They take wayyyy too long here now and the prices gone up a whole lot. Mind as well go to half and half

I wonder why their reviews aren’t up to par… It’s one thing to cut costs and another to straight up charge people an extra $ 1 for no ice and no sugar. I don’t know what’s worse… Mr. Baguette or here… These people are going to run it to the ground.

Always an easy stop when we are parched.
Drinks come out quickly and the selection is fantastic so no matter what you are in the mood for they have you covered.
Not a huge fan of their green tea and the drinks made with fresh fruit are overly pricey, but I do like the smoothies and slushies.
Service was nice, location simple but clean.
Not my favorite place for drinks, but ok and consistent.

Nice décor and staff. Mango green teas was fine. Blended taro slush was bad, tasted like thick artificial milk powder and fake chemical taro powder. Only 2 other customeres were here so i couldn’t excuse the bad drink. Drank 2 sips and toss it. I won’t come back. Too many boba places to waste money here.

This place is awful, every time I come here they are out of the first two things I ask for. Last time they were out of boba and out of strawberry. This time they were out of earl gray milk tea, and out of watermelon juice. Then after we ordered another couple came in and asked for strawberry yogurt frost things, oh what do you know they are out of strawberry. Then they said ok we will have mango yogurt slush things and guess what… They are also out of mango. So once we finally ordered we waited about 10 minutes for our two milk teas to come out (we didn’t even order anything special, just regular milk tea and it still took 10 minutes to come out). Save your time and your money and go to a different tea place, there are at least 6 different ones within a mile of this place. There tea isn’t even that great here.

I usually come here to eat their combos because its a good ass deal. Plus it come wit a drink and a drink is alrdy like 3 bux so do the math. The reason why im giving it a 4 star is because of the asian cook. Sometimes my curry chicken steak comes out way too undercook til the point i cant even eat it. And sometimes that foo dips out at 11 and i cant order food at 11:10 so that sucks. But is cool i was bouta gibe u guys 3 stars but the other big asian dude wit the glasses is always on point with the cooking. I bump that up to a 4 star.
P. S. try not to order food when the old dark asian cook is workin. Your homies are the other cooks

Walked in all excited with my boyfriend, since he used to come here during his childhood so i started snapchatting and the manager tells me i cannot take a video? she asked me to delete it when it was never saved smh! whats next i cant take a photo of my boba and meal? this place is rediculous, who doesnt want to snapchat or take photo of their deliciousness? pathetic and worse experience since we’re from AZ. never coming again.

Ordered 2 drinks, crispy chicken & crispy tempura total under $ 15!!! Great deal! This place is not so big and have about 4 small tables thay can fit prob total 12 – 15 people.
Good place to chill and hang out with friends bit not for work since the blender is kind of loud.
They make the drinks when you ordered and it take about 5 – 8 mins.
There is an open lot parking next to it. I walked so not sure if its packed or not. You can park on the street as well so its not a big issue.
Love the place and will come again soon.

The popcorn chicken meal is a good deal! Does not taste bad, is very filling and is less than $ 5. It comes with a tea drink too. Plus you can upgrade it to another flavor too. I got jasmine green tea which was good. I wouldnt get the popcorn chicken alone when you can pay a little more for rice, veggies with some ground meat, and tea!

I always come here to do homework and hang out with my friends. The ambiance is great here and the servers are nice as well! I personally love their snacks: french fries, crispy chicken wings and pot stickers. My boyfriend loves their string beans. Their drinks are great too (: I love their papaya icy ITS SO GOOOOOD. I just hate how they’re so stingy with the water. (They charge you $ 1 for a cup of water). But overall it’s a great place to hang out. Just make sure you come here before the Jefferson middle school kids come, otherwise you won’t get a seat.): It gets pretty packed at night too.

Just had the popcorn chicken w/​rice and it was delicious! Comes with black tea or green tea and total was only $ 6.50! That’s as cheap as it gets. If you’re hungry and want something to fill your stomach, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Their boba are also very good! Interior is nice and clean, I can tell they care about their sanitation.
Highly recommended!

We have been going to this TapEx off and on for a good 6+ years, but no more. To give you a point of reference for my review, we are hard core boba drinkers and recognize that TapEx is no where near good boba/​tea but we go hear because it’s close, it’s hot and we need SOMEthing sweet. We ordered a strawberry yogurt frost and honeydew snow bubble both of which with just so-​so but noticeably not as good as in the past.
The reason I’m so unhappy today and will not return is knowing how cheap the owner is and his/​her disregard for customer service. (1) It’s a 100-​degrees out but the store barely has its AC on. (2) Our honeydew snow bubble arrived without the boba I paid for. The staff was very nice about correcting the issue but balked when I said to just give me the boba on the side inside of going back and getting me a new cup. (3) The new cup was leaking all over the place so I asked for a larger cup. They refused because their owner counts cups and they can’t justify a missing large cup. Their remedy was taking my drink back and making it thicker by adding ice to an already bland drink. Since I declined, the best they could do was use their employee only thick paper towels and wrap my cup. (4) The store is waiting for their new price boards to be updated. However, their POS is and is already charging customers an extra $ 0.25−0.50 per drink. (5) I paid darn near $ 9 for regular sized drinks for TapEx quality drinks. For that price, I should I gone to somewhere like Coco, Honey Boba or Half n Half. Hells, what’s to keep them from raising their prices to Tea Station’s!
The worst part of all is the manager, or maybe even owner, was there!
And that is why… I’m done.

