Excellent customer service by the front cashier. Still smiling despite the rush order hours. And the salt and pepper spareribs — the bomb!

this place was greatly needed in Evergreen. Quick, decently priced, authentic Chinese food. Order here constantly.

I decided to give this place a try due to people giving this place 4 – 5 stars rating. I went for lunch paid 5.99 plus tax for rice and chow main, and sweet and sour pork big portions. I thought the food would be great but the food was okay. I didn’t like the batter of the sweet and sour pork. The rice and the chow main were okay. Most likely I won’t be coming again.

Are u guys serious. Rule of thumb if the fried rice is Wack at A Chinese restaurant more then likely the food is Wack. And this place food taste like blah. Missing msg or what. Customer service is Wack. Everything taste like. I give the old ko sing better reviews on their food. Don’t see this place lasting very long. Hope they get rid of this place. Wack Wack Wack. And if u think the food is good your Wack. F*** outta here panda sh*t. And Unilocal is making me put 2 stars just to get this posted. What’s up with that?!

Best Chinese food in the area. Everything in their menu is delicious. I would recommend everything but my two favorite dishes are the honey walnut shrimp and their salt and pepper spare ribs. So flavorful and crispy! The prices are reasonable and they give you huge portions. So be prepared to have leftovers. You won’t be disappointed :)

The ONLY bad thing about this place is they are not open 24hrs. This place has the best Mongolian beef ever and the best bbq pork fried rice! And everything is really good.

Finding quality Chinese food in San Jose is so difficult. Then I discovered Evergreen Panda! This is my GO-TO place when I am craving Chinese. My husband and I won’t order Chinese food from any other place but here. For a family of 4, we order chicken fried rice, veggie chow mein, mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, and walnut shrimp(the family favorite). It is almost impossible to not over eat with Evergreen Panda. They give super large portions and we ALWAYS have leftovers. Talk about getting a bang for your buck! I give this place a perfect 5 star rating because the quality of the food, the overloaded portions, and the fair price!

Ambiance Parking: Plaza parking in not much a crowded area so you shouldn’t have any problem. Seating: * Quite a spacious place. t cn seat about 20 people in group chairs. Feels: * Nothing to extravagent just your simple grab and go. If you have the sudden munchies or need to prepare for a large party, this is your place. Food: Fried Pepper Chicken Wings(Recommended) Crispy and savory with a good peppery kick. Fried Calamari(Recommended) Flavorful and well seasoned. I can see how for some people it can be a tad salty however for me it quite delicious. Customer Service: Quick and simple. Overall: 4 stars. I appreciate this place because of their timeliness, price, and the taste. Not exactly the healthiest or unique option but a great place if you’re in need of a quick bite or need semi-large catering order. TL;DR Tips: * Great place for authentic and quick Chinese food!

I love this place. Very spacious and clean. Literally this is quantity AND quality. I usually get a combo plate & the salt and pepper calamari. The portions are huge for a price you can’t really beat. They make the food after you order it, so you never have to question when it was made. If you really can’t wait for about ten minute for your food, definitely call ahead of time for your order. This place is really similar to Jade China(locations in Berryessa & Monterey), & after talking to a friend who is a family friend of the owners, I found out that they’re related!

I came here, because I wanted Chinese fast food, but didn’t want to go to Panda Express or drive to Sunnyvale to my favorite spot. I wouldn’t call this place a «fast food» because 1: the food isn’t displayed under a heat lamp and 2: they make the food to order. The food was super good and you can’t complain on the price also, actually I wouldn’t complained if it was a few bucks higher. I paid 8 something for 3 combo plate, but I got the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. I will definitely come back and will also try some of their eggrolls and their wonton soup.

You can get a 3 item combo for $ 6 here and they literally pile so much food into the box, which is so worth! The portions are much bigger than what they serve at Panda Express. They also have a larger selection of Chinese food. The food was decent! I honestly don’t expect much from cheap, fast food Chinese restaurants. My friend got the 3 item combo with chow mein, kung pao chicken, and rice. I liked how the chow mein noodles were thick rather than thin like ones from other Chinese restaurants. The kung pao chicken was flavorful. My other friend and I shared the salt and pepper calamari which was good and crispy. We asked for chili sauce because it needed some sort of dipping sauce and it went well with it. Only downside was that it took a long time for them to bring out the food and the place was literally empty.

I prefer this spot over panda express, and again prefer their house fried rice, honey walnut prawns and most of all kung pao chicken. My mom and boyfriend are huge fans of the salt and pepper wings, since we’ve been customer’s here I have noticed the wing size has diminished but when you crave em and don’t have time to make them yourself, get them here! Affordable prices on just about everything. The orange chicken would be more desirable(not nugget form like panda, but kind of like a small strip) if it contained more meat instead of breading, still has a good flavor. It’s modest fast food!

I’m a fan of cheap, Americanized Chinese food as much as I am a fan of authentic, Chinese-style Chinese food. Evergreen Panda is a reasonably priced institution with reasonable fast service and a good variety of options. They also are basically open all day. The cashier is friendly, but sometimes you have to call for him from the back because he’s chatting with the cooks or whoever. Dish reviews: Mushu: excellent! Good balance of flavor. Mongolian Beef: excellent! Just a little spicy, but lots of yummy onions and a tasty sauce. Just don’t eat the dried chilis in there. Orange Chicken: cut into long strips, battered and friend(kind of unusual). The batter and sauce are good, but the chicken was dry. Chow Mein: noodles were just a tiny bit overcooked for my taste and the flavor was bland until soy sauce was added. Not much chicken. But it was okay once I put some soy sauce on it. Huge portions! Enough for two meals for one person easily… unless you somehow manage to end up eating it all in one night like I did one time.

