For the price and the food, this really isn’t that bad! Don’t expect Las Vegas buffet because this is a 13.95 dollar lunch LOL The highlight for my lunch was the wonton! Really fresh and comparable to your typical authentic HK restaurant wonton. My aunt is picky AF and she was so impressed she got 3 bowls. I also liked their pasta and they had a large selection of soups. Pig’s foot was also very nice. Ok basically, the food is pretty worth the price and I’d recommend it! If you’re looking for unlimited food at a cheap price, try this place out.

I never know there is buffet in Hilton San Gabriel, was meeting a old friend for a lunch. The atmosphere is very nice, clean and good lightning. I check the menu, surprisingly the price is very cheap $ 13.95 per person. Also they have variety of choice from Western food and Asian cuisine. There are meat, seafood, vegetables. Especially there salmon it is very fresh and tasty! The service is very good as well. I will definitely come back next time with my friends.

What a shitty experience. Management, there’s a reason your food is decent but your reviews are still shit. Your staff. First off, how many of you have ever asked for water with lemon? Possibly hot water with lemon? Well that’s what we did because my mom didn’t want cold water due to a cold and the waiter very nicely gave us a teapot of just water and lemon, including what we THOUGHT was a nice gesture, honey packets on the side. We found out later that they tried to charge as nearly $ 4 for what Starbucks gives for free at their self serve bar. Really? Ha. Very classy. I would be more than happy to oblige had this been tea. But it was HOTWATER. we inquired, confused. Their response? Well you got honey. …but did we ask for honey? No. So basically the Hilton forced this on us. That’s cute. Next time maybe the staff should bring a lobster over and say«oh because we brought it you, despite not ordering it, now owe us additional $.» I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. And when it came there were avocado slices. The waitress saw me picking at the sandwich and asked what was wrong. I told her the truth, that I didn’t realize there was avocado on it and I’m really allergic. I also added«it was probably my fault that I didn’t ask.» She stared at me blankly then said«well it was on the menu.» I responded«that’s weird– I read it and didn’t see it. But I probably missed it.» She then said«it was on the menu(again). eat around it.» Does she know what an allergy reaction is? Does she know I may have died? Most restaurants are hypersensitive to that. Wtf. I didn’t say anything but«don’t worry bout it.» I just watched everyone else at my table eat. Honestly, I wasn’t looking for a replacement or anything of the sort but getting spoken down to was unacceptable. On my way out, I grabbed a menu because I was more bewildered than anything that I didn’t see the avocado(when you’re allergic to something, the ingredient you’re allergic to really stands out on a menu). So I grabbed the menu. And you know what wasn’t on it? The word«avocado.»

Came for the lunch buffet on a Saturday. It was about $ 14/person. Food options are extremely limited. Lunch also ends at 2pm, so they basically stop bringing out new stuff around 1pm. The majority is Chinese food, and include a shrimp and fish dish, vegetables, mushrooms, rice noodles, a noodle station with egg noodles, a seafood soup(fried scallops), a chinese herbal soup, American style BBQ ribs, scalloped potatoes, shredded beef, 1 fish sashimi(some type of white fish), a salad bar, pastries, and dessert. That is literally every item available. Even though the options are limited, the Chinese food is good. Not too salty and pretty authentic. The shrimp was large and fresh. The sashimi was pretty tasty as well. I really enjoyed the soups though. You probably cannot order those type of soups anywhere and I think that’s what makes the buffet unique and worthwhile.

This buffet is located inside the San Gabriel Hilton! I came here for lunch with my family and I’d have to say, the food here is actually quite good. Not the biggest selection out there — they only serve a few traditional Asian-style dishes and a few Western-style things — but what they do have is undeniably tasty. There’s also a tiny salad bar and some pastries and desserts, as well as fresh fruit and a couple soups to choose from. And they have a noodle station where they cook up a bowl of noodles right there for you! Who doesn’t love a noodle station? I especially looved their salmon — soo incredibly juicy and flavorful. I could eat that salmon for days on end. Their steak was also pretty good, but obviously you can’t compare it to what you can get at the big steakhouses in LA. My sister really liked it though. Definitely still worth a try. Overall though, for the price they charge per person I expected a lot more choices. The food is great but its such a ripoff because after one or two rounds, it gets very boring. If this place were more reasonably priced this would be somewhere I’d take friends but since its not, I guess I’ll just have to pass. There are certainly more affordable and interesting places to eat at in this area.

