Susan is the best hair stylist I’ve ever gone to. She’s not like a typical woman that cuts off 8 inches when you ask for a 2 inch trim. She kept my sweeping bangs long like I asked and layered out my hair while making sure she didn’t compromise the length. I’ve always had bad experiences with hair cuts — I went 9 months without getting a trim and luckily I trusted Unilocal because I’ll definitely go back and get a hair cut with her. My hair length is past my mid chest and the cost was under $ 15(:

SUSAN is the person to go to(= She does whatever you want to do and she won’t say that it’ll look ugly or it doesn’t suit you. If she knows it wouldn’t match your face shape, she’ll still go with whatever you want, but at the same time, she’ll adjust it to make you look good. She speaks perfect English, Vietnamese, and Chinese. She isn’t quick and unprofessional like a lot of other asian ladies. She’ll make you feel good about your hair + nails before you even step out of the salon. Walk-ins are welcome, but expect her to be busy on fridays and saturdays. Also she doesn’t work on Sundays or Mondays

I only go to this salon for ONE reason. That is SUSAN. I have never tried to get a hair cut by anyone else except Susan at this location, nor have I gotten a hair cut by anyone else for the past 5 years. She speaks clear English and will do whatever YOU want to your hair, not what SHE thinks is cute or good looking, but sometimes I like to ask her for her opinion. She’s pretty much good at anything. My entire family goes to her. from the little kids to the grown ups. Her pricing is VERY affordable and very worth it.

One of the reasons why I don’t know much about hair is because I just don’t care. Another reason is because I go here. But don’t get me wrong. There is NOTHING bad about this place. The owners do what they can to keep it clean, and the fact of the matter is they’re simply good at what they do. However, since the stylists are predominant Vietnamese, chances are they won’t understand what you’re saying. Countless times, I’ve asked for a fade, and they reply with, «Short?» And I’m like, yeah – short. Apparently, the shortness of your hair depends on a number. The lower you go, the shorter your hair is. Aside from this concept, I’ve always brought an ideal picture of myself and flatout told the barbers to emulate that hairstyle. This is just an opinion from a guy who simply shaves his head every month. I can’t say much for the nail jobs and other things that they do for women. All I know is that haircuts are $ 8 and they accept credit cards(if you spend at least $ 10 – so ladies, this might be an okay place to try out.) I go here simply because it’s the cheapest and best place near my house, and they’ve known me for a while.
