Used to be a fan of the value even after the ownership change but the workers just aren’t fluent enough to get my order right. Maybe it’s the late night that strengthens the language barrier but I’m only going to come here as a last resort from now on. They gave me a matcha milk tea instead of a matcha milk cream. Twice. Shame on me for letting them make the same mistake twice

My friend loves this place and i decided to try it for the first time. Im a big coffe and tea girl so i decided to try something a bit different… I had the grapefruit tea and it was so yummy. She had the mango one and it was pretty delicious as well. Love this place !

Okay, Tbay is kind of part of my boyfriend and I’s love story as cheesy as it sounds. Together, we gained a love for the Hokkaido milk cream and the sea salt milk cream and we’ve been ordering these two drinks together ever since! Pretty funny. We order them every single time we come, which is pretty often. Tbay is pretty much our go to. I don’t know where I’d go if Tbay didn’t exist because sea salt milk cream is pretty much my favorite boba drink! I don’t usually stay and sit around at their tables though, although I think their place is relatively nice to chill and relax at! I usually order my boba and just go. The workers aren’t rude or bad in any way which I really appreciate. I don’t really have many bad things to say! Stay great please thank you :)

Milk tea boba with egg pudding was okay. But the customer service was crap. The cashier was so fricking rude with his non-English speaking self. I get that it’s a predominantly Chinese neighborhood, but the workers should have at least some basic English proficiency. If not, at least be polite and have great customer service. He was getting mad at me for me not understanding him. Worst customer service ever. Same with the lady working at the boba store in the market next door. Is that the culture or theme of this city?

Tbay used to be really amazing and I used to really enjoy it but bought a drink with boba and was a bit disappointed the boba was a bit too hard… Tbay has definitely lowered its quality. I would say Nest Teahouse is like how Tbay was before if not better :)

Came here to try their drinks since ppl say it’s the same owner as Nest Tea in Arcadia. Rumor maybe? There are similarities but not when it come to prices and quality. I ordered the lychee green tea with boba and lychee jelly. It tasted watered down and they were stingy with the add ons. Next time I will just make the trek to Nest Tea.

Not my my type of Tea place. Water down Guava Yogurt Juice that cost $ 5 for large. Didn’t have what I usually like from Half n half & Le Abre. Menu is limited.

I always crave Tbay! Their Hokkaido milk tea is my favorite. It’s exceptionally good at Tbay. Their Hokkaido tops any other place I’ve had. They also have a pretty spacious area to study. My friends introduced me to this place and I’ve been going back ever since. Their boba is also really chewy and sweet and I really enjoy it. I would definitely recommend Tbay to anyone craving boba in the 626 area!

I come here frequently since a lot of my friends go here to chill. I’ve had a good amount of the drinks on their menu and honestly its just okay. Their drinks don’t taste like syrup and water, which is good. But they also don’t taste great either. Everyone will tell you to get their Hokkaido milk tea which can be inconsistent at times. The food is just like any other boba place so you know just order popcorn chicken. The service is overall pretty good, no problems since I started coming here. They really don’t care if you just sit there and don’t order anything. Parking can be difficult in the day time but its way easier at night when the plaza empties out. To sum it all up, Tbay is a place I don’t mind going to but its also a place I’d never choose to go to on my own.

I guess it’s a yearly tradition for me as the last time I was here was when I did my taxes last year. It’s right across from my tax preparer and a perfect go to snack and drink place for having to drive an hour in from the San Fernando Valley. The tea is of the quality I would expect from the SGV. What I don’t understand is how so many students are studying here when the music is so loud. The popcorn chicken and the fried tofu are really good. The tofu was simply delicious and a small taste of heaven. The popcorn chicken is good but I prefer the spicier variety with the seasoning salt. Guess I’ll be back here next year when I come back to do my taxes again.

Tried oolong milk tea — it’s pretty ordinary. Meaning it does not live up with what I expected it to be. Wondering why people were saying its good — it’s just kinda watery and sweet. Does not have the typical tea aroma you can get from good milk-teas. Service was okay. Extra charge will be added if you use cards to pay. Maybe a okay spot for relaxing or study.

I heard that Tbay got a new owner or something? But gg because the tea is not the same. Pretty disappointed because this used to be my go to spot. Now I have to find a new one. The new workers don’t know what jasmine milk tea is, it’s now called green milk tea… whatevs same thing but I’ve gone 3 times since I heard of the new owner and all 3 times were disappointments. Today I picked up a large green milk tea on my way to school and it literally tasted like spoiled milk. the barista explained to me how they don’t use normal milk, it’s like coffee milk or something so it doesn’t spoil, so I get that I wasn’t drinking bad milk but nonetheless, it still tasted like it lol. I prob will go back to pick up my free drink from stamps but I think I’m guna have to find a new go to place now sigh.

