My friends and I came to this Denny’s around 12am after the movies and I have to say we have mixed feelings about our experience. Our server, Sofia, was great! She was very funny, sweet, and we enjoyed having her as our waitress. Honestly, she is the only reason why I am giving a 2-star review when it really should be a 1-star. Everyone’s food was pretty great, it looked and tasted delicious even though some of the orders were incorrect or the food was not prepared the way we wanted. Also, the wait for the food was a bit longer than expected, but it was 12am so we just brushed it off, The reason why I’m writing this review is because the host or the front desk person who seated us was extremely rude and arrogant. He would not respond to us when we needed assistance and would pretend he didn’t hear us or see our raised hands when we were literally sitting 5 feet away from him. What was worse was that when I received my dish(turkey and avocado sandwich), I took one bite and realized there was a hair in it. I noticed our waitress was busy and since the man was so close and wasn’t doing anything, I called out to him. It took me multiple attempts to get his attention and literally everyone on the table had to help me. When he came over he gave me attitude when he asked what I wanted, as if I was bothering him. I told him that there was a hair in my sandwich and asked if I can have another one. He replied again in a rude tone and thought I was crazy for wanting another sandwich. I had to show him the hair that was sticking out and instead of apologizing, he just snatched the dish out of my hand and then started to yell at the cooks. After that incident he continued to give me dirty looks and glares from across the restaurant as if I had done something wrong. I didn’t even complain I just asked for a new sandwich. He didn’t even bother giving me a discount or anything. Instead he gave me a hard time with the bill when I asked to see the entire bill and total. He basically said the total doesn’t show and that he didn’t know where the original receipt was and there wasn’t any computer records. Straight lied to my face because he was trying to get rid of us or over charge us for the bill. Terrible service! Absolutely horrible.

So, it’s 9:56 pm here at Denny’s. My fiancé and I waited around 15 minutes to be seated. Then waited another 10 minutes waiting to be served. Finally miss Sophia comes and asks if we were ready. After that long of a wait, we should be ready right? Ordered 2 cheesy fries and dish of fish and chips and was offered ranch on the side. We waited 15 minutes which is not too bad, considering my fiancé and I know how to keep ourselves busy. Cheesy fries was great and so were the fish and chips. So overall it was a decent trip here. Nothing to complain about and not an experience to feel extravagant.

Service was ok. Our server was very friendly and helpful but our food was disgusting! I only ate it because I was starving and had to go to work so I was pressed on time. I never have liked the food from Denny’s but decided maybe after a few years they would improve but I was wrong wrong wrong, this is the lowest quality food you can get. I got nachos that were so gross and pancakes that tasted like it was made of water. The sausage was super soggy it had no crunch to it like a freshly cooked sausage should have. I will never eat at a Denny’s again.

Got service quick, great food and prices. Our server was great. The milkshake came with the silver tin too. People complaining on here must just be super picky, you come to the core of essj you get what you get.

My Double Cheeseburger was excellent. This location makes me take back every bad thing I sad about Denny’s. And our waitress was the best too. Thanks Chef/Cook for the Medium Well Hamburger. I appreciate it!

This restaurant has horrible service. Waited to be seated for more then 10 minutes even though it was no where near busy. The food was cooked in grease. It dripped from my burger and my husband santa fe skillet was in a puddle of it. They never came back to offer more water or anything. We will never come back. Horrible horrible horrible.

Jose, my server, was a fucking dick. He didn’t give us good customer service, I understand it’s 1AM but damn. He tried to sneak in some few extra charges and at the end of the meal wanted to take a 10 as his tip even though he obviously didn’t deserve it. Then proceeded to call me rude and started slamming the cash register. I’d tip the chef if anything but the food wasn’t that good tonight.

This is actually for the Denny’s at 1001 E Capitol in San Jose, but it doesn’t look like that location has a Unilocal at this time. We called to order food to go and the employee on the phone was super slow, did not know how to input our order in the system, and it took four times repeating the same thing for him to get that I wanted«Country Fried Steak and Eggs» and not«Bacon and Eggs.» My brother went to pick up the food and when it arrived, I noticed the portions seemed to be really small. There were hardly any fries with one of the meals and there weren’t much nachos and the topping was only on some of the chips. I don’t know if they cut down the portions in-store too or if they ripped us off. Also, they forgot the garlic bread that comes with one of the meals. The gravy that was meant to be on the meat was actually all over every other part of the meal as well. The nachos I ordered weren’t well-made. Two stars because the potatoes and fried steak were good. The rest of the food wasn’t that great.

My boyfriend and I went to this Dennys for dinner. They took our order and we were waiting for OVER30 minutes for our food *Which it was just sitting in tje counter while our waitress Erika completely forgot about us. They were serving other people who came after us. Very bad service.

