I really like that their cookies are not that sweet. The famous raisin cookies are delicious! The funniest thing is that the owner was trying to stuff me with free cookie samples although I told him 1 was enough… I gave him extra for stuffing me with so many cookies!

I told him that I need a carousel cake for my baby first birthday for 40 people, he wanted a deposit we gave him $ 60 the cake was $ 120. When my husband went for the cake it was bigger and he charge more, he didn’t call us or anything. What the fuck!@@!! I took a picture of the recipe it said $ 120

The rice cookie is absolutely the best and the saffron ice cream is so delicious, I cant stop eating. They were very friendly, explained the ingredients in each cookie and even let me try a bunch of cookies before I decided which ones I wanted to buy. Don’t let the look of that place fool you, everything there is fresh, great quality and very reasonably priced.

I went in today to buy the Persian ice cream, saffron and rose water flavor, super creamy and delicious. My friend and I tried an assortment of their cookies, many with walnuts, not too sweet, perfect with tea or coffee for an afternoon treat. The young woman serving us was helpful explaining the fillings of each cookie. She was shy but smiling as we asked many questions, since we both like to bake. I look forward to a return visit to try the pistachio ice cram, sold in quarts to go only. It is a clean, attractive shop with good prices.

This place has gone downhill since changing ownership recently. Since then, my experience has been disappointing. I used to get the Princess Cake every year for my birthday. It had a smooth marzipan top with a delicious raspberry filling and a fluffy, light vanilla cake. I’m not a cake person, but this was top notch. When I ordered a cake for my birthday this year, they didn’t have many sizes available and the marzipan wasn’t as thick as it used to be. They wrote on the cake and it was sloppy and in no way aesthetically pleasing. The man confirmed that the filling was raspberry, but after paying for the quite expensive, large cake, it turned out to be lemon. It wasn’t terrible, but I don’t like lemon and it wasn’t what I paid for. He was friendly enough, but that doesn’t make up for the disappointing cake.

I came here on Friday and got a box of cookies and I told the lady that I would be back on Monday around the same time after work(5ish) and she said that they would have more batches by then. Now its Monday and I’m sitting in front of a closed shop. They don’t have business hours posted either. I give them 1 for their poor customer service. She could have told me they would be closed Monday!!!

I tried their Napoleon when i went to get my hair cut next door. The custard was NOT yummy. But they had little traditional twisty flake pastries that were amazing… i think they are called papionelle.

We got the cake for our engagement party from here. It was so good, there was none left! Not even one piece! Everybody at the party was raving about it!

Have to agree with the previous post. The service here is horrible. SORRY for going inside and spending my money. The lady was slow to respond when I was pointing at the cookies I wanted and just slow to move in general. And, what’s with the long face? She really hates serving cookies and making money. OK, I get it, you don’t want any business. Message received loud and clear.

I went especially for the baklava last weekend. I think my boyfriend sums it up when he says«nothing is good about them.» The baklava is without a doubt NOT the best I’ve had. It’s really no where near good. There is too much spicy clove and not enough nuts and sweet gooey syrup. Maybe it’s just the Middle Eastern way of making baklava I don’t like? If that’s the case Turkish is better in my opinion. Also, tried 3 different cookies – very bland. However, the over all point of not giving more than 1 star is the service. Come on what would it hurt to greet your customer with a simple«hello?» Is a smile too much to ask for? They are not friendly. In fact, they act bothered that they have to help you in THEIR bakery. I didn’t know anything about the cookies so, I asked what a few were(they had fillings) and she was so annoyed with me. It’s a VERY awkward, uncomfortable feeling that I don’t recommend putting yourself in. Especially, for people who DON’T appreciate your business. They need to label their cookies so you know what you’ll be eating and make it self serve if they hate dealing with customers so much.

Love this place and been there more than once! It is far from where I live but its worth the drive! Variety, well-priced. Best of all, their stuff is never too sweet. So you can eat more!

i’d give this place 3.5 stars… granted, I’ve never actually stepped foot inside this bakery, but my bf has brought me the tirimisu twice from this place and it’s never failed. he says that it’s a bit out of the way, but that’s ok. the tiramisu is always well balanced and has never been overly sweet. you can have it with a good cup of coffee or tea and it compliments it perfectly. i wouldn’t mind trying other stuff from this place.
