Miako Arii OD

I’ve been going to Dr. Arii for about 3 years now, and I really do like going to her! Dr. Arii is very knowledgeable and quite patient as well. I went in for a contact lens fitting recently and wanted to try out a new brand (a cheaper one, because the one I use is very expensive!). Because I’m almost as blind as a bat (according to my boyfriend, I need to use sonar when I don’t have glasses or contacts in) Dr. Arii had to special order some dailies in my prescription. I had to come in on a separate day to get fitted for those, and fitted me for another contact brand as well. I ended up trying out 4 different contacts, 2 dailies and 2 biweeklies. So I will have the opportunity to try out several different options to find the right fit for me.
Before I was not very happy with the receptionist, but there is a different receptionist there now that explains things very well. She was also very understanding when I had to change my appointment 3 times in one day (I had to find a ride for a dilation appt).
Something to note is that they don’t accept insurance!

Great optometrist! I’ve worked 3 years for an optometrist before so I always have high expectations for optometry offices. Dr. Arii was very friendly and answered all my questions. She is thorough and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Arii!

Exceptional optometrist! Is a great patient advocate. I had concerns with my vision, and she took me in right away without an appointment. She does a complete assessment with clear explanations. I definitely will return in the future.

Reasonably priced.
However I never had a problem ordering colored contacts until now. Even with my old doctor– I was able to get my regular and colored contacts under one prescription.
6mos cut off period to go back and get another prescription? Lol… I’ve never heard of this! Ive been wearing glasses and contacts all my life.
Seems like they want to make more money off me. I won’t be returning.
The doctor is nice. Just wish they give you the fine print. Lol.

This is the worst managed optometry clinic! They schedule appointments with you and are always 1 to 2 hours behind. If you’re scheduled for 3:30, you’ll see the doctor at 5:30. There is no professionalism. The receptionist barely speaks English and gives you an arrogant attitude. Expect a cramped and dirty reception area.
Dr. Arii is so so. She tries to up sell you all the time. It’s like talking with a car salesman. She is always in a rush, don’t expect good service.
I do not recommend this office. Go somewhere else.
