Equal to Golden Deli and in some aspects, superior. Hu tieu and cha gio in particular totally stunts on Golden Deli. Good service and very low level of fuss. Love this place.

OMG if Golden Deli had a doppelgänger it would be Saigon Flavor! I can confidently say that this spot is one of my top 3 spots for Vietnamese food. In the past week I’ve had the pleasure of dinning here twice. The first time I ordered their 2 pork chops with a side of baked egg over rice. This is a favorite dish of mine and I was beyond satisfied. I love how their baked egg was up to par, this is very important to me. To drink I had a French dripped café, which is always strong in flavor and worth the wait. The second time I dinned here I had their phở tai(phở with rare beef). If you are familiar with Golden Deli, the broth is pretty much the same: hot, hearty and full of flavor. The prices and sizes are standard. The menu is vast, consisting of classic Vietnamese cuisine and most importantly easy to understand and contains pictures of their popular dishes. Like many reviews stated before, there is never a wait here, unlike Golden Deli and has potential to be a go-to-spot for phở lovers. Also, its fair to mention parking is limited, but there is a shared lot to the right of the restaurant and street parking right in front. Keep in my mind Saigon Flavor is CLOSED on TUESDAYS. I would highly recommend this spot to any fan of Vietnamese cuisine. I for one will return sole based on their delicious food quality.

This is my 1st visit. The servers were *sshole with an attitude to begin with. They stare down at you like they don’t give a Sh*t. I came here with 4 friends while waiting for the 5th I asked if we could order drinks first then come back for foods. One server walk off really piss, while the second one speaks in Vietnamese…(wuawuaw! !) One of us noticed there was a really long hair in her food. We signal at the server and let her know there was hair. She looked at us like we were the one put in it, then turn around stare at us again… WTH! She argued it wasn’t their. It must be us… So upsetting. . I wished I can put –0 star… The owner really don’t care, he saw the whole things. Dude! You need to training your employees again. Horrible staffs. Plenty of other places… Who needs this. Lost my appetite.. never come back…

Phở… It’s mostly about the broth… It’s so flavorful, light, and delicious here. The brisket and tendon were melt-in-your-mouth and rice noodles were al dente. I will be back for sure! The cha gio was intensely flavorful and delicately crunchy. Can’t go wrong with these and the 5 rolls per order was plentiful compared to many other places. Restaurant is clean and the servers are friendly. They have a huge menu about 10 pages thick so there’s alot to try. Wish I could sample everything. There’s alot of unknown that I would live to try!

Parking is in the rear which is kind of scary at night. So I heard this place is associated with Golden Deli. I ate here a couple of times. They are not as busy as Golden Deli. There’s a few ladies that work here all at the same time with not much to do but to stare at you while you eat. Kind of makes me uncomfortable. I cannot tell if the broth tastes the same. I’m too busy trying to closet eat. Like seriously why are they gawking at me. Lol Golden Deli is always busy and packed but this location not so much. I like eating in peace. I think I’ll stick to Golden Deli. It’s more modern, clean, and has good music. This place kind of depresses me lol

Everyone says their food is good. But I would rather go to Golden Deli. They have exactly the same menu and price. Did I mention that Golden Deli is their sister restaurant? I ordered a grilled pork, spring roll, baked egg rice vermicelli. The spring roll is a must try item! But the grilled pork is a bit overcooked. My friend said it feels like as if eating jerky. Space is fairly small here. And super hard to find a parking space.(Parking is all full.) I had to park at Hawaii supermarket which is located down the street. +: Spring roll is a must try item.

This place has one of the best Vietnamese food in the world. Same quality as Golden Deli on Las Tunas, except much better customer service and way less chaotic. Some of their best items on their menus are: Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls, Best pork chops, salad bowl with bbq pork, their 3 color drinks and their lemon sodas. I live in OC and they are the only reason that I make a trip to San Gabriel. I really wish there was one in OC. If you like Vietnamese foods, I highly recommend that you give this place a try, it will definitely worth your time and money. Everything here is pretty good! I don’t think I’ve ordered anything that wasn’t satisfying. Their Phở is good — but I do have to mention my last visit was especially salty. All their rice plates are pretty darn delicious. as well as their bun(vermicelli). Their egg rolls are especially good, since it’s similar to the one at Golden Deli! Service is okay. Some days they’re really good but when they get too busy they’ll forget things you ask for. But I guess that’s how most asian restaurants are anyways.

I was craving for some Vietnamese food and decided to check this place out. We ordered the banh beo, beef phở, and broken rice w/egg rolls and charboiled meat. Overall, the food was decent but nothing impressive. Prices are reasonable, but I wasn’t «wowed» by this place. I thought the banh beo was pretty dry; I’ve had better elsewhere. The beef phở was okay. The broken rice wasn’t that bad; the egg rolls were juicy and yummy along with the meat, but some things here are a bit of hit and miss. Parking can be tricky. There is a small lot behind the building as well as street parking.

You know why this place is better than its sister restaurant Golden Deli? Because it’s the same food, without the line. If you think otherwise, then please see a doctor and send the bill to me. :) All the food is solid Vietnamese food, no complaints there. The only type of dishes they don’t serve here are family style type dishes. You know how we big families love to eat more types of food. The restaurant style is more for quick individual in and out type of meals. Eggrolls are Café sua da is dripped fresh

I’m always on the lookout for good Vietnamese food and so far Saigon Flavor takes the crown for my favorite phở place in the 626 area. Apparently the people who own this joint are the same people who own Golden Deli(even the menus have the same layout). Seating is quick and prompt; I’ve never had to wait to seated. You get your food quickly as well; my table always gets our food within 5 minutes of ordering. I always get the #2 phở tai(phở with rare beef) and egg rolls. The phở broth is hearty and full of flavor. Upgrade your rare beef to ribeye for only $ 0.50 more. The egg rolls here are spectacular, crispy and greasy, and they come with a plate of veggies to wrap with it. Next time I’ll have to try the Bun Thit Nuong & Cha Gio(grilled pork $ egg roll with rice vermicelli). Service is pretty standard; bunch of kind Vietnamese ladies who speak very little English. Just tell them the number of your order and you’ll be fine. Small lot in the back, fits around 16 or so vehicles.

Been here for many years since high school with the family and was never disappointed. Location/Parking: Located next to Hawaii Supermarket. There’s a small parking lot in the back, but there are plenty of parking along Valley Blvd. Wait time: Depending on the time you go, it can take awhile to be seated. There is no seating area in the front of the restaurant so you’ll have to stand or sit outside of the restaurant. Service: Service is pretty decent here. Once you bypass the bottleneck of getting seated, the service and food getting to the table is fairly fast. The staffers are friendly and attentive. Food: I think the food is delicioius. I’ve had a lot of items over the years, but the top 3 items that stand out are: 1) Cornish hen with
