To those who say that this place is underrated, I agree. Coffee Lovers offers very delicious sandwiches. On top of that, there’s a drive-​thru! How amazing is that? A drive-​thru vietnamese coffee shop w/​delicious sandwiches! The best thing to get here is the Vietnamese sandwich, an avocado shake, Mocha Bianca and of course, vietnamese iced coffee (ca phe sua da). The actual baguette that Coffee Lovers uses and makes is very different from other bakeries and sandwich shops. The texture of the bread is more soft and dense. The bread is one of the reasons why the Vietnamese sandwich is so good! The Vietnamese sandwich is lightly toasted with flavorful pork fillings, making every bite perfect with the right amount of crunch and flavor. Their avocado smoothies are smooth and creamy, it’s honestly one of the best avocado smoothies i’ve had! Don’t underestimate this place and how old it is!

Came here again today! Yet are starting to renovate and the place is pretty busy. Yet service is on point! Order taken right away and drinks and food brought out right away also. The girl taking our order was very sweet and knowledgable. Great place to hang out, do homework (a little loud during peak times), watch sports/​news, or just get food to go. Drive through window is awesome also. Love all the fruit smoothies, avocado shake, and their expression shakes are amazing too.
Update: ordered the chicken avocado sandwich… soooo good. You must try! Also place is being renovated and looks much nicer!

This used to be our go to spot whenever we hang out with our friends. The past few times that we were there it has been disappointing. Not only did they raise the prices, the quality of the drinks went down the drain. My all time favorite «chai latte» no longer tastes the same :(
Also, they took away the game machine! No more photo hunt with our high score on it .
Ps: this place has too many smokers. 2nd hand smoke finds its way inside the seating area… Ughhhh

I got nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, body aches, and chills a couple of hours after eating their «fresh spring rolls.» I know it was the rolls because I had my usual cereal in the morning and decided to pick up some rolls for lunch. Bad idea. Never have I felt so horrible in my life. I needed to go to Urgent Care because I was so sick. Doctor diagnosed me with possible food poisoning.

I’m giving this place a five star because the Vietnamese sandwich with only steam pork is really good. Also, the buns have the perfect toast to them. I also ordered a mango passion smoothie and an avocado smoothie and it came with real mangos and avocados, No powder! Their both really delicious!

A decent bakery or coffee shop to have a quick snack at. I personally do not love this place, but the people who I went with liked it. I had a mango smoothie with boba and the first thing that concerned me was where was the boba? They had put only about 10 pieces in there for a huge cup. The hot chocolate and coffee were extremely sweet, but if you are a sweet tooth, then is maybe possible to endure. The staff was a little unprofessional, chewing gum while they take your order and not keeping a positive mood.

I think people don’t appreciate Coffee Lovers enough, because they don’t recognize the little things that make it wonderful, especially for students:
1. Free GOOD wifi
2. Lots of seating space
3. Decent coffee (no refills though)
4. Outlets available (not many but there are 3 – 4 spots with outlet access)
The food isn’t gourmet, but you wouldn’t really come here for that anyway. Come here for internet connection, lots of tables, and some good coffee.

Such a nasty place to have food. The only thing I can try is Chicken avocado Sandwich.
This place is huge and nothing good to talk about. I have been to this place over 3 times, it was always empty tables. It just feels like you walked into a dark valley.
Serving girls are polite. 2 stars just for the good service.
*People outside smoking all the time* Not a place to hang out with your date: P

Love that there is a drive through and it’s open til midnight. AND they take card for a Vietnamese spot. Avocado smoothie, chicken Caesar salad & the spicy beef noodle are all great and the portions are pretty big too.

Coffee Lovers is a Vietnamese spacious, ghetto coffee shop with only street facing windows, where you can gamble and smoke freely indoors. It appears to be a watering hole for older Vietnamese people in SJ. I was surprised at how big this place was when I visited — they even have a drive through!
Pretty turned off by the vibe — the place so filled with smoke that I didn’t even bother ordering a drink.

