Very tasty. We tried the taco platter (pastor) and the super burrito (cabeza). Both were delicious. The service was very good as well. Ordered at the counter, and our food came out in ~5 minutes, piping hot.

They make my order right every single time (regular burrito de carne asada with green sauce, no beans, add sour cream and cheese, and toast the tortilla please) just as long as this one very nice lady takes my order, even over the phone. It might be in a rugged part of town, maybe a lil hole in the wall, but don’t let the eastside scare you. The food that comes out is great. A1 I grew up in the fruitvale district in oakland and found something that is close to that authentic Mexican taste that I miss and crave. La Mejor is the place to go to! Just trust it!

La mejor means «the best» in Spanish and that’s exactly what this place has. The best tacos I have ate in the Bay Area. And this is coming from someone who’s family has been in the Mexican restaurant business for decades. My recommendations are the asada tacos and my favorite: TRIPAS.
The lady that takes the orders is very nice and friendly and she’ll take your tacos right to your table. I agree with some people this place is a little dirty and it is in a not-​so-​good neighborhood, but once you try the food here you’ll forget about all of that

Delicious! 5 stars! Tacos here are really good. Customer service is excellent! Drive 20 miles to get there but they are sure well worth it!

I was in the neighborhood and feeling hungry. I looked around and saw this taqueria calling itself the «best taqueria (la mejor taqueria)» so I had to try it. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a very friendly lady (probably the owner or manager) standing behind the cash register. I ordered 3 tacos, one of each kind and… wow! delicious. I usually can only eat 3, maybe 4 but they were so good I had to go order another round.
This is a simple restaurant, but clean, organized and frankly with the best tacos I’ve ever had in the area. I am definitely going back!

I wish I tried their tacos. Instead we got the Enchiladas. It came with avocados! YUMMM!
However, I thought it was overpriced. $ 15 (with tax) for 2 enchiladas, a side of beans and rice (and avocados)? Though the chicken was very soft and tasty.
Next time I’ll try their tacos but at $ 1.75 per, and $ 7.50 for 3, it’s pricey.

Best place around I drive 30mins just to eat here. Miss this place the enchiladas are to die for reminds me if my own mom made.

My girlfriend had told me about this place when I was craving some tacos. She said they were very good although the place is a little dirty. I tried the tacos there and I was hooked. I agree with those that say this hole in the wall is the best place for tacos, they are the closest I can think of that remind me of the delicious tacos sold on the street corners in Mexico.

Look no Further!
You have searched for the best mexican food in Silicon Valley! This taqueria should be 10 stars. The flavors the carne asada tacos give is out of this world. The place is small and it gets full quickly but the wait is worth every taste!
I live in San Francisco and unfortunately I can not find a mexican taqueria as good as La Mejor Taqueria. It is truly the best!

I have to agree with the only other review I used to work in palo alto and love 3 brothers. My mother took me here and I have to say they have the best tacos anywere guaranteed an I have taken friends there and they agree. Juicy tacos not dry like other places.

We drive from near or far… mmmm. This is by far my favorite taqueria. How did we find this whole in the wall? Let’s go back… way back. It was a love affair that started some 10 years ago in East P.A. There was a taco spot where the IKEA builing now stands. It was called three brothers tacos. We used to live in union city and drove across the bridge to go there, at least 3 times a week. I know, it’s an addiction I tell you. Anyway, we got the devastating news that they were selling to make way for IKEA. We asked the girl who worked there if there was any other 3 brothers in the bay area and she told us about this place, it was owned by the same guy, So we headed there to check it out. It was love at first bite. We have never strayed again. They are very nice and the food is great. We have only tried the carne asada tacos here, but the rest of the menu is good too.
