I use to drive by this place all the time and never looked twice at it. One day I was too lazy to cook and didn’t wanna go far so I stopped by here. The food is very reasonably priced and the quality is on par with many places near by. I like their phở I have ordered it many times and their rice dishes are just the right amount. My girlfriend really enjoys their phở and orders it every time. Service can be a little slow for drink refills and they are slightly impatient. They will ask you if you are ready to order before you have looked though one page of the menu and will come back to you very quickly to ask if u are ready. The restaurant is very clean I would recommend you trying this place. Even if you are like me and remember this place as a kid but stopped going for some unknown reason. I will update this when i go again. I would recommend you try the phở if this is your first visit.

Every Time I come to this restaurant I always had a bad experience, their foods always disappointed me, their Phở broth is either too bland or too sweet, their foods never taste right, I make a huge mistake today for being lazy to drive, so I decided to walk to Nguyen Hoang and pick up a to go broken rice with pork and steamed eggs, I am totally avoiding their Phở. my «charbroiled» pork chops looks like pieces of jerky and the steamed eggs is too salty, they also add too much coloring to the pork and steamed eggs, why add food coloring!!! The steamed eggs only need a brush of egg yolk and it’ll turn out beautiful, the pork chops only need some honey or cane sugar for a nice color, I am part Vietnamese and I know Com Tam shouldn’t taste like this, I included a photo of my home cook com tam and the restaurant version, judge for yourself.

On a rainy day, nothing can be better than phở. I ordered AA –phở and it is really huge. Plenty of meat and noodle. I give 4 stars because service wasn’t great. If they had greeted with smile, this restaurant definitely deserves 5 star.

This placed served the most disgusting bowl of phở I’ve ever had in my entire life. And I’ve tried making phở at home. –__– How it stays in business is beyond me. But whatever you do, do NOT order the Phở Tai with meatballs(#8). The soup tasted bland, like they just threw in some raw beef with water and cooked it as is. Foul. The noodles are okay and was probably the only thing edible that bowl. The beef(tai) is tough and definitely not fresh and the meatballs taste like they are made of rubber! I have never NOT finished a bowl of phở before, but guess there’s a first time for everything. What a shame! I had to stop eating cause I thought I was going to vomit. Yes, that bad. Skip this place!

Good food with a cheap price. The food is acceptable but not so good. Nice place to eat with many varieties of foods. Their special is on the family course I think. Overall the food is good not that bad. Service is really nice.

Sensational! Everywhere you look in this part of town, there are tons of mom and pop restaurants in sight. This is one of the best! Huge menu variety, including broken rice, phở, pan noodles, and an entire vegetarian section. Great use of flavors and spices, and not too oily or salty. Extremely friendly staff who took the time to show us around the menu on our first visit. Sensational prices, especially for the massive portions. This past Friday, we ordered vegetarian egg rolls, vegetarian hot pot, bun bo hue, and ca phe sua da. Each dish was prepared to perfection, served with a heaping portion of warm hospitality. Tip: Don’t forget to look towards the end of the menu! Lots of good stuff hidden back there near the drink selections!

My husband and i mainly come for 2 of their dishes: the«bun bo hue» and«bun rieu». We have had better but comparing to surrounding phở places nearby, this place has the best of those 2 dishes. The bun rieu in particular as i love how they made the pork/crab meat. They actually use crab meat mixed with dried shrimp which i like and is moist, not dry. Unlike other surrounding places, they just simply use pork with no crab which makes it bland and dry. Only problem is this is a hit and miss in terms of way they make it. Some days they use more fish sauce and/or MSG which makes me feel queasy.(Minus 1-star) The bun bo hue is not the best here but not bad either. Portions are pretty big as well. Tried their phở here and it was ok. Not the best yet not too bad.(Minus ½ star). Service is great because this place somehow isnt as busy as it used to be which is a shame. i feel its mainly because its old, outdated and a bit dirty like feel but don’t let it fool you as seriously, i never got a dirty dish here compared to many other places that looks clean but your dishes are not.(Minus ½ star). Overall, their prices are descent. Flavor is good for some and ok for others but there is always something for everyone with their large selections.

