Beer! Not only that, great beer! The selection is huge and you’ll be feeling mighty fine after you a selection of their finest ale. You can bring outside food and there is even an outdoor patio. While it’s a bit on the colder side right now, but with Spring around the corner, nothing can top the warm breeze in your face as you take down a quality beer. One of the best feelings in the world. Staff is nice and the place is a very chill location. If you’re a beer fan and live in San Jose, then this is a must stop. This place truly has some of the finest beers I’ve tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of beer in my time.

The spot is really down to earth. A myriad of beers on tap and if that doesn’t tickle you fancy then go the fridge and get a bottle of your liking. If you are a beer connoisseur this is the place to go.

Came out to ISO Beers tonight for the first time. Only tried one beer but it was good. Can’t really say much about the beer selection since I only had one but my husband had 2 and he liked them both. And based off the menu, they should have something that everyone likes. Will definitely come back to try more and maybe buy a few beers from their fridge. If you haven’t been yet it’s worth a try!

Great place for some yummy craft beer! Bartenders are sociable and will recommend different types of beer from their varied selection. I especially love the outside seating area. Great atmosphere– the place starts buzzin, especially around the time people are starting to get off work.

This place is the gift that keeps on giving. Tucked next to an Ike’s in downtown San Jose is probably the best bottle shop in the area. The only downside is that the bottles are somewhat expensive, but if you’re looking for a night of phenomenal beer in a prime location, the extra few bucks are totally worth it. The owner of the bar is a great dude who really knows his beer(used to work over at Kelly’s on 4th) and is always willing to shoot the breeze with people in the bar. The patio incredibly spacious and is great because they allow dogs. I have had beers from High Westified, to Almanac Sours, to Altamont and Alpine IPAs here and their tap list is always impressive. They don’t sell food, but there are plenty of places across the street or around the corner and they allow you to bring food on and eat while you drink. I always come here and I don’t plan on stopping. Cheers!

Cool, modern temple to the brew. Fantastic, always-rotating, nicely balanced selection of beers and a nice patio to boot. Can’t believe it took me this long to hit up ISO. I’ll be back!

Better than a brewery? Why? Because they have the best beers from all around the United States, some international too but mostly domestic! They are always cycling through beers and usually have 40+ on tap and over 100+ different bottles of beer in the coolers! If you love beer, ISO beer is for you. The workers are knowledgeable of the beer available and will help choose the right beer for you! Average prices for craft beer but I would rate the selection of beer 5+ out of 5 stars!

ISO is solid. From the tap selection to the bottles, they’ve got you covered. Ordering is simple– head to the counter and pick your poison. Prices are about what you’d expect for a craft brew in DTSJ, servers are friendly and knowledgeable enough.

I love beer! I love beers on tap! And they have many. They also have many bottled beers. Great staff, great atmosphere, and I like the seating arrangements. A lot room inside and outside. The reasons why I didn’t give them 5 stars is the corkage fees, no tastings and I wish there were a little bit more of amber, red and pale selections. :x Four is still good!

Great little place that sells beers on tap and bottled beers in the fridge. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night just to check it out and grab some drinks. We looked around at the fridge selection but decided to go with what was on tap. We sampled some but apparently they don’t like to give out more than 2 or 3 samples. Which was fine I guess, but makes selecting a bit harder. A couple of beers I wanted was out already(on a Saturday night? Really? Sigh.) I wish they sold beer flights or samplers. However, we ended up getting three drinks and spent time out in their patio. Great place to relax with friends on a warmer night and just talk. Or people observe. I’ll definitely come back and will be bringing some snacks since I heard that was welcomed!

ISO beers is everything you could want from a beer bar. From their awesome selection of craft beers on tap to the excellent service, ISO does not disappoint. What strikes me about this place is the fun and inviting atmosphere. They have plenty of seating for both indoor and outdoor and everything is super clean here; no messes on the table or empty glasses hanging around at all. The beer prices are pretty much on par with just about every other beer bar I’ve been to. It’s about $ 5 – 10 bucks for a glass depending on what you get, which is just under a pint. They also have multiple refrigerators filled with all sorts of unique bottles of beers and barley wines(I could spend all day looking at them lol). My favorite time to come here is in the evening, the lighting is so perfect inside it makes it feel very cozy and warm… very relaxing. Service was pretty good here, the bartender was mostly busy with other customers, but still managed to find time to answer my novice brewing questions. I’ll put myself out there an say ISO takes one of the top beer bar spots in all of San Jose, definitely recommend it for all you beer fans!

If you’re looking for a new beer to try this should be your first stop. I’ve been coming here for the last few months with my friends. The parking isn’t too bad. My favorite beer is the anchor ale with nitro. They have a huge variety so you’ll probably find what you’re looking for. The outside seating is wonderful on a warm summer night. The area is very charming. All these factors contribute to a great experience.

