I ABSOLUTELY adore this dessert place! Hands down the best desserts available. I’ve lived in San Diego my entire life, so I was skeptical that there would be anything as good in San Jose. After trying multiple dessert joints, this is my favorite so far. I ordered the churro ice cream sandwich and it was to die for. I would honestly say that the churro version is way better than the donut.
I had to wait 10 minutes for my churro ice cream sandwich, but I had no problems with that since I want a freshly made churro. The churro was made to order. When the staff brought out my ice cream sandwich, I was amazed. I first tried the churro without the ice cream. The churro itself was made perfectly! The churro was soft, yet crunchy. And there wasn’t too much cinnamon. It was piping hot when it came out :) the caramel ice cream was really good too. It wasn’t too sweet. The churro and ice cream complimented each other well. A great balance.
I am definitely coming back to order another churro ice cream sandwich. But I am also excited to try the various desserts they offer, such as the halo. Thank you so much for creating such a great dessert! :)

Sometimes I hate going on social media because I see drool-​worthy desserts like churro ice cream sandwiches, and I can’t have any because I live in NY where there’s no such thing as churro ice cream sammies.
I’m so happy my friend took me here when I came home during winter break to visit. I’ve frequented many Honey Berry locations before, mainly for their roti buns, but only this location has the churro ice cream sandwiches. You’d think that the churro would be all hard and cold due to the ice cream, but nope! The churro is so soft, warm, not overtly sweet, and just perfect. I got the coffee ice cream w/​almonds the first time and salted caramel the 2^nd time I went. They were both solid choices, but the coffee w/​almonds was heavenly combined with the churro. I prefer these over macaron ice cream sandwiches, and I LOVE macaron ice cream sandwiches.
This location also has the typical milk teas, roti buns, and other desserts. Both times I came here, I really wanted to get milk tea w/​boba alongside with my churro ice cream sandwich, but it just seemed like overkill lol. I’ll def try their other desserts next time I come back. :)
I’m drooling as I write this. Can you guys relocate to NYC please?

This is one of those dessert places I had to try. I got the strawberry tea with boba and churro sandwhich with vanilla ice cream. The tea was too sweet and artificial but the churro was DELICIOUS freshly made to order.

You could fill the churro with any ice cream flavor you like. It takes about a few minutes for the churro to be made, but it’s definitely worth it. When you get the sandwich, the churro is warm with cold cold ice cream. Every bite melts in your mouth. It’s the perfect dessert if you are craving something sweet, warm, and cold!

I was checking out reviews for something sweet in our neighborhood when we came across a picture of the Churro ice cream sandwich… We made a mad dash over to Honey Berry hoping for the best and it did not disappoint. The Churro sandwiches are made to order so we had to wait a few minutes but it was well worth it. It’s a cute place with cool chalkboard drawings on the walls and many sweets and drinks to choose from.

When I see Honey Berry, I think of roti buns; it’s like a staple for this chain. Little did I know that they have churro ice cream sandwiches — available at no other Honey Berry location. I have come across macaron ice cream sandwiches before, but never a CHURRO ice cream sandwich. I was slightly skeptical at first, but I was mind blown after my first bite. The churro was fresh & warm with sprinkled sugar on top. In addition, the ice cream filling was delicious complementing the churro very well. The worker was friendly at letting us try the different types of ice cream. I really enjoyed the oreo and pistachio. It’s about $ 4.95 for a sandwich, a little on the pricey side, but seriously bomb dot com. The sandwich easily fits in my hands, and stayed intact the entire time until the last few bites which might require a spoon.
I will definitely be returning in the near future. I’m actually craving for another churro ice cream sandwich right now. If you’re not into ice cream, they also serve affogato, milk tea, gelato shakes, froyo, roti buns, etc. I had their jasmine passionfruit tea, and really liked it.

Service was okay cashier wasn’t really friendly didn’t say welcome or thank you or anything really just stood there like a statue lol. But it was okay I ordered vanilla bean milk tea it was way too sweet I didn’t finish it. I like how the cups were really big though for 3.95 it’s a good price. The dessert I ordered was good though.

