I had to do fillings for my teeth and my friend suggested Lidia. Her schedule was pretty packed and I had to wait for a week. But it totally worth a wait. Her prices are amazing. And she cares for your dental health like nobody else.

The staff is very friendly and I loved the receptionist, she was fun to talk to.
This review is strictly about Dr. Shamis’ performance. I was in need of some fillings in some areas and she kept insisting I should get the silver filling (which contains mercury) when clearly ALL of my fillings were already the tooth colored (white) fillings. I could feel the work wasn’t great since one of the fillings was behind my front tooth and I could compare by using my tongue to feel. But I had no idea how bad it was until I recently visited a new dentist who was horrified by her work. My new dentist said those fillings look like someone just took a blob and pasted it on without any care. One of the fillings was so badly filled (meaning it wasn’t fully filled) that food ended up getting stuck inside the tooth causing decay. Im a daily flosser, her fillings were only in for a year and a half there is no way it should have gone bad. I have to redo all those fillings now. I do have to give her credit for always being conscious of how much her patient needs to spend and trying to give them the best/​cheapest deal. So I guess you get what you pay for.

I was Dr Shamis’ patient between 1997 and 2011. I switched to Dr Nasakin because she is much closer to where I live. Dr Shamis is a great doctor and a true perfectionist in a good sense of that word. The whole office is friendly and the front desk receptionist would call you with a courtesy reminder. They offer Saturday appointments.

The doctor is friendly. Nice place to do some simple work. A problem starts when you need something beyond routine cleaning. In my case it happened so that extraction was necessary. That was the worst dental experience of my life. She tried hard but finished cracking a tooth in half and giving up sending me to surgery. And that was Friday afternoon! I was left literally in blood and pain for the weekend. Think twice about what this doctor may be allowed to do.
