My experience with Deborah has been nothing short of life-​changing. After a number of years of having «learning to sing» on my bucket list, I took the plunge in early 2014. I found Deborah via her numerous great Unilocal reviews.
I have found Deborah to be patient, encouraging, and a real artist with a beautiful voice.
Deborah worked with me to surprise my bride with a video of, not only pictures, but of me singing a special song for her on my wedding day. This is a memory that will last a lifetime, and I’m so appreciative of Deborah’s efforts to make this happen (and her perfect editing).
I highly recommend Deborah for students of all ages!

My daughter is 9 years old and have been taking lessons with Ms Deborah Levoy for 2 years since she was 7. My daughter has been singing at events, musical plays, parties and even the National Anthems since she was 6. Now she is singing for professional sporting events like Golden State Warriors during their playoffs, Raiders, The America’s Cup and more. At such a young age, I was worried about the health of my daughter’s voice and I notice she would strain off the high notes and using all chest voice or flips to headvoice. So I did my research and found Deborah Levoy. Some vocal teachers say they don’t teach until a certain age, but my belief is why not teach them the right way now than learn on their own the wrong way, do bad habits and damage their vocal chords. It is amazing how your voice works, I had no idea til I met Deborah. She taught my daughter how to move from chest voice to her upper register without the flips or breaks. My daughter now sings her high notes effortlessly and I’ve seen the difference, and is still learning. Ms Deborah goes in dept to teach you how your vocal chords work and gives you exercise to help train your voice to not strain and whatever you would like to work with. If you would like to work on a song for a musical play, a performance, whatever it is, she is there to help you. What my daughter also learned with Deborah is that it’s not just about singing the song but understanding and telling the story with feelings. Ms Deborah would go line by line for the meaning, your pronouciation of the word, etc. She is amazing, my daughter loves her and felt comfortable with her right off the back. She cares about her students and it shows. Even though I feel that Nayah may have learned a lot, there are so much to learn about singing. Nayah is still growing and her voice will change throughout the year so Deborah is preparing her for when that time comes. Another cool thing is that she records each session so you can take it home and practice with it. Miss Deborah is my daughter’s (who has special needs and gifted in music) teacher for almost 2 years. My daughter loves her teacher and looks forward for the class every week. Miss Deborah has brought the best out of her. We go for vocal training for high octave range. The classes are really fun. We just finished student showcase and we thoroughly enjoyed the event. Some of the students sounded like professionals. I recommend this teacher to all!!! She genuinely cares about her students !!!

Deborah is awesome! I started working with her in February and I’ve never had lessons or tried to take vocal lessons before. She was very patient with me, I told her what I would like to accomplish and she catered our lessons to the goals I earmarked.
She has a very good ear and can tell when your trying to cheet your voice into doing bad habits, which is awesome. I also am a huge fan that she makes cd copies of each lesson for me to review at home so that there is no excuses, its all on me as to how far I want to take it!

My daughter was looking for a voice teacher that would not just teach her how to sing for musical auditions but someone that would help her sing rock/​pop songs so I went on Unilocal.There I saw a wonderful review from someone who had been looking for the same thing and had experienced Deborah’s lessons with rave reviews. So I contacted her through email. She replied within 24hrs and voila! my daughter had her first lesson of many. She is all that people rave about and more! My daughter’s voice has totally changed in just 2 months of lessons. I am not the only one that notices — others have come and said «what is she doing?» «she sounds different» «what an amazing change!». She is also getting more confident in herself after each lesson and is so happy singing. I have to say that one of my favorite things about Deborah’s lessons are that she records them on a cd and my daughter brings them home and practices all week long until her next lesson. She also can go back and work exercises that she had several weeks ago. What a great tool and idea. I can’t say enough but we are very very happy with Deborah Levoy!!!

I had taken singing lessons in the past, but other teachers always wanted me to learn opera-​type songs, or show tunes. I wanted to learn songs like Joni Mitchell’s Blue, Beatles’ I Will a capella etc. I wanted to learn enough guitar to accompany my singing. Deborah was able to help me with both!
Deborah is an exceptional vocal teacher. She’s hip, patient, encouraging and fun to work with. The method that she teaches builds on everyone’s natural talent (yes people, we all can sing!). At the end of each lesson, she gives you a recording of the lesson so that you can practice at home.
Deborah is also a talented musician, songwriter and singer. Check out her cd’s or a live performance if you get the chance!

I took lessons with Deb for about 2 years and learned sooo much from our weekly sessions.
She not only helped me overcome my shyness of singing in front of people, but built confidence in me that I could sing any song I wanted to. It just took lots practice.
I mostly enjoyed our recording sessions. Deb made me feel like a superstar.
Deb is a beautiful soul and was my inspiration to start writing my own songs. I reccommend her to everyone!