I’m ashamed to admit how often I came here within the past 4 months. It was nearly 2x a week and I’ve only recently toned it down to 3x a month. It’s okay — I think about going to the gym 4x a week and now I think about the gym 8x a month. That balances it out… right?!
I’m in love with the affogato here because you get to pick the flavor of ice cream. I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get the mint chocolate ice cream. The cookie crumbles inside the mint ice cream remind me of a mint version of cookies-​n-​cream ice cream. MMM.
The mangonada here is amazing. So much in such a «tiny» cup! Good mix of flavors — spicy, sweet, and tangy all at once. Good chunks of mango and they aren’t stingy with the ice cream, either!
Also, the churro ice cream with ube… mmm. The churro is surprisingly put-​together, all the way to the last bite! Crunchy and savory, but not so overpowering that you are unable to appreciate the taro-​ness of the ube.
Service is prompt some days, but most days they forget about my order. It’s okay, Honey Berry, I’m still loyal to you :).

Loved the churro ice cream sandwich. The churro came out warm. Oh god, and how every bite just melted in your mouth… Sorry. Just had a moment. I’m really impressed by the shop differentiating itself from other boba places by adding the churro ice cream sandwiches. Most shops have the snow ice, crepes, roti buns, and the big blocked toast.
I’m loving the diversity in the food they are serving. It’s smart. I’m from Berkeley, and I drove here for this shit. So yaaaaa know. Got to try that special somethang.

I came to Honey Berry just for the Churro Ice Cream sandwich, and OMG I was not disappointed! I got the sandwich with mint ice cream. You could fill your churro with any ice cream that you like.
It takes about 8 minutes for the churro to make but the wait is defiantly worth it. When you get your sandwich, the churro is so soft and warm that it melts the ice cream. Every bite that I took was like a party in my mouth everytime! So when you have a chance you should defiantly try the churro ice cream! I will come here again with all my friends.

If I wasn’t a fan before, I’m definitely a fan now!
With the new ownership, not only does the store look more fun and appealing, they have really updated their menu! Thankfully they still have their original roti buns, gelatos, and milk teas, but now they’ve added some really extravagant shaved ice flavors, churro ice cream sandwiches (dessert made in heaven), and my favorite, mangonadas!

OMG this place has transformed! I wish they had this many delicious options when I used to live down the street.
I haven’t been here since 2013 or 2014 and used to only come for the waffles with ice cream. Nothing else really stood out to me. But I was at a friends house nearby last week and we were craving ice cream. The only spot near by was Honey Berry so that’s why we went!
I was surprised how late it stayed open til (I think they used to close by 9pm everyday?) and when I walked in I was like wOw to the decorations and new menu board.
So many options to choose from!!! I didn’t want anything too complicated because it was 10 minutes until close and I didn’t want to be a burden to the employees cause I work in food and I know how that is. Nonetheless, the guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful and we had a few laughs. My friend ordered a strawberry smoothie (sorry idk the real name for it on the menu) and I got the churro ice cream with a peach green tea.
I honestly just got the churro ice cream because I was at Disneyland the week before and I didn’t get to get one so I wanted to compensate. And plus it was really pretty. BUT TO MY SURPRISE it was literally (not figuratively) the best churro I’ve ever had!!! It was so soft yet crunchy around the edges and was heavenly with my ice cream. I’m salivating just thinking about it. Dare I say it was probably better than the ones they sell at Disneyland and for cheaper.
The peach green tea was really refreshing also! Comparable to any other boba place that exclusively sells tea. We stayed and ate a little past close but the owner/​manager was very sweet to us and didn’t rush us out.
To make the night even better, I got a really good laugh out of the unique sign on the bathroom door hehehehe.
Would def come here everyday if I didn’t live so damn far. But will make an effort to stop by whenever I’m in the area!!!

Me and my friends had to come here to try the famous churro ice cream sandwich! For the ice cream, I decided to go with chocolate and oreo flavors.
After waiting a few minutes, our churro ice cream sandwich was ready. The churro was super delicious. It tasted very fresh, soft, and chewy. The churro tasted great with the ice cream.
I would highly recommend customers to try this new dessert. I found out that they started serving the churro ice cream sandwich in August 2015.

