MetroCom Go Wireless

i came here after 5 pm on a weekday, expected it to be busy, but it was fine. there were 3 employees available, and i was able to talk to someone right away.
the employees were willing to talk patiently about the service and products, and they were well informed.
i got 80 $ in rebates back on my $ 130 phone, but i had to get at least the second higher cost service of the 3 options for the first month. that’s ok tho, i can change it next month if i don’t like it. so far, i’m digging the fact that i have gps and email on my phone. IMing is the other major perk of the higher cost plan that i chose ($ 50 vs $ 40), but they don’t seem to have yahoo IM as an option, and i don’t generally use AIM or MSN.
the $ 40 plan includes unlimited web access, texts and calls. the web access is html only. i use the Unilocal mobile app to find restaurants pretty regularly. they also have a $ 45 plan, but the perks on that aren’t that exciting for me. i don’t text to mexico or anything like that.
so far coverage has been fine. it doesn’t work that well up in the east hills where my mom lives, but even verizon is patchy there.
the rebates require photocopies of the purchase receipt. i asked the employee if he knew a place where i could copy them, and he said he’d do it for me. that was nice of him.
i was in and out really quickly. the phone was already charged, so i was able to make calls instantly. i had to go somewhere, so i didn’t have time to ask a lot of questions about the phone functions, so i guess that means i need to read the manual. boo.

Woohoo! This store is as good as it gets! Great Customer Service, Great deals on their phones and they have most accessories for the phones they carry.
