10÷16÷14: Appears to be one of the trucks hopping on the Korean taco bandwagon. My first order from here was pretty good! Around here their biggest competitor is MoGo BBQ, which serves kinda the same stuff. So, how do they compare? 1. Korean BBQ Steak Burrito(Today’s Special) $ 9: I’ve ordered this from MoGo a few times and loved it. Bulkalbi’s is less trendified, using more traditional preparations. The kalbi is the more classic BBQ style, instead of being heavily sauced like MoGo’s. It’s also higher quality meat than MoGo’s, thicker and more flavorful. The rice that was inside was also some kind of fried rice with a bbq’ish taste. Both have salad inside. I think the main distinction though is that this truck did not really have any sauce in the burrito, so it’s basically a Korean lunch plate folded up in a tortilla. The MoGo version however has 2 sauces all over, and really good sauces at that – it really makes the dish. This burrito appears to be bigger than MoGo’s. About the same price. I would add that there’s a lot of rice inside – too much for me. Maybe reduce the rice and add some moisture with salsa and cheese, or something like that. So, I think despite having clearly better meat, this burrito just isn’t as awesome tasting as MoGo’s, but I’m still happy with it as a filling lunch. Good, not great. 6.5÷10. One thing to note: they do have sauces that you can help yourself to, one spicy mayo and one hot sauce. Both are runny, with the hot sauce being thicker than the mayo. Not really good for eating burritos, since they just run into the mixture like water. But still… it’s there. I can’t wait to try more next time they come! 4⁄5. #truck #kalbi #korean #burrito #kbbq
