A star for the place being open late even though tomorrow is a holiday. The jr jack I got was dry and cold as was the rest of the order. I didn’t bother to go back because I felt the next one would still be nasty. The one on Almaden and Branham is way better, with the food fresh and hot even during the night shift. I know you have to work the night before a major holiday, I feel you. But you can’t have people pay money for their food to be cold and think that’s acceptable.

This place food tastes gross compare to other jack in the boxes. It doesn’t taste fresh, if you go the new jack in the box across Wendy’s on Monterey by the new super Walmart market. You can tell a huge difference in the quality of meat, bread and everything. It is so fresh I can’t come to this one again. The tacos are so oily and tastes so old here like they refried it. Yuck. You guys need improvement here!!!

Horrible service, I believe the male working the window maybe on drugs. He was shaking and taking a million miles a second. He lied about giving me the sauce I requested numerous times. His words«it is in the small bag must have fallen down the sides« How difficult is it to give sweet and sour sauce when you request a 3 piece egg rolls and chicken strips? Time 6:35-:6:40pm July 19th. I’ve had a lot of issues with this location in the past. Last time I will be going here.

They really pissed me off today! Asking to see ID for a debit card purchase from the drive through. My signature was on the back and everything and they still insisted on not giving me my food. I come here all the time and not once have I ever had any problems nor have they ever asked me for my ID. The guy told me I can go to the atm and pay with cash!!! And before that the lady told me that their debit machine was broken. Maybe you should’ve told me that before I ordered so I didn’t have to waste my time with you assholes!

S/o Kruti vyas who served us tonight at the drive thru tonight she was very time efficient and thoughtful. I liked how she made sure that our order was correct without us asking. She deserves more hours.

I normally dont review fast food joints much, but i must say this place is close to home and EVERY time I’ve came here, they have been accurate, no matter how big my orders are. They always make sure i’m taken care of and get exactly what i”ve paid for. I have no complaints here. Service has been good all shifts around, plus food is fresh!

YES, this place is in the hood. It’s not exactly a firing range, but it’s a working class area with plenty of sketchy characters around. You may be sharing space with vagrants, drug dealers, professional panhandlers, and mooching kids. If you eat in, park inside the drive-thru loop for safety. You’ll hear rice burners and Harleys with glass-packs tearing down Capitol running their ghetto blasters while you wait for your churros. Use the lane behind the gas station to get back to Senter at your own peril. The staffers speak kind of broken English, and I often have to repeat myself and make sure that what goes on the screen is actually what I ordered. But here’s the thing that counts — I always get exactly what was on the screen, and the difference in quality between this one and the Jack on Almaden(which is closer to me) is astounding. They know how to cook in the hood. The same burger that was greasy and unpalatable when gotten from other Jacks will be crisp and scrumptious here. and their fries are usually amazing. They also keep the place spotless, inside and out, and even when the line spills out onto the expressway, it seems to move faster than other Jack in the Box locations.

Can’t complain… I only drive through. It is busy at night. But food is consistent. They aren’t the friendliest at times but they are a lot better than most of the drive thrus in San Jose all together… Honestly, can’t give them a crappy review because its ‘fast food’… who requires the best service and food quality for $ 1.0042 tacos???

The drive through line gets PACKED around 8-midnight. I mean, come on people… eat somewhere else! Customer service is pretty decent, though. But they stopped serving the fish sandwich. So, as a pescetarian, I have no «real» meal here anymore. I resort to cheese sticks, and churro bites. At least it’s not chorro bites…