I came here yesterday because I was craving churro ice cream sandwiches. Honey Berry is about 15 minutes away from where my bf lives, and is kind of located in the middle of nowhere, but oh was the drive worth it.
We ordered a churro ice cream sandwich with Oreo ice cream and a strawberry & Nutella roti bun to share.
The churro ice cream sandwich was on point. I’m a little picky when it comes to ice cream, so the ice cream itself was only OK, but the churro was cooked to perfection: nice and crisp on the outside, but soft and fluffy on the inside. Surprisingly, the churro ice cream sandwich as a whole wasn’t as overpoweringly sweet as I thought it would be; it was just right! A must get if you’re planning on stopping by.
As for the strawberry & Nutella roti bun, it was just OK. Don’t get me wrong, it was good. I mean how can you mess up with strawberries & Nutella? It just wasn’t anything special in my opinion.
The proportions of both of our selections were great. We weren’t stuffed after consuming our desserts, but we were content and satisfied.
Additionally, the pricing of the desserts were fair. A plus for me because good, cheap desserts are hard to come by.
Overall, the service was mediocre. There were only two other customers in the store (who had both already ordered) when my bf and I stepped in. After browsing the menu for a good amount of time, we placed our order with the cashier, who wasn’t mean by any means, but wasn’t super friendly either. It took her a while to get us our orders, and I was beginning to worry when she didn’t bring out our churro ice cream sandwich shortly after our roti bun. My bf half-​jokingly told me she probably forgot about us, but it did eventually come out. However, she seemed to be the only person working the store. So not only was she the one taking orders, but she was also the one making the desserts. Maybe someone called out or was on break? Either way I won’t hold it against her.
As for the shop itself, the wall art is to die for! A must see for Marvel fans.
I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I come to SJ.

If you’re lucky, they’ll be pulling out the roti buns fresh out of the oven. They will fry up the churros for you, to order. It is a little on the small side, but still shareable. I usually don’t like to share my desserts, but I didn’t mind sharing with the hubby ;)

I like the new decorations! Very modern and creative. I heard they changed owners/​management. They extended their menu compared to other Honey Berry locations and even made some new items and combinations. Pretty creative!
What I ordered:
— Mangonada: really good! Real mango fruit bits and they use mango gelato instead like a slushie so it’s creamy! It’s not a traditional mangonada but I enjoyed it!
Churro ice cream sandwich: I picked cookie dough ice cream and it went really well with the churro. I love how the churro is made to order so it’s nice and warm when they serve it. The churro is a good size too. When you bite into it there’s a slight crunch but the middle of the churro is nice and fluffy.
Nothing really bad to say about this place! I would definitely recommend coming to try their churro ice cream sandwiches!
Tip: since they make the churro when you order it be prepared to wait (especially if there’s a long line). Also the churro ice cream sandwich can get messy so I suggest getting a lot of napkins lol.

I’ve never had a churro ice cream sandwich before… but it turns out that they’re pretty darn good. I just wish this place was slightly closer… I drove 30 min. to try this place, haha. But I think it was worth it!
I got my churro ice cream sandwich with marbled raspberry ice cream. It was so so yummy! The ice cream was rich and creamy but the raspberry flavor helped add a little bit of tartness to balance it out. It wasn’t too sweet at all! And the warm churro… omg. So heavenly. I actually prefer the texture of the churro over a cookie. Especially when it’s served warm! I found it kind of messy to eat as a sandwich, so I ate the ice cream first and then dipped the churro «buns» in the melted leftovers of the ice cream. SO DELICIOUS. Highly recommend giving this place a try. They’re also known for their roti buns, so maybe I’ll try that next time!

I have always been a fan of Honey Berry! Their roti buns are soft, fluffy and delicious. When I found out through Facebook that this specific location was under new management and was advertising churro ice cream sandwiches and gelato roti buns, I was a little skeptical. Whenever I think «new management,» a part of me gets nervous. Recipes might change… their desserts might taste differently and etc.
Gave the gelato roti bun a try! YUM! I also wanted to try their churro ice cream sandwiches, but that would’ve been too much sweets in one day! I ordered the gelato roti bun with cookie dough gelato. It was tasty! I did notice that the roti bun was kind of more on the toasty side, which was different than the normal soft and fluffy roti bun that I am used to. However, it was still good.
I will come back and give the churro ice cream sandwich a try (:
