Can’t believe I’m reviewing a Liquor Store, but I just want to warn people that if you go here you might be charged some random price depending on what you buy. One example is when you buy drinks. Not liquor, but regular drinks. CRV tax on less than 24 ounces is always 5 cents, so that is to be expected. I bought a couple drinks and was charged 50 cents extra than what I pay anywhere else for the same drinks even though the price was the same. I don’t know about anyone else, but 5 cents or 10 cents to 50 cents is a significant difference. It’s not gonna break the bank, but it’s the principle of the matter. I don’t think it’s honest pricing. If a drink is 99 cents then you add your CRV tax and it’s very simple. What’s the additional tax for?

Worst service ever! They charge .75 cents extra if you using credit card which to me was ridiculous. First time I went they charged me the extra amount of .75 which to me was okay because I thought it’s under $ 10 and at some places they do. Second time i went through the same conditions where my total bill was $ 32. Wasting your time at this place.

Okay I came here to buy a sugar free redbull and they didnt have any in the fridge so I went to the cashier and asked him if he had anymore in the back maybe. So when i asked him he just looks at me and picks up his phone and totally ignores me. First of all you stupid old fat greasy flavor flav/mahamad gandi lookin b-i-t-c-h, Im a customer dont ever do that again. You need customer service and I hope your store closes down you pissfarrt stank glob. All the food in that store looks expired. I could of sworm i seen a roach near the candy aisle. They need to mop those damn floors too. Dirty, stinky and DISGUSTING! dont go here unless you want that afganistan in the middle of nowhere vibe.

Cashier: We charged you 75 cents. Me: Oh do you always charge 75 cents? Cashier: Almost always. Me: Oh, and you charged me this time? Cashier: Yes. Me: Oh. Why? Cashier: You were supposed to spend $ 10 or more. That would have been nice to know before he charged me. haha. there was no sign near the register either so he SHOULD’VE told me. That aside, this place still isn’t all that great. With Whole Foods and BevMo closed we came here to grab a few beers before heading to my boyfriend’s place. Fat Tire was the best they had… how sad is that? haha. It was also not too fun getting here. We were on Capitol and couldn’t make a U-turn on Jackson so had to drive all the way down(close to Tully). Would have been more worth it if their beer selection was better ;p When are we going to finally learn our lesson and start buying beer in bulk(or maybe just get kegs ;)) instead of scouring around the quality beer deprived East Side San Jose all the time? The Belgium monks have treated us well… we can never go back to Coronas or Heineken now!

3 stars for hooking us up with booze, zig-zags, cigarettes, optimos, black & milds, etc. when we were 16 and 17 at times on Friday and Saturday nights, until they got busted by undercover like 3 times in a month and got all more strict about their sales, or at least with alcohol. It helped to be able to grow a full on goate, mustache, beard or whatever by the age of 14 too, but it kind of sucked to have stopped growing at around the same age too. 40s of O.E. for pregaming for a Saturday night ESSJ or Berryessa house party was always fun.
