Just don’t get the hype. The burger is just OK at best. The people that work there were all very nice. Just saying the food was bla!

This is the second time I’ve been here. I’ve enjoyed the dining experience both times! The place is very clean and well kept. A major plus! 5 stars of cleanliness!!! I ordered the Triple Classic Burger and Onion Rings. The burger was very juicy and seasoned well. I loved it! I would rate it a 4.5 stars! The Onion Rings were just OK. Nothing exciting there. 3 stars for the Onion Rings. The service was excellent, efficient, and friendly. I think it was the owner who helped me out. She was great! Service is 5 stars! I’ll definitely return for more delicious burger and to try their other offerings! 4 stars overall! Update: So I’ve been here a few more times and have tried some of their other items. I have recently had the Grilled Tilapia Burger and the Chili Cheese Fries. The Chili Cheese Fries was OK. It wasn’t bad, but it was not great either. Most likely, it is not something that I’ll order again. 2.5 stars for the Chili Cheese Fries. The Grilled Tilapia Burger was a real disappointment!!! It was a failure in a number of fronts! The flavor was not good at all. It actually had a strange after-taste to it. The tartar sauce that came with it did not help the flavor. The fillet of fish was falling apart as I was trying to hold it together. The texture of the fish was mushy. The lettuce that was in the burger was so full of the tartar sauce that I was not able to detect any freshness or crispness from the lettuce. I was scratching my head, wondering how the same restaurant that provides such good hamburgers, give such an awful fish sandwich! I’m thinking that if they can’t or won’t offer a better fish sandwich, they should not offer it at all! 0 star for the Grilled Tilapia Burger! So what are the positives for Mojo Burger? 1. Great burger 2. Excellent customer service 3. Clean restaurant That is worthy of 3 stars overall!!! The burger is definitely worth coming back for!

Came here on none other than national hamburger day. I had been gunning for in and out, however, my partner had been craving local chili cheese fries and Mojo’s happened to have them! We came in 30 min before closing and the place was empty. Lots of seats! No booths though. Just tables and chairs. They have a counter by the window looking onto the street so its good for people watching during the day. They had one flat screen tv facing employees and two small screens on the far wall. One of them was on when we came in and we asked for the audio to be turned on. I ordered a cheeseburger and added bacon. My partner ordered a mushroom swiss burger and we shared an order of chili cheese fries. For two burgers and a side of fries we paid $ 20. We almost got a shake and were informed by the cashier that they can split the sizes up in case we wanted to share! I thought that was neat and it was nice that we didn’t have to ask if it was possible. My bacon cheeseburger was OK. The bacon seemed to be cooked in the oven or maybe one of those fast fryer things. It wasn’t oily or greasy at all though. My cheese wasn’t melty but I don’t mind that. I actually prefer it the way it was served here. My partner was surprised his burger didn’t have lettuce or onions. He asked for two sides of onions; one for his burger, the other for the chili cheese fries. An employee offered to add these in for him but he stated he’d have the burger the way it was meant to be. Overall, we liked our burgers. They weren’t mind blowing good but they were decent enough that we will think of Mojos the next time we have a burger night. Its a big plus that their grass fed and they are sized well for the pricing. Their about the size of those fancy, higher priced burgers you find at chain fast food places. Their chili cheese fries on the other hand could use some work. They were bland and uninspiring which is sad considering the hefty portion you get for $ 4.

I’m surprised that this place has so many good reviews. I would probably like it more if it weren’t so damn expensive. My boyfriend and I ordered two hamburgers and one order of fries and it was $ 17. That doesn’t include a drink, either. I was hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking that their burgers would be huge, juicy and delicious. Instead, their burgers just look like a little bit of a higher quality hamburger from McDonald’s. It tasted good I guess but it was nothing special, and especially so at the price. Even the fries were pretty bland and felt like generic fries that you would buy from a fair or something. I was starving at the time so probably anything would’ve tasted good. I wouldn’t go back when places like In N Out and even Carl’s jr are cheaper and tastier.

Just went to Mojo Burger for my birthday lunch with my daughters and got to meet Mr. Mojo himself! He treated me to lunch. The burgers there are so delicious and I love their quality ingredients. Their shakes are the best part. It’s hard to pick a flavor.

Had a #1 combo. Very fresh and tasty. The onion rings are really good. I am not sure why but the last couple of times I have been here, it has been basically empty. Service is great and the restrooms are clean.

