Hookah Castle

This is my favorite hookah lounge in San Jose. Amazing atmosphere, great music, awesome service, and wonderful hookah! The owners are awesome and respectful. I really enjoy coming here! Great place to stop for hookah if you’re in San Jose! It’s a must try!

Great hookah place! They remodeled the whole place and got new hookah sets. So it’s better than ever. The flavors are good, and the service is great. I was here a few nights ago with some friends and our server was very nice and attentive. They even have complementary hot tea for this cold weather !! I highly recommend this place ! And it’s only $ 15 with no additional fees !!! The only hookah lounge in the Bay Area that doesn’t charge extra for more than 2 parties. I’ll definitely be back!

Love this place! Always go here when we’re in town. Only thing is that they don’t allow ANY outside food or drinks. I had a to chug my coffee before going in :(

Great place to hang out on a Saturday night if you are a shisha lover (hookah) AND, they have a belly dancer on Saturdays, nice add.

First time here and was initially afraid it will be bad due to the old bad reviews BUT… they changed owners couple months ago and service is excellent, especially Bashier, I think that’s his name! Hookah was good too. The place is very clean as well. Will definitely be back again when I get back to San Jose!

So when I wrote my first review it was for the one employee Jose. After coming here more that year I noticed that the owner of the store and his possy were not very welcoming and nice, so I did stop coming here as often as I was because they made me feel unwelcomed. It wasn’t until my friend Ashley’s birthday when i had taken a group of my friends here, and I’m so glad i did! It turns out that this place has a new owner/​management and they have literally saved this place. I noticed the difference as soon as I walked in because they had new pretty candles and the environment was so much more welcoming! They let us pick where we wanted to sit and then came to take our order. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, he really cares so much about the customers and he is consistent with it. He introduced himself and announced the news that he is the new owner and that things were a little bit different than before and hopefully we liked the new changes and modifications. Shortly after he brought our entire group some free (delicious) tea, and then played some amazing music which is always great. We ended up staying all night until closing and we all left extremely happy and on cloud 9. Since that experience I’ve come back multiple times and they all remember my friends and i which is really difficult because they have so many customers but they manage to care enough to remember, they have a DJ and belly dancer that they bring in for entertainment and they will even let you Bluetooth your own music so that you can listen to your favorite music while you relax with your friends. Like i said they go above and beyond for their customers which really is all you need at a hookah lounge. This is my go to place, always. I have drive from Palo Alto to Campbell just to go here when i was literally walking distance from a hookah lounge, that’s how much i love this place. Highly recommended!!! They honestly treat all their customers amazing here you would be stupid to go anywhere else.

This place is way better then before. There is a new owner and he has taken it 10 steps better. I use to come her then stopped due to the service but heard of the new owner and it’s way better. I definitely recommend it.

I came back in finally send was greeted by Amir. I was pleased by his instant approach and I had told him my last visit here was not very pleasant since they weren’t open. This time they were and I didn’t make any reservations to come in today. I was in the area and figured I’d check it out. They use smaller hookahs but they work very well. He was open to me bringing my own hose. They had the NBA playoffs on which impressed me. I suggest this place to first time smokers. He did it right! Thank you Amir!

I was surprisingly underwhelmed :(based off of their 4.5 star review I was expecting much more. I went in on a Sunday at around 6:30 it was dead… When I say dead in talking myself and my boyfriend were the ONLY ones in there.
We walked in and after a couple min were sitting in a round booth, directly behind the owner/​employee that was working. The booth was clean but not very comfortable. The employee brought us a menu and we decided to get the «kings flavor» we splurged A bit since I used the Unilocal voucher (spend $ 12 and get $ 15 voucher). The Kings flavor was $ 20.
The flavor started off great but quickly died out and we were left without tongs to turn our coals and an employee too wrapped up in the Warriors game to come over and check on us :/​
We finally went and asked him and he came right over. He suggested we blow out the smoke and it will help it be less harsh.