Hmm Mehh… This tapex isn’t as good as the other locations I’ve been to. Me and my girlfriend came here around 2pm so we can order snacks and a drink, but they said their kitchen was closed and won’t be open until 2:30! So we literally sat there and waited for 30 mins just to get some food. I know other tap places where the kitchen doesn’t take breaks and serve food all day.
We got their French fries, and they ended up being the thick kinds :(Hmm… I like thin fries way better, but that’s just my preference. Any place that has thick fries, it’s always so extremely dry. Makes me super thirsty and my mouth all pasty.
I also asked for water, and they literally give you like the smallest cup ever. lol it was actually really funny. Just the thought of how ridiculous that cup looked like makes me laugh… stingy much?

After having an awkward, back and forth moment of me saying my order, and the guy repetitively asking me medium or large, without even being able to understand why I’m asking in the first place, I finally said it was because he had a different drink written on the part of the register facing me, and finally he said it was the other person in my party’s drink order. He could have lessened the confusing misunderstanding sooner. He/​another employee working in the back ended up serving all of my party’s drinks perfectly fine except for mine, proof in the picture. It was also leaking from the messed up sealing. Even if it just so coincidentally messed up my drink when it went through the machine, is this still appropriate to serve to customers?
I didn’t bring it up because I felt targeted by the worker. I also didn’t bring it up because I wasn’t sure if this TapEx even has a high standard for professionalism. Lastly, there seemed to be an inconsistent taste in texture in my passion fruit green tea w/​no toppings in it. It should taste just as a liquid, but there were slimy textures that weren’t visible to the eye. Can someone tell me what that was???
The worker didn’t know how to communicate during that awkward moment until I worded my question differently. He could argue to let him do his own job, but how can he be doing it accurately when he didn’t even know how inappropriate it was to serve a messed up product in the end? He could have proven to me that he was better than that. But all of this happening consecutively was too immature.

This place used to be my go-​to for boba! Quite a nice, small place with a tiny parking lot that fits your car quite snuggly.
You know when you order crispy chicken extra spicy and it comes just a little red on top and you’re wondering where all the pepper went? This place is the exact opposite! They know spicy! This is why I always go here for their popcorn chicken!
Anyways, their drinks are quite nice. They give generous amounts of boba and mix their drinks quite well.
Study here? Maybe. They have WiFi but this place gets quite loud. People hang out here a lot. If you want to study here, go on awkward hours. Peak hours will most likely result in people yelling across their table trying to talk to one another. I’m exaggerating. But in all seriousness, it gets quite loud.
So, that being said: place is last resort to study! But if you’re looking for spicy crispy chicken, go here! Drinks are quite nice

This used to be my go-​to spot in high school. I loved their tempura combos and fries! So I had a random craving for their fries today and decided to come by here for the first time in half a decade.
I was sad to see that they raised their prices, but this seems to be something recently done. I ordered fries ($ 2.99) with medium spicy. And guess what? They were exactly has amazing as I remembered. I love how the fries are tempura fried with a spicy chili seasoning. This is one of my favorite fries and I’m a huge lover of fries.
The only downside is that the place is small and filled with high school kids but I’ll be back for their fried stuff and take it to-​go.

I could basically walk to this Tapioca Express since it’s so close by. But nah, we live in LA. hahaha.
This location is never crowded whenever I go, and it seems a bit cleaner than the other ones. I haven’t tried everything in their menu, but rather just order my green tea here. I always ask for less sugar nowadays and minus the boba most of the time. The drinks here are nicely mixed as it’s also refreshing. And in most cases they are quick and consistent.
I like Tapioca Express, and the drinks are a bit less expensive here if you compare it to Tea Station. My green tea costs a couple bucks, while at other tea places, it’ll be about a buck more.
So a tea and coffee lover like myself is always looking for a consistent and less expensive location.

Hong kong milk tea was like milky water. The tea flavor was there but nowhere near real HK milk tea. Pass!
Yogurt kiwi drink was not good. I’ve had the yogurt drinks at other Tapioca Express’s and theirs were sweeter and whipped nicer. Pass!
Fruit in the display cases had fungus on them. PASS!