Gotta say, I’ve been thinking about Mojo Burger lately. I’ve been back to this Mojo Burger a few times. Pros: grass fed beef, free range chicken, organic milkshakes… where are you going to find that at a burger place that has reasonable prices? Also, additional fun toppings you can add like pineapple and mushrooms. They also were very nice to me one time when I had just come back from working all day in 96 degree heat, was covered with flour, exhausted, and just wanted a couple onion rings with my burger. That’s customer service! Also, it usually isn’t too crowded. Fries looked better than in the past. Cons: A little slow. It’s not quite fast food, it’s medium speed food. Interior décor could use a little bit of an update. Verdict: I’m a fan of Mojo Burger nowadays, even if I initially was not that impressed.

I had the bacon cheeseburger. Free toppings(not as many crazy choices as 5 guys but that shit’s overkill anyways). I just got the shrooms. Nice size, fresh, clean(not overloaded with sauce and fat). Grass fed beef is awesome. Also their chicken is free range(didn’t try this time).

Was hungry for a good burger and some fries so we decided to go into Mojo’s. Ordered our burgers + fries and waited for about 5 mins for our orders. #1. They forgot our 2nd order of fries so we had to go back to check and ask for our fries. The lady was nice enough to overfill our fries to compensate for forgetting. #2. They forgot the smoked bacon in one of our burgers… had to pay extra for the bacon but didn’t even get our bacon… super disappointed! Overall, the burgers + fries were delicious but I had to subtract 2 stars for those reasons listed above. Well worth the money for nicely done burgers but be sure to double check your orders before you leave!

You looking for a great burger spot that will suit the whole family? This is the spot. Veggie, chicken and beef burgers are all fresh and daily made to order. The fries and onion rings taste delicious as the oil is clean and the fryer is maintained. Delicious milkshakes, fountain drinks and root beer floats, too. Perfect for the kids! There are little people tables and cartoons playing to keep them busy.

It was a solid burger, what can I say? If you’re not feeling like paying an arm and a leg at Main street burger, this is a sufficient back up. I got a shake here and was excited that it was strauss. I ordered banana and it was banana flavoring??? kinda sad. I want delicious chucky banana goodness. What’s the dealio? Also we got the western burger and it was SOSAUCY. I love bbq sauce this this was intense. Onions were on point and they stuck in an onion ring as well which redeemed it :)

«I like hamburgers, because I hate communism.” – Anonymous Mojo Burger(MB) is the brainchild of McDonald’s Hamburger University graduate, and avid surfer, Peter Favre(aka Mr. Mojo). This locally-owned, and family-run chain of burger joints(three in total) is still consistently named one of the Silicon Valley’s «Best» burger joints by local publication, The Metro, for ten years running. MB was definitely my «go-to» spot when I was craving a quality«fast food-style» burger and fries. However, over the years I’ve found myself hungering for it less, and less. Let’s see if we can figure out why. Fries– MB has always set themselves apart in this area from other burger joints with their fresh, hand-cut fries. I remember thinking they used to sprinkle them with crack, because they were so good that I used to dream about them. However, the last few times I had them they were just OK. I’m not sure if they switched up spuds, cooking oil, or what? With that being said, they’re still pretty decent and always fresh – just not crave-worthy. 3* Hamburgers: Buns– Run-of-the-mill hamburger bun, that’s soft and fresh. It doesn’t really add much to the burger, but doesn’t detract from it either. However, it does hold up to messy ingredients, which is a must for a bun. 3.5* Toppings– MB has always used top-notch ingredients to top their burgers; the veggies are always fresh and tasty. They also have a nice assortment of free add-ons(e.g., pineapples, grilled onions, jalapeños, etc) that you can customize your burger with. Their Mushroom and Swiss burger has always been a personal favorite of mine. 4* Beef– This is where MB takes a turn for the worse; they used to use Meyer Angus Beef –like my current favorite local burger joint, Juicy Burger– and it was beefy and delicious. They recently switched to 100% grass-fed beef that lacks any«beefy» flavor, and almost tastes insipid and livery. I don’t think it’s anything they’re doing, but a by-product of grass-fed beef itself. I know it’s better for the environment and what-not, but I’d rather eat chicken… 1.5* Service & Ambiance– I’ve always had positive interactions with the staff, which usually consists of Mr, Mrs or Grandma Mojo. This is the OGMB location, and is in a run-down shopping center, but it’s hardly ghetto. The interior could use some sprucing up, but I’m always happy to see the TVs on the kiddie wall showing Boomerang cartoons. Service 4*/Ambiance 3* Value– Anyone who’s shopped for beef lately knows that anything«100% grass-fed» equals money, and MB’s prices reflect that. It’s hard to get a burger, soda and fries here for less than $ 10. My average meal total the past two times has pushed the $ 15 mark – which I wouldn’t mind paying, if they still served up the same burgers as before. 2* I vascillated quite a bit when deciding on a final star value for MB. The deciding factor was(as it always should be) the returnability factor, and I just don’t see myself in a hurry to come back anytime soon. I’ll probably pop-in again sometime in the future and hope for days past, but until they change their meat supplier I don’t think that’ll happen.

