «sensitive» people beware. They do speak more English here than many other Chinese foot massage places and do everything they can to be accommodating. I do recommend calling ahead as it can get quite busy in the evenings and on weekends. To all the complainers and wimps: why don’t you just take yourself to Burke Williams where they can pet you for $ 110/hour. Also, you damn cheapskates, stay away! I’ve read reviews here complaining that a $ 5 tip is too much! For God’s sake, it’s a $ 20 full body massage! You haven’t paid much to begin with and the massage therapists don’t even make minimum wage! They have to make a living off of their tips! Learn the foot massage culture befor going, you morons!

I gotta downgrade them by a lot. I’ve been coming here over 2 dozen times over the past few years(I know cuz I got 2 free massages already from the little stamp cards I earned). I still come at least once a month cuz one of my friends likes them so much but every time I come with her, she gets the guy masseurs while I get the ladies. I don’t mind the ladies if they did a better job of it but a lot of times, they seem a little lazier than the guys. One time recently, my friend got her massage started about 15 minutes before mine(we were both waiting at the same time). My lady masseuse started late and ended 10 minutes earlier than my friend’s, WTF?! I was pissed! First, she didn’t do such a great job with only a 35 minute massage but to have her end it early when she started late was completely ridiculous. Needless to say, I did not give her a $ 10 tip, only $ 5 and that’s still being generous. Forget about asking for your favorite guy/gal nowadays, you get whoever comes to your chair. Sometimes it’s someone really good, other times, not so much. I guess I’m on the lookout for another Chinese foot type massage place again.

Only went here because Harmony Day Spa in Monterey Park was booked for Mother’s Day weekend. Should’ve just waited. The foot/body massage everywhere else is $ 15an hour. It’s $ 20 here. While soaking your feet, they don’t start the massage so you really only get a 45 minute massage. It was very loud and the massage was weak. To make things worse, when I paid they wouldn’t give me change and told me it was tip. I was going to tip but I don’t like automatic tips without being told about it. Never returning here again.