After a nice Thai dinner, the Code boys wanted beer, but they didn’t want just any beer, they wanted specialty brews. Well a quick look at Unilocal told us that ISO beers was only a few blocks away on this chilly night. We made our way through town, chatting and taking pictures(Me), and then we popped inside. The cold cases were packed with Ciders, one offs and what have you, and of course Sour Beer. that’s what the husbeast drinks. He opted for a Lambec he’s never tried before, and I picked up a Zombie Killer, and he got something from the tap too.(The bottles were for later) To me, the tapped brew tasted like vinegar. It really wasn’t for me. The other guys each got something and i chose not to drink, but the place was hopping. It’s a place I could see a lot of my friends enjoying.

Thank you ISO Beers for constantly providing a solid choice in DTSJ for finding great beers and parking all in one. I mean, Original Gravity is great but finding parking in any remote nearby area is just absolutely impossible. ISO Beers is located, instead, on Santa Clara, and although the area is a little sketch, the parking is ample within about a 1 – 1.5 block radius. I always found great parking in this area at all hours of the day /night /weekend so makes this place less of a hassle to visit. Outside of that, there’s a great outdoor area /garden-ish to hang out in when the weather is nice and you have a larger group. Inside the steel counters really give this place a sleek and clean look. They have over 30 beers on tap easily(I haven’t counted …) but probably closer to 40 – 45! They’re all craft and lots of nitro beer options. I’m not usually a stout fan, but put a stout on nitro and suddenly it transforms the whole thing. They also have a great selection of bottles at not exceedingly obscene prices. You can grab a bottle if you find something special and drink in or take it to go. Big fan! Wish they were open later than midnight!

This is a quality spot to grab craft beer. The outdoor area is really nice and they always have good beers on. Prices are decent as well though they do gouge you on some offerings(i.e., Port BA Santa’s Little Helper). We frequented ISO during our time living in SJ, was always easy to find parking and there was always room to hang out, be in inside or on the patio. Additionally, ISO doubles as one of the best, if not THEBEST, beer store in SJ. I take one star away for the following: 1. Really, the inside has no ambiance. It’s very cold and sterile. 2. They have too many beers on tap. I say this because their draft beers don’t seem to turn over very quickly, thus the taplist stays the same for too long. This would result in my not returning for longer periods as I was waiting for new items to show up on the draft list. Also, somehow, in contrast to this point, we frequently ordered items on the list that were no longer available(this typically happened to my wife who likes to order big stouts). Still, a great place and one I’ll miss being able to visit.

ISO Beers ISo iSO… cool. Drinks — 40 beers on tap plus many more choices in the fridges to your left. What more can you ask for?! Range is $ 5 – 13 from what I remember, but it’s worth it. Food — They don’t sell any here but you are more than welcome to BYO from anywhere you’d like! Location — The number of times I have passed this place without knowing it is unforgivable. It blends in all too well… but let me say if you’re on Santa Clara St, it’s to the right of Ike’s. Ambiance — Industrial sleek on the inside… but boy, I can’t wait until it’s summer bc the patio outside would be prime. P. S.100th review!!! Boom.

So this is the place to go if you’re a beer person! They have a whole wall of refrigerators full of beer and they’re in different sections, ranging from light brews, IPAs, and even Sours! It’s a great place for a connoisseur of beers to go. They also have a ton of beers on tap. The guys that work there know a lot about each beer and can help you pick the best one for you! We went with a group of 8 people and everyone from the group found something they liked. They even have Honeys! yum! The only downfall is it is expensive! But, you pay for what you get. Quality brews cost money!

A Great spot get a Brew and Chill!!! This place is not for the timid or the novice beer person! ISO Beers brings quality, hard to get craft beer to San Jose. There several beer«spots» but ISO is relaxing. Get your brew, sit outside or just sit at the bar and fiddling on your phone. There was a TV-Flatscreen on, but the volume was on low, and there was no other music blaring in the back ground. I’m just tired of when ever I go out, to a place were it’s very loud. The afternoon that I was here… Quite! Almost like a library! This was my first time here. Since having kids, now toddlers, I don’t get out much. I’m do plan on stopping here again when I get a chance. Parking… Good Luck!!! I parked around the corner, up the street.

9÷20÷14: REALLY huge beer selection. Plenty of great stuff I love, including lots of sours(my current favorite style.) Some really rare stuff too, and on tap! 1. Anomaly White Chocolate [NITRO] $ 7(for 14oz): My friend was freaking out when he saw this on the tap list. I dunno what the whole story is, but I guess this is a beer geek’s best-day-ever find? He was so happy he right away said he’s gonna buy us all a glass cause he was overjoyed! Ha ha, well, anyway, the beer itself to me was just alright. Reminds me of Stone’s Vertical, the edition with the Anaheim peppers. There’s that roasted pepper taste, but not nearly as strong as Stone’s, but still there, and me not like it. Otherwise it’s pretty balanced. Anyway, I didn’t like it so much, but my friend was in heaven. I give that beer a 5⁄10. Again, amazing selection of beers. The ambiance wasn’t my thing – it was fine, but maybe not super awesome. Not sure what it was. Maybe the vibe was just a bit off. Something I can’t describe. But anyway, if I was entertaining a beer aficionado, this place is the place I’d go! 4⁄5. #bar #beer #drinks