I’ve been coming here for years. For me, it’s a must-visit in the winter and flu season. There’s nothing like hot soup that warms cold fingertips. I always get the beef steak, spring rolls and lemondae soda. Lunch service can be a bit lacking because it’s busy. Also, the parking lot is small and tight. I usually park on the street.

Friend and I had a craving for phở, so we decided to check out this joint. I got a large phở tai and my friend got the BBQ pork over rice with extra meat. Broth was a bit lacking in flavor, but they gave a generous portion of noodles and rare beef. I was about to order a serving of egg rolls, but good thing I didn’t because the large order of phở filled me up. Friend says his BBQ pork was pretty good, good amount of flavoring and marination. Overall, good bang for your buck. Entire meal for two of us cost less than than $ 20. Small parking lot on the premises. Oh, and NASTIESTFISHTANK that greets you when you enter the restaurant… Ask them for extra sliced onions to put into your phở. CASHONLY

I’m half Vietnamese, and Vietnamese food is not my favorite food. But i come here because my family likes it here. It child friendly. They have a variety of dishes. Cash Only: Banks up and down Valley, so stop by one before coming here. My usuals: Bun Cha Goi Thit Nuong or Com Bi Thit Nuong The waitress always remembers I like my nuoc mam with no chili(thank you). She says hi to my daughter, however on one occasion when my daughter was pitching a fit(sitting in the high chair), she did give her an odd look that didn’t sit well with me. The patrons didn’t give me any dirty looks, which was nice and she(my daughter) calmed down after the food came. Their Phở is hit and miss from what my husband says. «It’s good today», is what i would hear. Shouldn’t it be good everyday? Overall I would come back, I have no issues.

One of the nice things about eating at a Phở restaurant is that you know you’re going to be in and out in 20 minutes. At approximately 930, and with a 10 o’clock appointment at Master Wong’s down the street, my bride and I decided to visit this restaurant for a quick bowl of noodles before our foot massages. In short, we were very pleasantly surprised. The broth was definitely traditional, the noodles were cooked to perfection, and there was plenty of meat and my Phở Tai Nam Gan Sach and B’s Tai Chin. We also ordered a rice paper roll wrap with tofu shrimp, noodles, cilantro, and other assorted goodies inside… Served with a delicious peanut sauce. It was all vegetarian, but you could have fooled me and I have a pretty discerning pallet want to comes to seafood. This was definitely one of the old-school Phở places on Valley. It didn’t have a bunch of crazy lighting, stupid nouveau decorations, or trendy garbage hanging from the walls. This was also pleasantly reflected in the price– two big bowls of Phở and an entrée plate, and we walked out of there at 9:55 after dropping and Andy Jackson on the pay tray. Including a 20% tip. Best of all, I was fat and happy for my hour long foot massage down the street. I have no idea what the grade was on the window this place, I don’t think the server understood a word I was saying. But I will be back… It reminded me of the noodle soup spots we used to hit 20 to 25 years ago before it became a trendy $ 12 a bowl affair.

Mmm, delicious Vietnamese food. And the menu is as long as Cheesecake Factory! But much lower prices. Tried the vegetarian bun bo hue. Delicious and super filling. They have a large list of vegetarian items which makes me happy. All at reasonable prices as well. My bf said the chicken curry was good but the chicken was dry. Not sure why that would be since it’s cooked in the curry sauce. The place is a little more dingy than your standard asian restaurant. As long as I don’t find any unwanted bugs in my food I’ll keep coming back.

Lets expand this review. Parking: Parking spots are a bit compact. I would suggest to try to find residential or street parking. Service/Ambiance: Very friendly, attentive and efficent servers who speak different languages. Restaurant is very clean and have alot of tables. The thing that i’ve noticed that is different from other places is that they pop music. I’m guessing they want to stay current from the tradition vietnamese/chinese folk songs in the past Food: Cari ga bun(Vietnamese curry with egg noodles) only $ 5.75– Yeaaaaahhh, my favorite bowl of noodles! Bonus points for adding pig blood. The curry broth is very flavorful and yes it’s a little greasy… but you can always skim the top of the soup and toss out extra grease. In my honest opinion, Curry without grease is just plain boring! They are very generous with their chicken and vegetables. Will be back for more!