SALTANDPEPPERCHICKENWANGS. I’ve had other things here, but the salt and pepper chicken wings stand out the most. I order them for every party. And even when its just a party of one. lol

Coming from San Francisco, I’ve had my fair share of cheap, great quality Chinese food. I’ve been craving cheap, oily Chinese food and found Evergreen Panda. It is pretty out of the way for me, but cravings are real. I came here after work and decided to get the 3 combination and chose Chicken Chow mein, fried chicken wings, and kung pao chicken. I didn’t really expect much from this place because it was so cheap, but the fried chicken was just battered and fried. It wasn’t the salt pepper chicken wings that are at most Chinese places. It also had NO flavor. The kung pao chicken was okay, typical sauce and chili, and the chow mein had no flavor either. I don’t think I’ll be coming back because it is so out of the way and there is no flavor in those three dishes I ordered.

Very good and very fast. This place is pretty awesome as far as the food and speed are concerned. I tried, for the first time, salt and pepper pork spare ribs here and it was pretty impressive. Their salt and pepper anything is better than most Chinese places as they actually put some meat inside the batter shell. I have had some more expensive Chinese places not put anything in the batter and serve it to me. I call ahead and put my order in on the phone and the time it takes me to drive over there my food is ready. Which is crazy nice for a weekday when I have zero energy to make something for dinner after work. Plus, they give you so much food for your money that I always have enough left over to take to lunch with me the next day. The people who work there seem like they are all related somehow which gives it a very good family run environment in there. They are super courteous on the phone and in person, even when they have aline out the door, which is often. They only lose one star because eating there kinda sucks. The place is super echo-y and there are very minimal amount of tables. and no matter which table you sit at you are sitting next to the line that goes to the counter. But I pretty much always take my food to go so I do not have to deal with this issues. All in all I recommend this place for all your Chinese food wants and dreams.

This is a great neighborhood Chinese fast food place owned by cantonese people. If you’re craving fresh Americanized Chinese food than this is the place to go. They give huge portions and everything is cooked fresh when you order it. We ordered the chicken chow mein and I could’ve sworn that thing was 5lbs. lol… Walnut Prawns was really well made & tasty with light batter & sauce. Not like some other places where it’s just a blob of mayo on top. Peking spareribs was good too except I don’t think it was the actual ribs part since there wasn’t any bones. Looks like they also do catering which is great because we have a party coming up.

I didn’t know much about Evergreen Panda before I walked in. Based on the name, I thought their set up would be like Panda Express. Everything would be laid out and I just point to what I wanted. Figured it would be easy when the roommate sent me there to pick up some take out. He told me just to pick what I wanted. Everything is made to order. No food sitting out in chafing dishes for who knows how long. They offer rice plates, 3 item combos and dishes a la carte. Since it was up to me, I just ordered whatever seemed good while glancing at the menu. *Mongolian beef rice plate($ 5.99): comes with one egg roll and steam rice –You can substitute Bbq fried rice or Chicken chow mein for an extra $ 0.50. *Salt & pepper spare ribs($ 7.49) –I thought these would actually be the spareribs with the bones. Not small pieces of pork battered and fried. A little heavy on the batter for me, but good flavor. Lots of garlic and peppers! *Lemon chicken($ 7.49): lemon sauce on side –I didn’t try the lemon sauce, but everyone said it was too sweet. The chicken had a katsu like breading and was nicely fried. *3 items combination($ 5.79): Fried chicken wings, Chicken chow mein, BBQ pork fried rice –I love having noodles & fried rice with every at home chinese meal, but it can be hard finishing it all. Figured this was a good way to sample both. I liked the fried rice. The bbq pork gave it a nice savory flavor. The chow mein tasted a little bland to me. Adding hot sauce helped. The chicken wings were way too battered for me. My first bite was mostly batter with just a little meat. *Mongolian beef($ 7.49) –The roommate’s brother got the rice plate, so I figured I’d order a mongolian beef for us to try. A little sweeter than I prefer, but this was stir fried nicely. A good amount of meat and veggies too. *String beans pork($ 6.99) –I love string beans. This still had a nice snap to them which I love. I hate mushy string beans! The pork added a nice meaty element to it. *Wonton soup($ 5.49) –The broth was good. Lots of wontons and veggies. I actually really love napa cabbage in my soup. I’m glad they added it. Service was great. I was a little indecisive while ordering and they were very patient. They also speak Cantonese since I ordered some dishes in Chinese out of habit. Very nice place for some Chinese pick up.

Came to try out as I live nearby and was hoping for a decent substitute for my jade China which can be too far away. Tried their 3 item combo(initial price $ 5.79) Asked for half fried rice and half chow mien(extra $ 0.50). Got the sweet and sour pork and Mongolian beef(extra $ 1) So in all still cheaper than Panda Express. Also ordered their chicken salad for later($ 5.49). The place was pretty clean and pretty spacious as they didn’t bother squeezing in tables in the middle. They take credit card(visa and MasterCard) and told me there was no minimum so that’s a major plus. The food was all in all a bit.bland. The fried rice and chow mien was forgettable. I didn’t really care for the sweet and sour pork. The batter was way too much. The mongolian beef was ok… not sure if it warrants and extra $ 1 charge. I liked the chicken salad enough. I would return only because it’s quick and cheap but not because it’s outstanding.
