Great stock — very good quality, fair prices, and staff is both friendly and knowledgable. Nice to have a few solid aquarium sources in town. Also nice that there aren’t a bunch of kids running around, like in some is the other LFSs.

Great little shop and what makes it so good is the customer service I get not only from Keith but his employees as well. I just got a new tank and they’ve helped me through the process of getting it all set up and running. They’ve given me lots of advice and guidance plus good deals on all kinds of products and livestock. I’m sure I’ll be a regular fixture in this shop.

Awesome service! It sucks that I have to travel a lot to find a good selection of fish and coral. I love in San Francisco so there’s not much here. But it wad worth the drive. The employee, Guylou was extremely friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Very helpful and honest shop. I had some questions about tank setup. The employee there (Dave I think) was patient and informative and didn’t try to make me feel like an idiot like a lot of aquarium stores do to beginners. Keith was also great. There was no pressure to buy, and I got the sense they were more concerned about the success of my tank than making a buck. Awesome selection of corals, fish and supplies. Prices seem reasonable from what I’ve seen at other stores. I ended up buying some live rock and am happy with the purchase. I’ll definitely be back when my tank is ready.

The customer service is just awesome. I have been here a dozen times as I get into this hobby. I’m surprised every time that I walk in; they remember my name, details of my tank and livestock, and even my fiancée’s name. I’ve always been assisted with really detailed information on new stuff, as well as help with any issues that are going on in my tank. I’ve even sent many emails to Keith and he is very responsive… And the kicker is — this level of service is not just from the owner, but from every guy that works there.
The only downside to KCR is that the footprint of the shop is small and the selection goes along with it. Still there is a lot of stuff in here… 4 large coral frag tanks, 1 cured rock tank, 1 seahorse tank, 8 large fish tanks, many other smaller fish tanks for aggressive fish, starfish, and then 1 very large show tank that greets you when you walk in. I have seen some exotic stuff here that I’ve never seen anywhere else… lionfish, file fish, puffers, anglers, etc. Don’t forget any type of equipment you’d need.
All that said — if you’re like me and you have something very specific you want (picky), they may not have it. But remember to learn to be patient in this hobby, because they will work with you to order what you’re looking for.
I should also mention that I’ve visited almost all of the shops in the area, hunting for the best shop. In comparison, I’ve noticed the prices are spot on with other shops and the fish quality/​health is the best. The tanks may not be the cleanest in terms of algae, but I’ve learned that it isn’t very important.
And again… the customer service is the reason to shop here.

Found this great lil hidden place last month the staff there was so willing to help explain corals and what fish would work for my tank I keep coming back

I visitied this place about 1 month ago, and I got some very nice soft coral there. They are very helpful to the salter water tank beginner, like me, aswering my questions. And, they are also excited to see my 55G tank about what I have. Staffs there are super friendly, including the guard dog.
Note: It’s not easy to find, even by using a GPS.
Agreed, the shop is not huge, but they have a very good variety of fishes and corals with great prices. Highly recommended.

Interesting little shop that’s off the beaten path. Checked it out due to some reviews suggesting it for more experienced reefers but I would probably suggest the opposite.
The coral selection was pretty slim from what I saw and many of the corals were common. Fish selection was slim as well but I’m sure you have to visit at the right time to get first dibs on shipments when they come in. Prices seemed competitive and livestock appeared healthy for the most part.
Staff (which I assume included Keith), was knowledgeable and helpful from the conversations I overheard them having with other customers.
I probably won’t be back but I wish them all the best!

It pains me to write a review like this, not because Keith and his staff don’t deserve the review, but because I fear I am going to give away the South Bay’s best kept secret.
If you are an experienced reefer and appreciate and understand quality, I highly recommend this local fish store. The coral selection keeps growing, the fish selection is fantastic and despite the smaller footprint, Keith has used the space efficiently.
I purchased an incredible small Dendrophyllia colony (best color combination yet, orange tentacles/​body, bright yellow mouth) from Keith as well as a Purple Tile Fish (named Weenus) and both are doing great. He has a humble approach (he knows what he is doing but doesn’t force his methods) but a fantastic and ambitious passion for the hobby and the community at large.
At this point, the coral and fantastic livestock are second to looking forward to catching up with Keith.
Don’t expect to to see 80 different LE corals at $ 400/​piece, but do expect to find a great piece to add to your collection. Please, keep this one our secret.

Great store ! Everything you’d ever need for ypur tank and your fish needs. Sergio was very helpful with finding different kinds of coral and he knew all about the things he was talking about. Very helpful and great prices

Went in here with my wife about a month ago, the younger gentlemen with the dog was working. Didn’t get his name, but he was super helpful and friendly. Great prices and livestock. The guy went above and beyond to get us what we needed.

Drove all the way out from the east bay to visit this store and it was very well worth it! Keith, the owner, is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He has a vast variety of corals ranging anywhere from $ 10 to $ 100. All extremely healthy and definitely a bargain! Anytime I am in the area, I always remember to stop by.

Update on tank, everything is doing really good. Very stoked to have the luxury of shopping here. I am somewhat new to the hobby, a couple years, like the advice I get from Keith and Sergio.

Small place that might be easy to miss for a few. Anyway, clean new store with a still growing coral inventory. The people that worked here are very informative and knowledgable. This place is good for mid to advance reefers. What I love most is that they do not push anyone to purchase anything unless you can support it. Awesome new store with good selections.

We just started a salt water tank a few months ago, came across this place and checked it out. We won’t go anywhere else now. Keith and Sergio are so helpful and nice. They have quality products and are very knowledgable. Our tank is doing well since we have bought from them. They are always available to answer questions. I highly recommend this place of you are looking to start a tank, looking to replenish a tank or expand.

This is a smaller store that will mostly appeal to mid-​to-​advanced reef aquarists. It’s new and clearly still being setup, but a good selection of frags and full coral, a few fish, etc. Everything is spotless and the giant skimmer on the end of the tanks is clearly doing it’s job. Not much in dry goods, but did have some foods in the fridge that are hard to find. One of the few places to stock clams (and they were looking healthy)
Prices seem reasonable with good quality coral demanding good quality pricing. Factor in shipping and I doubt you’ll do much better online.
