Coach Austin and I met way back when my gym opened up to ask for some tips on opening his own gym. Coming to another coach/​gym owner for advice isn’t something that is as easy as it sounds to most people; the South Bay is saturated and egos tend to get in the way. As a fellow coach, I can tell you that Austin had that personality and openness that makes a good coach. There was no ego and he was straight up with me as to what he wanted to do. Flash forward to present day, he’s opened up his own amazing facility and contributing to the quality that is hard to find in this area.

Austin is an incredible personal trainer and I would recommend him in a heart beat. I was hesitant to get a personal trainer originally because I didn’t want A) someone to charge me a bunch of money for an unpersonalized workout plan that drilled basic stuff that I already knew, or B) a drill sergeant jerk to charge me a bunch of money to yell at me and try to injure me with idiotic cross-​fit moves.
I knew I had a winner the first time I spoke with Austin. He got me on a detailed diet (that he even simplified when he realized that I was exceedingly busy with work) and really listened to my specific workout goals (lose fat, gain muscle, stay about the same weight). His workouts were hard and he pushed me to do my best. He is also very empathetic — and I mean that in the sense that he knows how his clients are feeling, how much he can joke with them, which days they’re ready to go all-​out, and which days they need a lower-​key workout.
I only stopped working with Austin because I moved, otherwise I’d probably have a workout with him after work today. If you want a skilled, intense-​but-​manageable, hilarious trainer who will quickly become as much of a friend as a coach then Austin is your guy.

I can speak for a lot of people when I say that Austin is hands down one of the most positive persons you’ll ever meet. This guy was born for this, his infectious energy, upbeat demeanor, and motivational skills are second to none (If you ever hit a PR around him you’ll see what I mean) and that’s what’s kept me training with him for years. When I heard he was opening his own gym, I immediately jumped on the opportunity to join and also brought my girlfriend with me.
The facility is clean, organized and intimate, the coaches can see all the members at all times to help with correct form and answer any questions before, during, and after workouts. The equipment is great, clean, and always organized as well! #1 Gym Pet Peeve is when weights get left everywhere scrambled, that won’t be the case here.
The team of coaches Austin has assembled is great. Shoutout to Coach Jerry for the insane workouts. (If you love high intensity workouts that push you to your limit, I highly recommend taking one of Coach Jerry’s classes for a spin!) If you’re a beginner, not to worry, Coach Josh will help you with your form with all the Big 3 Lifts (Squat, Bench, Deadlift) AND SOME.
The staff is friendly and welcomes you with a smile every time you step in. They’re all very helpful with any questions you have with accounts and fitness. Not to mention the in house massage therapists from ABA! Azi is awesome, she’s very professional and knowledgeable and went above and beyond making sure the nagging injury I had was taken care of.
Lastly, I believe one of the more important things when looking for a gym though is the community. The last thing you want is to be working out and feeling insecure about it. The #HSCSquad is awesome and everyone is so positive, upbeat, and competitive at the same time. Besides great coaching, I believe nothing will push you to be better more than a competitive atmosphere, and you’ll get that here during the Hyper Strong Barbell Club sessions.
I suggest whoever is reading this to do the same as I did and let Coach Austin and his team help you become the best version of yourself with their passion for fitness. I can speak for a lot of people one more time when i say, I can’t thank him enough!

Been here since day 1 and it really kicked my ass. Tried my best to be there for at least 2 classes a day. The soreness was all worth it. 2 months later and I lost about 5% body fat. All thanks to this awesome gym. What I love is that the classes are always different.
Coach Austin is the most motivating coach I have ever worked with. He really pushes you to the limit while also being a jokester at times. The rest of the staff is just as great and I am glad to have been part of the journey.

Something strange is going on. I’ve been to about 10 classes in 1.5 months, I’ve gained 15lbs…

Coach Austin is one of the most positive trainers I have ever met. He has been a great help in my journey in health and wellness, I have seen him grow as well from a trainer at a gym to owning his own now. The one thing that he has never lost is his passion to help and teach people. He is one of a kind. I can tell you this you will never be board. He constantly is learning to and growing in the ever changing world of fitness. Fads come and go hard work never changes. If you have goals he can help but the results are up to you.

Coach Austin is awesome!!! He’s everything I would want in a trainer: Non-​intimidating, SUPER motivating, down to earth and supportive at all times. He has a great sense of humor and always has a big smile on his face. Austin’s classes are tough but he makes it fun so it doesn’t feel too much like death. He combines weight training with high intensity circuit training so you get a full body work out. Austin also mixes up the work outs so it’s something different every time, which is important because it challenges me. I feel stronger and healthier every time I leave his class!

My wedding is coming up in 2 months and by consistently working out with Austin and focusing on my diet has made a big difference in my body. He also has a blog that I absolutely love reading because it’s funny and completely honest and motivating. I’ve lost 10 pounds already and have a little more to go before I hit my goal. I know I can do it and I’m so thankful to have Austin to help me get me there.

Coach Austin is probably the most motivating, passionate and positive coaches I’ve trained with! He is always upbeat and always kicks butt with his workouts! He will definitely have people feeling sore in places they didn’t even know muscles exist!

Coach Austin works extremely well with people of all physical and activity levels. He’s very encouraging and he motivates you so much. He will listen to any of your concerns and answers your questions. He has yeeeeaaarrrsss of experience under his belt and you can see how passionate he is because he gets really happy when you improve-​even if its just a small improvement. he’s also super funny so you never feel intimidated with him

Where do we begin…
My husband and I have been training with Coach Austin for almost eight months now, and we can honestly say we are in the best shape at this point in our lives than we have been in the last 20 years.
Coach Austin himself is a ball of energy that motivates you to be the best person you can be. Both physically and mentally.
Having such busy schedules is a way of life for my husband and I, and Coach Austin is always willing to work with and/​or around us to accommodate our continuously changing schedules.
We initially only planned on training for about three months, to get in shape for my brothers wedding. The wedding was four months ago, yet we continue to train and will continue to do so as long as we are physically able.
Much kudos to Coach Austin. You are one of the best investments we have made to better ourselves both physically and mentally. Words and money could never repay you.
