Emilio’s Restaurant

Last night my wife and I attended a seminar here and had dinner that came with it. All of the attendees were served their Pollo a La Javier which is normally listed under their Emilio’s Especiales section of their menu. It was delicious and was a large portion as well. It normally goes for $ 14.95 and is a half fresh chicken simmered in Javier’s own sauce of bell peppers, onions & fresh tomatoes. You have a choice of corn or flour tortillas that come with it. I had the corn tortillas. The rice and beans that came with it were also very good. The chips that we were given were decent. I walked around the restaurant which seemed to be casual and clean. The lounge has a TV. They have a Happy Hour in the lounge area from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We understand Emilio’s has excellent Margaritas. As we were getting to leave the restaurant we noticed there were a very large amount of customers here which is an indication of how good Emilio’s is. They have a large parking lot in the back. We definitely plan on returning here soon. By the way, they are closed on Mondays.

The dish I ate was OK my wife had same after about 2 hours we had upset stomachs. diarrhea and vomiting We will never eat here again. I wonder if it was the salad. main course. Or food handlers not washing their hands. It took about 2 and half days to recover. this was the only meal we ate that day we felt fine before we ate. Called the owner he did not seem concerned. Or sympathetic I Do Not ADVISE EATING HERE!

We passed the place because it’s right off the street.
Walking in– looks like the owner; she didn’t look too friendly, no smiles just said hold on. Another gal came up, she was friendly and sat us.
Ordered two cokes; they were flat. Thought maybe it was just the cokes so I ordered a Sprite, but was still a flat soda.
Chips and salsa. Chips were good, salsa was not.
Food was okay, not the best!
Servers were awesome tho. Very nice and refilled everything before it went empty.
It’s a good family spot but we won’t be coming back.

This is absolutely the best mexican food in Hemet! The chips and salsa are great and the food is outstanding. I always get the chile rellenos or the carnitas wet burrito. Sooo good! My husband loves the carnitas Chimichanga. Always great service.

Always good food and service… No complaints there. I love all the flavor options with their margaritas! I just wish they offered a larger seafood menu and their women’s bathroom needs a lot of work!

We had reservations for a friend’s birthday. She has been going to Emilio’s since they opened. Horrible service! Awful! Our waiter disappeared. Later, they all sang to another group, but not ours. How despicable. They owner knows our birthday girl. None of us have felt like calling to tell him. As of the last year or so, it seems he and his crew have lost interest…
We haven’t been back. Los Vaqueros is our new hangout. Too bad

Chile Relleno was excellent. Service was speedy. The only negative note was being seated in the banquet room where a get together for a funeral wax wrapping up. Bad form to seat us there. Salsa was very spicy… brother and SIL loved it.

By far AMAZING margaritas!!! Wonderful friendly service! This place has been a go to for many years… born and raised in Hemet/​San Jacinto I highly recommend it and you can’t go wrong with anything.

Great food, good service. It is a good place for a sit down «Mexican Food» meal. I still prefer taco shops over places like this but the food is far better than any chain «Mexican» places.
Great spot! Ive been here 3 or 4 times and every experience has been wonderful. Good sized portions, attentive staff (except to pay the bill, that was annoying once but it was fine not enough to dock a star)

We had Emilio’s Restaurant cater our wedding. We were referred by a friend, who also had Juan Carlos cater her wedding. From the beginning Juan Carlos was very friendly and accommodating. Before the wedding we had a tasting where we went to the restaurant and enjoyed appetizers and all of the food from our menu. The food at that time was great. At the wedding, the food was prepared so beautifully. The team was very professional. To my surprise, the food was actually EVEN BETTER at the wedding. We heard many great things from our guests about the food. Overall we are HIGHLY pleased with our experience with Emilio’s Restaurant. Thank you guys for your service!

Realy good mexican food prob best in town sit down mexican food wet burritos are good shreaded beef tacos are the best good help cup never runs dry

I was not impressed with the generic Mexican food, sorry. Our bill was wrong, so make sure you check yours. Service was not good either.

I have been here 40 mins still no food. Chips are stale.
Update after an hour and 2 tables that sat down after us getting there food we decided to leave. No offer of apology from owner or staff. Very disappointed

Emilio’s is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Hemet/​San Jacinto. The food is always good, hot and service is fast and friendly. We love their hard shell tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and carnitas! You won’t be disappointed!
Cadillac margaritas are great! They offer top shelf tequila as well. Chips and salsa are fab! It’s always very clean and very well maintained.

I came here for dinner with a friend of mine. Mexican food is my favorite, but I’ve also had some botched versions, so I try to stick with the spots I know. We decided on Emilio’s anyway, considering it was close at the time.
LOCATION: Right on the street. You might pass it, as I did and had to double back. Up front, there are only handicapped spaces. Once you drive in, you’ll see a big parking lot in the back. The restaurant is big and can accommodate large groups.
SERVICE: Our server was pretty good. She was spread thin, but made it all work.
DRINKS: I ordered the Cadillac Margarita and it was perfect!
FOOD: Chips and salsa are a big thing for me and the chips and salsa that were served here fell short. It wasn’t the best I’ve had. For my meal, I ordered the Chiles Rellenos with beans & rice. They were good! My friend ordered the two Taquitos meal. The Taquitos were a little dry.
It seems like Emilio’s is an okay-​bordering-​good place, depending on what you order. If I decided to come back, which I wouldn’t mind, it would be during Happy Hour.

Super good drinks! Best Margaritas I had! That’s was good too, the shrimp enchiladas were too good. Great family restaurant

Been here three times since we moved to this area. First two times were great. Couldn’t get service on the third time and had to ask for someone to take our order. Only four tables in the restaurant had customers including us. Poor service this time around. Good food, but have left other places just for the poor customer service. Hope they get it together. I like the food here.

We decided to try this place based on most of the reviews… also wanted a good margarita. Anyhow, this place was as expected, great service, great food and the margaritas were not «watered down». All in all a great place and we will come here again.

Absolute best Mexican food restaurant in town! Our #1 «go to» place.
Food is always good as is the service. The fact that they are almost always busy should tell you something.
Only disappointing thing is that they are closed on Mondays.

We have eaten here several times and the food was always very good. Unfortunately not today. Our party ordered the carnitas which was greasy, another order was meat, also very greasy. Both persons got intestinal up set and frequency as a result of the food. Be careful of being grease sick from the meat.