Worse service ever!!! Our waiter kept forgetting things from our order and he got ours orders wrong and questioned us when we told him it was incorrect. It wasn’t even that busy. He even forgot some of our drinks. He needs to get people skills because no apologies for messing up our orders.

This is the last time I will ever try to eat at this Denny’s after waiting at least 15 minutes to be seated. We were finally seated no one ever served us. We had been waiting at least another 10 minutes people who were seated after us were waited on before us. They had drinks but not us. I think we weren’t Mexican enough for them. I’m Hispanic and Filipino my husband is occasion and our son is mixed. Talk about racism. I think all the waiters and waitresses were like oh crap we have to speak English to those people so no one came to wait on us.

Extremely busy. The waiter and staff are hard working and trying to be fast especially at this lunch hour. If you come between 10 – 2 you will have a long wait. I even see rhe manager out bussing tables… awesome. I hope they tip the bussers and dish washers. I used to all the time when I worked at Dennys.

We don’t do Dennys to often but I must say this was far the worst. Our server Cristina never stopped to ask if you needed anything. My husband had to stop her to ask her to bring us Napkins… come on napkins should be the first thing on the table. Even asked a manager for sugar… well he never came back… well guess what neither will we!

This place is nasty. Marco was our server he was ok. The food came and as I was eating I seen a piece of curly hair /pubic hair. Ruined my morning breakfast. All they could say was we can make another one. And manager apologize — how can they just apologize — I am not coming back here — I asked them not to charge me for it. Nasty. I am reporting them to the county.

Ugghhh… as much as I try to avoid this place, sometimes it’s not an option for a late night dinner given that it’s only a few blocks from home. But I will say that I do try my best to like it here, because my kids love Denny’s period. Anyhow we came here for a late dine in tonight, but decided to take it to go instead. We order a side of avocado an fried shrimps with our meals and they forgot the avocado and burnt the fried shrimp. It’s definitely not golden brown! Disappointed! Below is last year’s review I posted from 2014. Unfortunately, this is the closest Denny’s to my house, and the kids always wants Denny’s pancakes. It’s a kid thing. But this place has the WORST customer service EVER! We use to come in, and no one would even acknowledge us waiting. Sometimes took 15 – 30 mins to be seated even on a slow night. They’ve gotten better since the new restaurant renovation, but service is still SLOW!!! And they don’t seem to care! They really deserve no stars!!!

I decided to use the restroom while my friend was smoking outside. I came out to find her already seated and ready to order. She told me the waiter fended a bunch of customers who were leaving Denny’s and bothering her. She found that as the sweetest thing and then the waiter who helped her and also serving us. As always I get the French Toast Breakfast for $ 6 and my friend gets her usual Moons over my hammy. Service was very good and everything turned out great. My friend was very pleased that she tipped him about 60 percent.

It’s Denny’s. What was I expecting? How stingy can a restaurant chain be? My boyfriend and I ordered the sample plate where you order two appetizers. We decided on cheese sticks and chicken strips. Please tell me why they came back and gave us 1 tiny chicken strip a piece and 4 cheese sticks to divide which weren’t even cooked all the way through! Me and Denny’s have a love-hate relationship but as of lately it’s been hate. Any Denny’s I go to, and I’ve been to Denny’s all around this state, they’re all consistently stingy and I don’t know why! Ended up also ordering pancake balls or whatever and the waitress forgot the syrup. We had to flag her down. In her defense, it was Friday night in San Jose and you know what that means: a bunch of hookers and their pimps come through. Oops, I mean club goers. Somehow I still believe that I’ll be back in here one day soon. Ugh! Why can’t I stay away?!

My chocolate shake craving was satisfied. … Although, when did they stop giving us the metal cup with the extra shakes? I didn’t get one. Did they stop? Cinnamon pancakes — New item! served with a think cinnamon syrup and cream cheese drizzle. My recommendation, if you don’t like it dry, ask for syrup, because it won’t come with it! The meal also comes with a side of sausage or bacon, eggs and hash browns. the pancake meal it self was large, I didn’t even finish half of it. $ 7.49 Our waitress was attentive, checked up on us enough that we were never wanting for nothing. … Everything was good until it came time to pay. The manager(Jose) and the cashier(Arturo) didn’t want to ring us up… they were griping in Spanish about what not to do and what to do for tip and payment and how to do it and in which order… prioritizing the willing to pay customer, that wants to pay NOW, from paying– and making plans for a table, that just sat down, on what to do when it’s time to pay… Then Arturo walks away having the manager yell for him to home back. Gracias… for not wanting us to pay… pretty sure we could’ve walked out without them realizing it.
