Five Guys Burgers and Fries

I go to this five guys once a month. I love the burgers here because it has more toppings and more meat than what in and out gives you.

Blonde Hair mixed in my daughters burger!!! And the general manager Sakda said «this happens all the time» and gave my daughter a milk shake and replaced the burger but had such a bad attitude about it! I think good customer service would have been to refund the whole order but telling us that it’s no big deal – well that makes me never want to come back to one of our favorite burger joints!!!

I recently had a bad experience at this restaurant, I usually have the best food here hands down and I choose it over other options, but when I went in my food was undercooked and my fries were as well and the portion sizes were significantly much smaller. I did what anyone would do and I left them a survey so that they might better their store and keep this from being routine, then the store manager called me to get follow up feedback and left a voicemail. When I called back I explained what the issue had been and he acted like «oh I have so many I call back I don’t remember which one you were» and made me feel extremely unimportant when in service you should care about all of your customers issues and concerns. Didn’t resolve the situation at all and just said «thanks for following up, bye.» I never knew a store could act so unprofessional, especially one I used to love and hold in high regards. I was personally let down not only by staff but management as well. I won’t be going back to this five guys and fries in the future.

Love the food here, usually have great service. But got horrible service the last time I went from a girl named Diana (I think that’s her name when I asked they were hesitant with telling me) I think she was training which is a shame that they would even put her anywhere to work with customers, especially the cash register! She was rude, kept messing up, and kept looking at me as I sat down waiting for my food! PLEASE really pay attention to who you hire, not everyone can work in customer service (: I won’t be returning as long as she is there /​same with my friends they were offended as well.

I like to order a classic plain cheeseburger with fries and coke. Their burgers are always made right when you order. The fries are always piping hot and the portion sizes are fairly huge so I get a little cheeseburger which is equivalent or even still larger than an In N Out burger :-)
***TIP*** order and pay online it will cut your wait time in half which is a plus all you will need to wait for is for your fresh fries to be made ***

Definitely a burger lover because of places like this… Their sauces are a great addition to the already properly pieced together burger itself.
My favorite is A1 sauce on the side with BBQ sauce ordered on the burger!

After pushing two tables together for our big party, we ordered at the counter then waited for our food –which took about six minutes!
I had a cheeseburger, some fries and a chocolate milkshake and both were DELICIOUS (–I highly recommend the latter if you want an old fashioned and smooth drink).
The burger was juicy but the best part was that you had a hand in designing it –you basically get to customize them! Which is awesome.
All in all, it was a great experience! The prices are also reasonable.

Five guys make a mean burger and their fries are so good and fresh, large fries are enough for 2 — 3 people and regular sized burgers have 2 patties, if you want one patty then ask for a little burger. You also can customize your burger and make it how you like it, you can even have a lettuce wrap instead of a bun if you like. Free peanuts also which are awesome Praise God.

Very tasteless burger and fries. What a disappointment.
How could you guys get both done so wrong.
First and last time I go there.

Great burger, the ingredients are always fresh. You get to add all your own toppings and sauces. They also have peanuts to snack on while waiting for your burger.

I really like how they customize your burger and I can get all the toppings I love, without the toppings I don’t. Plus, I feel the quality of their burger is better than In N Out’s burgers. I’ve been here several times with my friends from when I used to live in San Jose. It is also conveniently in a shopping center with other restaurants and dessert places.

Nice place — food is big — love the airconditioning. Old fashioned burgers cooked to order with all the fixings.
Tip: skip the frys and eat the free peanuts! My kids love them and it is just like the circus!
Love the Cajun frys too! Not too spicey.
Tip: order the little burger — the standard hamburger is 2 patties. To much food — unless you are a teenager.

I get so much hate for saying this…
But I like Five Guys waaaaaaaaay more than In N Out.
I love the fact that I can customize my burger so it’s the way I like it. Not to mention I love how they offer unlimited toppings which include grilled onions and grilled mushrooms.
Honestly, this is my favorite burger joint!

SOGGY BURGER PALOOZA
Heads up if anyone is allergic to peanuts the fries are fried in 100% peanut oil!

I love five guys. But this location is reported as open until 11 pm both here on Unilocal and the five guys website. I went here one Saturday night at 10 pm to get a burger, and one employee informed me that they were already closed after I walked through their unlocked front door and approached the counter to order. Come on guys, if you’re only open until 10 pm, don’t make me think it’s ok to drive over to the valley from Santa Cruz just to be turned away. Will be thinking twice before returning to this five guys location in the future…

Delicious! I really enjoy the burgers and French fries! Super friendly staff, fast & inexpensive food. Much better then fast food but not a gourmet burger in any means. Although ingredients are fresh and made to order.

Stopped by Five Guys Burgers for the very first time at about 3pm on October 21, in the afternoon for a late lunch…+ i wanted to see what all the «hype» was all about.
First impression? For someone who doesn’t eat out often…
Burgers here are a tad on the expensive side!
Two guys and a girl are working behind the counter that day. um. I thought it was 5 guys running a burger joint.? After all the place is called «Five Guys»…instead of 2 guys and a girl working there… Just kidding !
The girl working behind the counter who took my order could have been «a bit more friendly».and could have been more customer service oriented… especially since I explained to her that «It’s my first time here»…but no such luck.
I even got a weird look from her when I asked her «What’s the difference in size for medium and large Fries»…She just kind of gave me this annoyed look which basically says «who cares… just order already»…Um ok then !
I’m sure people get tired in the mid-​afternoon /​late afternoon at any job. but first impression’s always stay with customers since you never know who you will meet especially in the «customer service/​food» job.
The guys working with the girl who took my order were much more customer service oriented, proactive and friendly. They went out of their way to make a first time customer feel important. They explained their Burger toppings and even promoted their Cajun Fries seasoning and why it’s a «Five Guys Favorite»…
I actually appreciated that.
We ordered 2 Hamburgers, Medium Regular Fries and a drink…
Burgers were hot, fresh and decent sized. not as messy as we thought they would be. since we read previous reviews. Fries were nice and hot and totally over-​filled …It’s been a good while since I’ve had nice Fresh tasting Fries…
Will I be back? Perhaps. The food was ok…

I’m giving 5 guys 5 stars because the service was great, everyone was friendly, helpful and fast. The burger was good as well as the fries. I got the smaller cheeseburger and I could still only eat about half it was so filling!

Disappointing. I had heard so much about 5 guys…
First, if you are not used to the concept, you get 2 slices of bread and a patty for lunch… ok…that was my mistake, and everybody had a good laugh BUT… the meat didn’t taste right. It had some strong taste of old fat in it…
Fries taste great.
The service was good, very nice employees.

Best location in the South Bay.
Line moves so quickly!
Service gets an A+ from me.
If you plan on actually dining here the staff actually sweep and clean as you eat and they are SO courteous. They always ask if you need a refill for your drink (even my small cup of water). ;)
Food tip: Get the Cajun Fries with your burger order. You won’t be disappointed!