The all American diner that has tasty fast food and milkshakes! Mojo burger is a better than decent hamburger when compared to other hamburger chains. It is in no way my favorite hamburger, but it is my favorite fast food burger joint. The burgers are great quality, large portioned, and always cooked perfectly juicy and tender. Typical order is the bacon southwest burger, onion rings, and chocolate shake. The shakes are some of the best I have ever had… period! The onion rings are fried to order and better than your typical fast food onion ring.

I’ve changed my mind. The burgers here are very good. It’s now my go-to place for when I want one. Yes, it’s still expensive, but they serve grass-fed beef which costs more and is better for you if you’re going to eat red meat. I also enjoy their sweet potato fries.

When I was younger, back around the Dark Ages or so, one half of this place was part of the tae kwon do studio that I trained at, and the other half was a charming little burger place that I occasionally ate at after training. The shopping plaza is a little less child-friendly these days, but I had passed by this place occasionally in the years since. Being just a jump to the left and then a step to the right of downtown Willow Glen and occupying a very visible location without too much in the way of direct competition within striking distance makes this place stand out. Tonight was the first time I had the free time and inclination to go in, so I did. The first thing that I noticed was that the place was clean, open, and inviting, though in a more understated way than might have been implied at first glance. Part of the research I did indicated that the customer service was aiming for bright and engaging, but it was definitely trending neutral on this occasion. That was okay though; it was the last couple of hours of the night, and the place was mostly empty, so I was not expecting cartwheels and exuberance. The décor, while nice and relaxing, did not strike me as anything immediately unique. Pretty cool, yes, but I think someone else could have come up with something similar, completely by accident, just by trying to create something for marketable coolness. Since the quality of the food was very prominently pitched, I expected prices to reflect that. However, the prices actually bordered on what one would pay at a full-service restaurant in some cases, and the portion sizes do not necessarily come close. Do not get me wrong; the burger was definitely of a high quality. I would not necessarily call it out and out the best in the Bay Area, but for its weight class at least, it is definitely a top contender. The one I had(double cheeseburger) seemed to be just slightly overloaded with toppings, particularly ketchup and mayo, that seemed to take away from the meat, but the fact that I omitted the pickles and tomato(which I dislike) probably had something to do with that. The fries, however, were not anything special or memorable. All in all, my opinion is that while Mojo Burger does deal up high quality product, the pricing can be potentially off-putting. If you are going to be paying a price comparable to a full-service restaurant, you might as well go to a full-service restaurant. If quantity is more important than quality, or you are otherwise somewhat ambivalent about the quality issue, there are a plethora of more cost-effective alternatives. Sure, the main pitch of food quality is essentially the four-seam fastball; ubiquitous, but effective in simplicity. However, the supporting pitches of customer service with a smile and unique décor are basically akin to complementing a fastball with a couple of slightly different fastballs. It becomes less about finesse and more about power, and unless you can throw them like Randy Johnson or Aroldis Chapman(i.e. better and faster than everyone else,) you are going to fall short somehow, eventually. While in this instance, Mojo did not stand out enough to make me really take notice, I do concede that perhaps the late hour and emptiness of the restaurant contributed to that, and that I probably need to see how things run on a more typical day and time before I can really understand.

Really not that bad if you’re looking for a solid enough burger and fries(though the onion rings are where it’s at here… beer battered, nuff said). I used to go when it was in the Pruneyard(though that didn’t last too long), but I’ve been to this location a few times since. Overall, not too shabby.

I didn’t know what to get for lunch and happened to run into this place. When I came in, the place only had a few people inside eating. Only two people seemed to be working and there was no line. I ordered the Wild West Bacon Cheeseburger($ 7) and a small Oreo milkshake($ 2.50 for 12 oz). As I waited for my order I took a look at the menu items and their prices. I was really turned off about how expensive everything was. After I received my order I was able to enjoy it togo. When I opened my bag, I was disappointed in the size of the burger. It was about the same size as a standard burger at McDonalds, and didn’t even come with fries. It tasted good, though. My shake was also of small stature and definitely not worth the price. It was about the size of a kids drink. Well I mean it is made with organic ingredients but can it really be called organic when Oreos are added… I’m quite disappointed with Mojo burger. For the price, I’d prefer to go to Red Robin.