The chef at the made-to-order station dropped a soup spoon on the floor and proceeded in using it afterwards to scoop soup for guests… gross! My mom kept raving about this buffet but I honestly think its just meh. For around $ 12 you get a majority of the brunch items which consists of mainly Chinese food. They have a variety of soups, desserts, and entrees, but the stand out items were at the made-to-order station where you can order wonton soup, beef noodle soup, minced pork with egg noodle soup, etc. I enjoyed the food until I found out from my cousin that he saw the chef use a spoon that he dropped on the ground. It seriously makes me doubt what kind of health standards they abide by. There’s many other great restaurants in the area so I highly suggest looking into other options unless you want to chill around the Hilton hotel for the ambiance which is otherwise pretty nice.

This place is good. I’ve lived in rosemead all my life and never knew of this little gem. There breakfast buffet is great! They have all the classic American ballast items and a good amount of Asian breakfast. Dim sum. There lunch menu change since the last time I was there. I enjoy the steaks they have and they have a great burger! For I think ten or eleven bucks it comes with beacon and avocado!!!

Blurg. They have a corner on the market if you are staying here since walking is probably not going to happen if you are lazy, and there is not much in reasonable walking distance anyway if English is your only language. If I went for a stroll I would probably end up in a massage parlor than a Taco Bell anyway, a lot of the signs did not have English translations. The sausage is the best thing for the breakfast buffet. The bacon is too crispy, no me gusta. Think about that — me saying something negative about bacon. The fruit looked worked over and disgusting. The salmon looked like it came out of the reject slop pile. The omelette guy is a bit hard of hearing but I did like my egg whites omelette, at least that part was right, egg whites are everything. They have soy milk. That is the second and only other high point of the buffet besides the sausage. All together though, $ 19.95 billed to my room is very steep for something that basically translates to Denny’s quality at chic brunch pricing where you pay for atmosphere and typically at least get a bloody mary or if it is a dry brunch(ew) then at least there is some eye candy to stare at. There was no eye candy to be found at any of the breakfasts all week. Fail. So get some bloody mary up in here.

This restaurant is located within the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel. My family gathers here when we’re unable to book a room for large parties at any other Chinese restaurant. Clean? Yeah. Tasty? Meh. My aunt always has us eating at the buffet, and for $ 15/person, you can have all the noodles, sushi, and random Chinese food you’d like. Pity it’s all quite mediocre… I like the sweet soups though.

This is the buffet inside the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel. Let me say that this place is NOT good… I would never come here if I have to pay. Lunch was $ 15 per person(which I think is way too expensive for what you get). There was probably about 20 or maybe even less options to choose from! They weren’t even good! The spoons to scoop the food were sticky. Many of the dishes had ran out by the time we got there. And they have this«sushi» section with 1 thats right 1! sushi thing. And it was NOT fresh… and their wasabe sucked. Everyone references the service… but ITS A BUFFET!!! WHOCARESABOUTSERVICE!!! I would not recommend this place…

I come here some time with my company for lunch. I personally like the food here because sometimes they have the followings items for me: 1. smooth tofu 2. steam salmon 3. mushroom cream soup(very mushroomy!!) I think they also have the chicken cocktail soup which is really good. Their service is good but it’s expected because it’s in the Hilton hotel. lol. Sometimes you might experience that they went out of food but just wait a little bit and they would refill the foods again. Overall, i like this place and i dunno how much they charge per person because my boss paid. heheh.

Meh… Swung by here last night(Saturday) because my dad’s friend didn’t want to go far or wait for dinner. We were the only people in there, which hasn’t happened to me in a long time. On to the food — we had some things off their Asian menu: a scallop dish of some sort, a beef stir-fry(with scallions and ginger), steamed pork dumplings(xiao long bao), lightly deep fried shrimp with some soy sauce on it, and a steamed sea bass(I didn’t order, so forgive me if none of these descriptions make sense). Everything was passable, but none of it was really good. The dumplings were ok; they tasted like xiao long bao at every other joint in the SGV. The shrimp had chunks of congealed starch — it looks like the chef didn’t pay very much attention when putting together this dish. The sea bass wasn’t fresh — it was super fishy. I’d say the quality of food would be passable in a to-go styrofoam box from Sam Woo, but not from a joint that charges $ 20 for a shrimp dish. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay.