For some reason, whenever I hear the word«hokkaido,» I’m always sucked into that business and determined to try it. That’s what happened for me with Tbay and ironically, Tbay got me fearing the word«hokkaido» now. Tbay’s hokkaido drink is with your choice of tea, topped with milk cream. It sounds delicious, right? Except it wasn’t. It was simply the worst drink I’ve ever tried in my life because it was bland and the drink just didn’t mix and god, I don’t even know how to explain it, but it was TERRIBLE. Do not waste your money like I did.

I have mixed feelings about this place. There aren’t that many good boba places immediately around that area, so Tbay is a nice sight for sore eyes.(But if you are going that far, might as well just go to Factory Tea Bar! Nom nom milk anyone?) We just parked in the huge lot around the corner that has the 168 supermarket. Yeah, I know you go there for those snacks. The milk cream hokkaido green tea that I tried was decent, but just not really worth the price – and that’s even after the 10% off for Unilocal check-in. It was a refreshing drink, with the milk cream adding a nice touch. Probably one of the better hokkaido milk teas I’ve had. However, the service was one of the worst that I’ve ever had at a boba shop. I’m not sure how long I waited, but I was already bored by the time the drinks were done. I remember checking quite a few times because it was just that long of a wait. You should probably bring a deck of cards to play with your friends if you are going when there’s a lot of people inside. Regrets.

Yay for opening until 1AM for late night cravings! :) First time here was with my nursing gf and I was recommended Rose Milk Tea and it smelled and tasted heavenly. It was definitely love at first sip because I love the smell of roses! I think their drinks are slightly on the sweeter side but it was never a problem for me since I like to slowly savor my drinks allowing some of the ice to melt. I really like their popcorn chicken, it’s crispy and flavorful. This is the first place that I know serves different favors of popcorn chicken. I forgot what the other flavors are but I always get pepper. :) The staffs are really friendly especially Kim(I think he’s the manager.) They always get my phone order correct and in a timely manner. TIP: -$ 10 minium for CC –Stamp card: free drink after 10th stamp –Large parking lot shared with 168 Supermarket –Free WiFi –Seats indoor and outdoor Overall, friendly customer service, tasty drinks/snacks, nice environment & prices are reasonable. :)

Decent spot for milk tea in SGV. I think their specials are their Hokkaido Cream and other Milk Cream Teas but I opted for my go-to which is milk green tea with boba. It was good, pretty average. I will never turn down milk green tea. I would come here again if a friend wanted to but probably wouldn’t seek it out. One thing that was nice was the servers remembered who ordered which drinks and was able to drop them off one by one for our party of 7. I don’t drive all the way out to San Gabriel just for boba, but I am fairly certain there are other specialty asian beverage players around the area that are better.

I’m honestly not that big of a fan of Tbay because all their drinks taste super artificial to me. There’s nothing natural or fresh. Most of the teas are from syrups and you can really taste the syrup in it because its sweet. The milk teas are just OK. I would only come here if i’m really craving tea and everything else was closed(why I went on thanksgiving). If its your first time here I would recommend any of their milk teas/hokkaido with the cream on top. I don’t think its that amazing here but some people say otherwise. The passionfruit mango tea is also decent, but very syrupy.

A-OKKKK is right! Last time I’ve been here was probably years ago, my sister was craving boba and we were at 168 market so we decided to stop by. She ordered a Rose Milk Tea with boba and I ordered a Mango Green Tea with lychee jelly. My sister’s Rose Milk Tea was soooooo sweet I couldn’t handle it and she didn’t really enjoy it either. My mango green tea wasn’t bad, then again, you can’t ever really mess up mango green tea. They’re known for their Hokkaido Milk Teas and Sea Salt Mik Teas. I’m not a fan of any Hokkaido soooo don’t plan on it, but supposedly they’re really good here. Would I come back here again? I guess if I was close by, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. LOL… forever favs will still be Ozero and T-Pumps. Then again, I’m not a crazy milk tea drinker and def. not a boba eater LOL… Service: They’re really nice! And they have a stamp card tooooo. 10% off when you check inn.

Got the Hokkaido Milk Cream Green Tea and it was delicious! Unfortunately, my drink was the only one that was good. My friends all ordered different versions of the hokkaido milk cream and they all tasted inconsistent and some even tasted as if there was no sugar added. Also note that they no longer have the cute potted milk teas: c (They should really change the photo for the store, it’s misleading) Another setback, when we arrived at around noon they informed us that their boba was not ready, even though they had opened about an hour before we arrived :/ Overall, I like this place and I love the way the hokkaido milk cream green tea tastes, I just wish they were more consistent with their drinks But if you check-in here, you get 10% off your drink order!

A pretty legit tea shop! My friend recommended me to try the Hokkaido milk cream and it did not disappoint. You can choose from three flavors: oolong, black, or green tea. I personally love my drinks on the sweeter side so the green tea was just perfect for me. I thought the cream was smooth and it complemented the green tea really well. I opened the lid to try the cream first and the flavor was just heavenly. I can definitely see myself coming back here for that drink. TIP: 10 percent off drinks or food with check in! Yayyy! Parking: it can be tricky but I was able to get a spot right in the front.
