Dr. Levingston seems like a capable optometrist. I have a few negatives to say about the business however. For one thing they upsell a lot. Right off the bat, hey’ll try and convince you to get an expensive digital retinal scan that your insurance won’t pay for. Then, even though my eyes didn’t change at all from year-to-year and I don’t even legally need vision correction in the first place, they tried to sell me on a new pair of glasses and did the same for my son. Another thing is, they call weeks in advance of your appointment with a reminder instead of a day or two in advance and if you don’t call back to CONFIRM you’re coming, they’ll cancel your appointment and you can show up and get turned away. I don’t have time for that, I’ll give the courtesy of calling if I’m not coming but I keep the appointments I’ve got on my calendar. Also, if there’s any insurance hassle, plan on handling it yourself. All-in-all the customer service is poor and the professional service is average.