Though I come here for meetings from time to time, I’d rather not eat here for the price it’s charging. This is the only nicer convenient place in San Gabriel to have a business meeting. The buffet usually has about 10 – 12 dishes of main course. On the surface, they all look ok, but the food quality is awful. Salmon is always over cooked. Beef is too tough. Vegetable not fresh. The dishes are not tasty. The soup has so little substance in it that it literally means just soup. If they add anything in it, usually it’s cheap items. The salad bar is less than a Marie Calendar or even Carl’s Jr. salad bar. The breakfast is just like a regular Holiday Inn breakfast. I think the Asian owner in the effort of saving money to turn profit, sacrifices too much on the food and cheapen the restaurant which is supposed to be much better in a nice hotel as Hilton.

It tasted old and mikrowaved, He didn’t want to complaign budt because was so bad he couldn’t stand it. I am a seafood lover and they didn’t have seabass and the server said that the salmon wasn’t so fresh WOW! Later they found some seabass. our casar salad was ok, WHO put tomatoes and cucumbers on the caesar salad? Some chef that was in training? My seabass was bad as well, I think they makrowave my food as well, it was goo a little fishy. I didn’t complaign NOFLAVOURATALL. Even the FREE chocolate strawberries were not ripe and cheap quality. My husband and I were very upset because we were celebriting our special DAY, and it SUKSASS. tonight we are going to real stake house DONOVANS in SD. Oh god is this place bad. Its not even craptastic! There isn’t even a word that describes the awful food. I went there for lunch today for an «all you can eat» lunch and it was just sad. Only half the buffet tables had food. They had about 12 dishes for the«main courses». It was nothing spectacular… tofu, salmon, some brown meat dish, corn with breakfast sausage, just to name a few of the unappetizing dishes. They had a tiny salad bar. A tiny dessert bar with 3 items and various soups. Oh and a «won ton noodle soup bar» made by a stand by attendant. Everything tasted like leftovers! And not the good kind that you don’t mind eating cold. I think the best tasting thing there was my cup of water.

So went to this place for Mother’s day. My first impression was«oh cool» then after I circled the actual offerings, it was actually not all that. Lobster was so small, might as well be a crawfish, and abalone swimming in whatever sauce, it’s like a joke. Place is nice, waiters are nice too, but food is meh… For $ 50, is so not worth it! Oh i think my bf, met one of his tricks here, bad boy!

Way too much going on at the San Gabriel Hilton for my taste. The outside is nice and pretty simple, but inside, there’s decorations upon decorations. Not my thing. I needed to go to my Kiwanis luncheon and arrived fifteen minutes early, I like going the extra mile. By the way, I got here by foot. Good old exercise does a body good, but as for parking, either you park underground or wait for a long time. If you’re staying at the Hilton, it shouldn’t be a problem at all. A hotel employee walked up to me and asked if I needed help. I told him what I was there for, and he lead me to the Trinity room. I’m not sure if the Hilton has different little restaurants in their hotel, but this one had the buffet aspect to it. And again, lots and lots of decorations. I’m sure Paris’ dad loves to accessorize just as much as his daughter does. I walked to the back of the place, and there was a mini room in here that had doors blocking it off from the rest of the guests. Two tables with about twelves seats, not too crowded. The waitress was really attentive and nice. Didn’t take long to get my drink. The food wasn’t too bad, a bit cold, but not bad. It’s really Asian based here, after all, this is San Gabriel. Strawberries weren’t the best out of the bunch and the croissants were hard. The noodles they have look good, but come in small servings so you’ll have to go back a couple times. If you’re looking for some Asian food, drive anywhere on Valley and it’ll be a lot better and fresher than what they have here at the Hilton. Right in the plaza is Ajisen Ramen, see the review if you want, and plenty of other places to eat. My lunch was free, so I’m sorry I can’t tell you about the prices!