The whole time we were there the basketball game was playing on the TV and there was no music…, not the end of the world, but then I used the restroom, probably one of the most disgusting bathrooms I’ve ever been in. That is disappointing to see in any business. smh take care of your place.
When the check came I explained I had a Unilocal voucher and showed him he said I couldn’t use it because we had a mixed flavor of tobacco, he insisted this was the case, but said I can use it next time. I double checked my Unilocal voucher and no where did it say that as a specification, so I showed him and he agreed to refund me the voucher money and only charge me the difference.
Would I come back… Probably not and to be honest I probably wouldn’t suggest this place to friends either, there’s just better hookah lounges in San Jose I’d rather just go there.

Seriously one of the best hookah lounges in San Jose and trust me I’ve been to many. I’ve been going here since opening and it’s always a pleasure being greeted by Amir and the other friendly staff.
You can’t beat the tasty flavors esp dragon mix, a must try!
The vibe is super chill and relaxed, a great place to unwind after work. Sometimes they have the warriors playing other days they have great upbeat music. For the hookah itself you always get great thick clouds without any harshness.

Really impressed with this place!!! I came here for a girls night out with my friends and we were seated right away. They got us set up really quickly after we chose our flavor. King’s Mix is bomb. It’s without a doubt the best flavor I’ve ever had. The hookah is really quality and it never got rough or anything unlike it does at some other lounges in the area. The guys working here were great and were constantly fixing our coals and checking in with us. I can’t wait to come here again.

First off I am quite the hookah head, I have been to every single lounge in San Jose. This was the last one that I haven’t tried till couple nights ago. So, Hookah Castle. inside looks like a dungeon/​basement, doesn’t really meet up to the name. The couches don’t match, not like its an issue, but it really looks like the owner went to different garage sales or good wills and bought random different couches. Owner or worker who was there, he was really friendly and nice but for as dead as the night was, he only came on to check on us once. The coals were never ashed and he didn’t leave us tongs. We had to keep coming up to him to ask for help. He was sitting with his buddies on Facebook smoking hookah.
Cons: The hookah bowls are way smaller then most lounges, the flavor was quickly dying at first it tasted really good then slowly It started tasting like roasted peanuts. Lack of attention to his customers.
Pros: The music they played was like throw back thursday mixes.
I do not plan to come back anytime soon.

This place is so chill! When all you want is a break, hookah here is the best place to go. I would recommend the King’s mix. Very smooth. Not only was the place just right, the service was more than I could ask for from a hookah place. Amir was very accommodating, too!

My friends and I were looking for a hookah lounge nearby the an area we were close in. We found this place and took a chance with it. Before you know it my friends and I fell in love with the lounge. It was beautiful inside with a relaxing/​chill vibe.
The manager Amir came up to us and responded to all our question we had and even gave us tips with hookah! The employees are genuinely really nice and caring. Asked us if we were okay, if we needed anything, and etc.
This is my go to spot whenever I come back home from San Jose!

It was a very relaxed and chilled out place.
The owners were extremely nice and would check on our coals frequently.
The flavors were great and they lasted a long time, plus they were priced cheaply.
There are comfortable couches, and you don’t have to yell over the music.
The place is big enough for a big party, but intimate enough to take a pretty girl out to hookah.
Fun place! Definitely coming back.

This hookah is the best in the bay! No loud obnoxious music pumping so you can’t hear yourself think, this place has comfy couches settled around, not too close to each other either. They’ve got a big screen TV that was tuned to the sci fi channel when I was there, so you could chat and/​or watch a movie while smoking. The hookah itself is awesome. We got the dragon mix with a pineapple head (no more watermelon heads here, which is what we came for). Their mixes can be pricey (ours is $ 30) but worth it for the flavors and the night out. The service was every good too. They were very laid back and checked our coals frequently. A favorite hookah place in San Jose!