Coffee Lovers isn’t just coffee. u can drive thru and get boba drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, not banh mi, and the hard core coffee.
huge place, inside and out. inside watching sports, outside watching gals/​guys.
offerings a complete surprise so passed. tummy doesn’t like surprises lately. it was programed for a sit down meal, not a sammie.
brew: vietnamese coffee (2.75)
–strong, bold, on the edge, almost harsh
cup couldn’t handle it, was visibly crumbling, switched coffee over to day old cup.

Get the Vietnamese Coffee Blended. It is so delicious! I am not even exaggerating. I normally go to Starbucks but I always stop by this place on a weekend morning whenever I am in San Jose with my boyfriend. This place has an outdoor patio where you can smoke and drink coffee either by yourself or with some friends. If you don’t like the smell of fumes, there are plenty of seatings inside the coffee shop. And no, this is not one of those coffee shops where girls serve you in their teeny bikini. This is a family owned coffee shop and is rated G!

Passing by this place for years I thought it was a sketchy coffee shop. But finally going in, it’s actually not sketchy at all. I also did not know there was a drive thru window because it just doesn’t look like the type of place you think would have a drive thru. I definitely prefer using it than going in, so this place is cool if you want a quick lunch but don’t want fast food! They serve super strong Vietnamese coffee, other drinks, and various sandwiches, my favorite being the chicken avocado!

Yummy!
I love my coffee strong and that’s what I received. I got the Mocha Bianca Shake ($ 5.25 w/​no pearls) and it was delicious! I went through the drive through and was served pretty fast. I wish I would’ve taken a picture but I drank the entire drink on my way home, lol.

+ close proximity to my in-​laws house
+ fast & efficient service
+ plenty of seating, tvs
+to go window needs updating
–décor and tables are outdated and need maintenance.
–menu on one side new and other side faded and unclear
–desert window was tempting but the presentation to some lacked luster
Thai ice tea with boba was typical
+/​-​loved the Spicy beef salad; however, it’s gotten skimpier since last I Ate it
Noticed that they have a new scratchers machine and gambling is a hit there. Suggestion, would be to upgraded the restaurant and it would be ok.

Years after years, this place still remains the same: best avocado shake in San Jose. Additionally, their food is surprisingly delicious!
I’ve had the sandwiches and beef noodle salad. Both of which I often come back for. Granted that this place isn’t fancy, but they stay open until midnight. And did I mention their drive thru window?! And, and, they accept credit card. Which is pretty awesome in my book bc I have carrying cash on me.

I remember when my parents would take me hear for a Vietnamese sandwich and an avocado shake when I was a little boy and even though this place has slightly changed, I still come here every once and awhile for a Vietnamese Sandwich and an avocado shake. The place still taste great and hasn’t really changed at all.
They also have a drive through window that is slightly convenient. This place isn’t a fast food place, so when you order at the drive through, it takes kinda long because they make everything to order. The other really good thing is that it open late, so when you have the late night cravings this is the place for you too.

Pretty old school place, but with really good Coffee. I was on the way to a shindig and needed a caffeine boost. I always see this place but never stopped in. It was busy for a late afternoon, but I was able to grab a quick coffee Togo. The Borgia with a hint of orange was my drink of choice. There were a few food options and plenty of seating inside and an outdoor patio, as well. If your in a hurry, they have a drive thru window, too. The iced coffee was not too sweet, and very refreshing. If I had more time I would grab lunch and watch my Sports Teams on one of their many Flat Screen Tv’s.

It’s $ 5 for a small (but abnormally long) Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich with a combination of pork meats stuffed inside because it seemed like one type of pork meat would be too boring. It’s on the more expensive side of Vietnamese sandwiches but fortunately it comes with less bread and more substance (aka meat). No matter how long you leave it out to sit (because you didn’t have time to eat it now), the bread remains soft and comforting.
I’m trying to find a better reason to give this place a lower rating but I truly did enjoy this sandwich.
