Free food! It was good this year. but something you should keep in mind. where great shoes… especially if you’re going with a certain anyone who happens to be really hungry and likes to eat and feels that she’s in a race to catch a bite from them all like a Hangry pokemaster… psyyaiyaiyaiyaiyai duck… the duck I tasted was really good too ;D

Had a great time 2011 session, But unfortunately the best restaurants allow smoking in the outside dining area! That really sucked! And the guy smoking the cigar across from us, What a jerk! I occasionally like a cigar but I would not dare smoke it and try to piss people off! I hate that we all have to share your cigarette smoke while I am eating, Cant wait until the day comes when you have to suck it up in the car or at home only! I want to eat my fine food and smell it, Not you! Second hand smoke kills!

Dine Downtown San Jose City Bites Sampler Day! This was the best way to try a little something from restaurants that participated in the sampling event. Here are the restaurants that participated and what and where I tried the samplings: * 71 Saint Peter Restaurant Mediterranean Grill— * Agenda Restaurant– PULLEDPORKSLIDERS– decent could be better. * Arcadia Modern American Steakhouse in the San Jose Marriott— * Azucar– TAQITO, GUACAMOLEANDCHIPS, QUASADILLA– very generous and very tasty, the taquito, or I think it was, was ok, bland side. The chips and guacamole were tasty. * Bella Mia– BRUSHETTA– simple slice of bread, melted cheese and a slice of tomato and basil– simple. * Emile’s— * Fahrenheit Restaurant & Lounge— * The Grill on the Alley— * Gumbo Jumbo— * Hanuman Thai Cuisine— * Hawgs Seafood Bar– CLAMCHOWDER– generous portion of tasting and was very tasty. * Loft Bar and Bistro– CHINESECHICKENSALAD– very simple, kinda bland. * Mezcal Restaurant-CHEESE BREAD– simple cheese bite bread, other offerings were for sale. * Morocco’s Restaurant— * Mosaic Restaurant & Lounge– SWEET&SPICYSHRIMP– taste like the sweet chili sauce you get to dip with egg rolls but with a little more kick to it. * the Mmoon– they didn’t have any offerings, but had people give out flyers, buy one get one free when they open. * Muchos!— * P.F. Chang’s China Bistro-CHANG’S CHICKENWRAPS– very tasty and very generous, even had small water bottles for offer without charge. or I don’t think it was for charge like everywhere else. * Pagoda Restaurant at the Fairmont San Jose– HONEYWALNUTSHRIMP– Yes, I was shock to see this offering and yes, it was good. They also have a dinner and movie for two $ 50 offer going on. * Phở 69 Noodle– RICE(EITHERJASMINEORCHERRYBLOSSOM, NOTSURE) WITHCHICKENANDEGGROLL– rice and chicken were pretty good, didn’t remind me of Vietnamese food though and the egg roll was pretty tasty, restaurant is aiming to open up in July. * Sonoma Chicken— * Silk Road Bistro-CHICKEN CURRY&NAAN– tasty, always saw this place and wanted to try it. * House of Siam– CHICKENANDCURRYSAUCE– nothing special tasting here. * The Blue Chip– PHILLYCHEESESTEAK– wasn’t as bad as I thought it was be. * Billy Berk’s– PIZZA&FRIEDZUCCHINI– the pizza was actually pretty tasty and the fried zucchini was ok, somewhat bland. — are for those with lines too long by the time we made our way over there to wait, too full, or didn’t even have food out. Overall, this was a great way to check out local downtown restaurants and what they had to offer. City bites is to promote their restaurant week with the fixe menu offerings. See you next year.