Drive thru services only: D Curly fries — exceptionally delicious and it’s seasoned! The straight cut fries just wasn’t my thing… actually fries aren’t usually my thing, but I love the Jack in the Box curly fries! Big Cheeseburger — it’s actually the possible choice of the smallest burger here, yet it’s still pretty big. and it’s cheaper than you’d think/$ 1.40(tax) I know McDonald has the 99 cents McDouble … but theis big cheeseburger is like 3 times lareger and a way better deal, and taste much better than pre-seasoned thin-ass meat patties. Tacos — 2 for 99 cents? and it tastes pretty decent too? :) Although, since it’s pre-made, it’s hard for them to give me extra cheese… they kind of slipped half a cheese slice in there for me to make it the ‘extra’ i asked for. Jalapeño poppers — ahhhh… 3 pieces of poppers feels like it’s too little and not fulfilling… but 7 pieces I know I can’t even finish it… what a bummer… but man, it’s good, watch out though, I have eaten it fresh out of the drive-thru window… the juice from frying it does squirt and yes, it does burn the roof of my mouth. Ultimate Cheeseburger — no lie, when I am depressed and want fattier than fat food. I get the Ultimate cheeseburger combo with a milkshake. It’s friggin’ awesome, juicy and not dried out like the patties at McDonalds or Wendy’s. When I order it, I always make sure to say NOMUSTARD, they tell me it’s a no mustard sandwich, but on occasions, there’s mustard in it :( Milkshakes — dude, they come with whip cream and a fake cherry now. haha, oreo shakes for the WIN! I remembered when they had caramel shakes. OMG can someone say CRAZYSUGARRUSH?! I don’t like this location very much, because when I am done ordering I have to drive right around and behind the ARCO gas station so that I don’t have to U-turn on Capitol Expy just to get back home, and sometimes when I do drive around the ARCO someone loitering there at night is there or another car is speeding behind it, the pathway there isn’t really large enough for 2 cars in opposite directions. Also, the bums around there, they do approach your cars and knock on your windows. I am not a fan of that, nor will I roll my windows down, even if they are pointing at something on my car like something is wrong.

Its early in the morning and I don’t have anything to do. I just got off work and decided to check out my own Jack in the Box. I’m an employee. I decided to write a review because the last one was too long ago and I’d like to see a more recent review. Sure I’m reviewing my own Jack but its because when I’m not in my non skid shoes, black work slacks, green shirt, hat and my wind breaker provided by the very caring owner of the franchise, I am a customer. This is my experience as a customer. I have nothing bad to say because everyone is smiling when you come in. You are greeted by the most enthusiastic employees and even more are the shift leaders and the manager. I also see a lot of the regular customers greeted in an exclusive manner because of their patronage. It takes a lot to smile at place like Jack in the Box and they deliver. And when I’m working, I am proud of my supervisors and fellow employees who never quit their cheeriness despite the some that come drunk, high, grumpy and/or mean customers. When it comes to the restaurant itself, the bathrooms are clean free of graffiti. The dining room is maintained regularly and even though Unilocal says its«not good for kids» and«no outdoor seating», it is not true. Sure Jack in the Box doesn’t give out toys but that’s an act trying to get passed in the Legislator. Sooner or later, you can bet that more of the popular chains are not going to be giving out toys either. Besides, the kids are not complaining. Its mostly the adults. As for the food, it is my duty that when a guest asks, «Which is good?» I am suppose to say, «All of them are.» I am a Catholic and God told me not to lie. I guess I’m lying because all of the products, food or beverage exceeds the word«good». I am actually trying to try everything on the menu in a healthy pace and here are my opinions. Number 1 and 2 sirloins burgers are the premium burgers that are served with a sirloin patty is really good but its hard to eat because its big. Sourdough Jack, Ultimate Cheese Burger, Bacon Ultimate, Jumbo Jack have a classic taste that can bring good memories when consumed. Steak Melt is really meaty. The Chicken Ranch is like a salad between two buns. Eggrolls were really good even though I was skeptic about it. Potato Wedges, Jalapenos, Cheesesticks are real good too but pricey though worth it. My food opinions cover basically any Jack locations. Bottom line is that when I’m not working, I am a customer and I have my opinion at my own place of employment. I don’t make a lot working at fast food but I am proud to not only work for this company but also for this location. Especially for this location. I will continue to order food at Jack especially at my lunch. Due to the fact that I get a discount. xD

3.75 stars My local Jack In The Box, but I hate the 30 – 40 minute drive thru line which is often on the weeknights and weekends. I love the sampler trio here and chicken breast pieces, yum-o! In addition, the place is open really late and sometimes 24 hours all night long. When I want a craving for curly fries or a sourdough jack, I know where to get it. However, the tacos… they haven’t been my friend lately. Meat is pasty, is it even meat? The taco shell, you can see right through, and where’s the lettuce? But you can never go wrong with their egg rolls, other dollar menu items, and their desserts.
