The carnitas are very good to make tacos which I love but I hate that now you have to pay for salsas because they are not included with the meal now they want to make business with the salsas too I mean come on that’s why people come to eat here and not make food, so now if you don’t want to pay for salsas you have to make your own !!

The carnitas are BOMB but the servise is the worts whats the point of coming if your not getting a good meal the pregnant girl is so rude shes eating infront of the cash register and had a big line waiting and she eating infront of costumers and we talked to her and she talked to us with her mouth full of food i dont want to see her chewd food eww second shes so rude if you want to enjoy your carnitas wich are BOMB take to go better off eating at home

Was recommended this place from a coworker– after dropping by and taking a few lbs of carnitas and a huge burrito to go… All I have to say is wow ! Bomb ass carnitas & a huge burrito ! If you want carnitas and carnitas only come here, small humble little place but don’t judge a book. Recommend this place

The group that came in after I got served before us. Menus and James Exedra they took a while to take her order it was a little bit busy but not enough to be that lagged my boyfriend and my daughter ordered some food and their food came out and it was cold not only cold but it was wrong it wasn’t the right order my food was a little undercooked the service was kind of crappy felt very rushed felt like almost like I was being treated with racism because I’m white I don’t know if it was just a bad day or what but I know before my boyfriend was hella ranting about this place thing but it had a really amazing food so our expectations were pretty much ruined never coming here again

This is one of the best places to get carnitas other then in Gilroy. I like to order by the pound, the mix platter comes with everything! Carnitas, buche, cueritos and costillitas! it’s heaven. Just be care full when ordering the mix platter, they put pork broth just to fill it up to the pound, but the buche aka cheek meat is my fav! here it’s done right! They know what they are doing, trust me it’s hard to get buche this good!!!

Customer service is horrible. Employees think because they are getting known and have clientele that they can speak to customers with rude and short answers but it’s only going to make us walk away from buying food here. Every time I try to place an order over the phone for big quantities they say to just come in. The point is having the food ready for pick up not to sit around and wait like I did the first time for over an hour. I guess I’ll just continue to take my drive to gilroy to avoid rudeness.

Cuero! Go have some. That’s pig skin that’s been seasoned and cooked until tender like soft tendons you find in phở, and so flavorful! They put cuero in the carnitas tacos but I recommend straight cuero tacos. Only three stars since the carnitas and barbacoa tacos were seriously bland. Carnitas didn’t have any crispy parts either. Disclaimer: this is my only experience eating cuero.

I needed to organize a low budget company party on short notice and Rafael came through with great food, great service and great prices! I had about 45 people to serve at 1 pm on a week day. The Taquero came an hour earlier to set up his grill and place side dishes and supplies on the tables. He had three kinds of meat to grill, rice, beans, chips, salsa and also brought canned sodas, water and paper plates, napkins etc. I don’t remember his name but he was very nice, too! There was so much food that he left us with a full tray of cooked meat, some rice, beans, chips and salsa too! I really wanted to share this San Jose gem with my friends and fellow Unilocalers and also so I don’t forget to call them next time I have a party.

I have passed this place countless times… its not far from downtown SJ where I work. to be honest its in the hood, not in a very good part of town. its in the same small business strip as a liquor store and laundromat. The place is very non-descript. and the interior is very out dated. I finally went there today, and I loved it so much I was compelled to write this review. The Carnitas were so very good!!! juicy, meaty, not oily at all. seasoned so that you could taste the natural flavor of pork. I ordered 3 tacos, and they loaded them with meat. They do not skimp. There is an area where you can add your choice of salsa’s, onion, cilantro, and lime. They sell tacos, burritios, and plates. They also sell their cooked meats by the pound. Its a total mom and pop place… it seemed that it was family that was running the front and back. English is the second language here, so brush up on your ordering skills in Spanish. Highly recommend!

Tell me why it took 20 minutes to make a basic burrito. When I am the ONLY customer. Never coming back to this place. They had 5 people working and no one took my order at the counter until I asked. Usually, I would but I was getting my car smoged next door so I was stranding. Avoid this place, I’m not sure how they have such great reviews.

I was being a typical procrastinator and since it was my FIRST time ordering taquero services I made the horrible mistake of assuming every taquero was just waiting around for me to call them and book. I was desperate calling around EVERY one on Unilocal on a Sunday for a party on Saturday. I literally wanted to kill myself cause everywhere was either charging super snaps or was super booked. Called Carnitas El Rincon and couldn’t believe my ears, the price and the service that came with it. Guy showed up on time on a really hot day! Had everything ready to go and kept everything packed the whole time. It was really hot so we tipped him with change and beer :) The food was delicious and he let us keep all the left over food! The price was extremely reasonable for all the food we got for 50 people. It’s always nice too to not have to worry about feeding or bbqing on a hot summer day. I was really glad I found them and that they were willing to work on such short notice. Rafael was the bomb! I feel bad cause I kinda forgot our Taquero’s name but he was super cool, respectful and accommodating. 5 stars for boss like service would totally use them again! you should totally use them tooooo!!! We got chicken(my cousin said it was the BEST) I liked the Carnitas(my cousin said they were a little salty — same cousin as above — please note that she is also knocked up right now) Carne Asada — I heard no bad things about it… my girls gobbled it up BUT it was the only meat that was left over sooooooooooooooo idk…

I never been in a place like this!!! The building its not the best it self But since im rating the food Man im from muchoacan near zinapecuaro i have experiance the real and autentic zinapecuaro flavor full(carnitas) You will never go wrong about this particular place realy realy realy The best i ever had

Carnitas is not something that I buy frequently mainly because I do not eat a lot of pork BUT thse carnitas are good. It is easy to miss this place because it is in between two other businesses. I bought 1 lb of carnitas and took them to go. I made my own tortillas at home and used my own salsa and everything turned out great. The pork has a great flavor and the meat not dry at all. For about $ 7.00 per lb, you can’t complain. I will definately be back if my carnitas craving strikes.

Just needed a local place that sold carnitas by the lb for a taco night I was having with friends and Carnitas El Rincon delivered. Unfortunately they didn’t have any carne asada but they had a couple other types of meat which looks too adventurous for my taste for a first timer. Next time I’ll try some cuero and get a burrito or taco.

Didnt expect much when i walked in here for a burritto while my car was getting smogged next door. Damn, Am I glad I did walk in. For $ 5.25 the super burritto was amazing. At least half an avacado, Just enough medium salso to get some heat, but still be edible. The Tortilla was pefectly grilled and warm. Damn good deal. Highly recommend!

This place rocks it with the carne. Carnitas, buche, barbacoa, chicharron, cuero… all sold by the pound. Got a good cross section of all the above and was a week of awesome eats. While I was there, the guy asks me if I want some salsa and as I nod he gives me a container. I load up on the red stuff and find a lid. As Im pushing the lid into place I completely smash the thing into the counter. The old matriarch of the joint looks at me and laughs… Matriarch — «Mas Fuerte!» Me — «Mas Gordo!» We both chuckle as I leave with my carnivorous score…
