Good selection, but a bit pricey. We went there recently to get some flowers and shrubs for the front lawn. Guy at the register was friendly and helpful.

Amazing selection of plants at an incredible low price! This place is amazing I was absolutely floored and wish I had found it sooner! As an avid gardener I found items in this store I formerly had to order through catalogs to find. The bonsai selection was unbelievable once again I couldn’t believe my eyes! If your in the area do check this place out

Omg last minute planning for mothers day and 5 mothers is difficult… Thankfully San Gabriel nursery got yo back! They have these assorted bundle of flowers for $ 3.50. Picked out like 10 different bundles and Dorothy put them into 5 nice little bouquets for us and quick too! She finished in like 15 mins and it was $ 35 for everything. Which for being last minute is exceptionally good! I really liked the flowers but more importantly the service that Dorothy gave us was top notch and very friendly!

This our second time coming to San Gabriel Nursery & Florist. My wife needed to buy some ladybugs for her school project for her kindergarten class and flowers for our house. They sell everything you can imagine of flowers, etc…

I’ve been coming here for the past four years for most of my garden needs. Each year the vegetable selection decreases while the prices increases. Needless to say I saved some money and went home empty handed. Not as fond of this place anymore.

Best garden nursery in the San Gabriel and best deals. I lived in the Westside and I still drive all the way to this location. From the flowers, plants, to the soil, there are great selection. Came here on a lazy Sunday and it was beautiful to watch and smell the gorgeous plants and flowers. Also the employees are passionate and knowledgeable about it, so don’t be afraid to ask and make sure you’re taking care your new home decors.

The little tomato plants I bought here are so healthy and growing like crazy! Much faster than the few I bought at another nursery. Great prices too. This is one of if not the best nursery in the San Gabriel Valley!

I call twice looking for a sweet olive. The lady that’s answered the phone didn’t know if they had any. So she put me on hold. I was on hold for over 15 minutes. I hang up and call again just to be told by the same lady that they do have them. I ask her for price and size available. she said she was going to give me a call back with the information. She never did !

Looking to send flowers to my ex-mother-in-law’s funeral. I’m in Massachusetts so I used Unilocal to find the best florist in the area. I called, they were so nice and friendly. I ordered the flowers from their website and my daughter sent me a pic of what they sent. They were beautiful. I’m told people at the service commented how beautiful they were. It warmed my heart! She was such a lovely women.

Conveniently located less than 2 miles from my house means this nursery gets a lot of visits from me. I may not have a green thumb, but that hasn’t stopped me from gardening. Every spring, I like to plant new vegetables in my tiny garden, so I come here for my selection. They have a very good selection at affordable prices, including Asian vegetables that you can’t find at Home Depot or OSH. Aside from their vegetables, they have a great selection of fruit trees, annuals, perennials, drought tolerant plants, bonsai, fertilizer. So basically, a huge selection of garden goods to choose from. In fact, I just bought an ornamental kale there that I’ll be putting in my mom’s new xeriscape front yard. This is the first time I’ve seen one. Their merchandise is not limited to plants though. They also have pots, garden fixtures, and gardening tools. FYI, service is not as quick here. Most of the employees are older and move a tad slow. But don’t let that deter you from checking San Gabriel Nursery & Florist out.

Unbelievable. They have everything you can think of, and everything you can’t think of. Everyone is friendly and ready to help. They are the only place I’ve found with decent organic soil supplies. Great prices as well. Will never go to Armstrong again.

Excellent bonsai(and pre-bonsai for the more experienced) of all sizes. They have tons of elm, olive, juniper, pine, cotoneaster, hawthorn, spruce, azalea, and maple(and several more to a lesser extent), including hard-to-find varieties, and at sensible prices. The trees are super healthy, and I didn’t see any pests or signs of disease. They also have bonsai accessories, like pots, the right soil(e.g., akadama) and fertilizer. A warning if you go for one of those beautiful Japanese maples: maples are easy in most places, but difficult around LA. Keep them out of direct mid-day sun, or their leaves will curl up, the tree will die back, and you will be sad. Otherwise, almost anything you buy from here will be happy outdoors in a mostly sunny spot. The place is also a very nice regular nursery.

I came here for a mothers day present and they had so much beautiful greenery. There were lots of pretty planted pots of flowers. I was looking for orchids and there were so many color options, i was so happily overwhelmed with choices. You can also pick your plant and pot and they will plant it for you and add signs and even wrap it for you. The service was good and a great place to get fresh beautiful plants. Its definitely on the pricier side because it is a nursery. I purchased a plotted orchid that cost twice as much as a similar one found at costco.

I love this place. I was looking to get started on my first back yard farm and was amazed at the variety and quantities at this nursery. Take your time and take a lap around the entire space before you decide what to take home. I found some perilla plants tucked away between some other plants and took them all home. Great Service, Great Price, Great Variety. COMEONDOWN!

We were in a bit of a pickle. Our city, in the past few years, has really been pushing water conservation. What they considered to be over-watering the front lawns could result in a fine. So many of us pretty much let our lawns dry out. Hey, just doing our part, right? We even made some pebble paths in front of our planters to help cover some more space. NOTE: Can’t help but notice how green and lush the lawns of our City Hall are. Pffft! So, we received a citation from the city(May 21) telling us that we have to re-plant grass or ground cover by JUNE1st. Or be subject to fines. Wait, what? Doing that will use up precious water. So now either way, we’re subject to fines? Sheesh. Make up your dang minds! With only a week to get this done, we canceled our weekend plans and ran over to San Gabriel Nursery for the needed materials and advice. We wanted to come here for their expert knowledge and recommendations. We decided to go with ground cover because it takes less water to maintain. Lucky for us, Ben was available and was nice enough to explain the different types of cover and how to go about planting them. He stuck with us all through the buying process and help load up the flats and soil toppings into our car. Great service! My husband was also looking at digging tools and picked up this thingamabob priced at $ 50. One of the older employees recommended another tool he thought would do just as well for half the price. Much appreciated. This nursery has been a go-to since my parents’ time. Decades of good service and healthy plants.

Can we be real here? Don’t lie, ok? Have you ever seen the Garden of Eden? No? Neither have I, but I bet this place comes in a very close second! I’ve been to many a Home Depot, Lowes, and anything similar in your local town but no where have I seen quite a collection as the one accumulated at the San Gabriel Nursery & Florist! With the exception of some(1 or 2 disgruntled employees on the loudspeaker or helping guests.), the workers here are knowledgable and friendly. In fact, they seem SO knowledgable you begin to question their knowledge, Google the name of the plant or type of method for care of certain plants, and — as you sheepishly acknowledge how bad they just PWNed you(pronounced«po-own,» meaning owned your ass), accept what they say at face value and end up buying 3 plants home … a different scenario that the original intent of, «will stop by just to look.» All in all: a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants, flowers, etc., extremely knowledgable staff, and pretty affordable prices(depending on what you want to buy), this is THE place to go for plants and flowers!
