I’ve been to Off the Grids and a few Moveable Feasts, but this one was okay. Trucks left early, some didn’t show up, but that’s okay. It’s located in the VTA parking lot which is very spacious. Not many people come to this one I noticed, but I was happy with my food! Just wish more trucks and other people showed up to increase the good vibes food trucks always deliver. Kind of confusing how to get in! Wish the direction or sign was a bit bigger to help people out.

Variety and a good layout make all the difference in a food truck event. Moveable Feast Eastridge does a decent job with both. They are located in the parking lot area in front of Barnes and Noble on Saturday evenings. The mall is pretty busy at that time, especially in that particular area of the mall because of it’s proximity to the movie theaters and food court. On the evening of our visit, they already started roping off and setting up the area around 3:30 pm, which is a nightmare for anyone normally trying to find parking anyways, much less anyone who wants to attend the event. There were 7 trucks that night which had a decent variety: cupcakes, Mexican, Mediterranean, Hong Kong, seafood fusion, grilled cheese, and burgers. The trucks were spaced far enough apart that there is no mixing up which line goes to which truck. The one major problem with this event’s logistics is that there isn’t a lot of room to eat. There is a small area in the middle, but that starts getting occupied once the event is in full swing. There’s also not room for people to come and bring their chairs and tables, which is something a lot of people do. It’s hard to relax and truly enjoy a food truck event if there’s no space to sit and leisurely enjoy your food. I would not come to this event with my family or group of friends. It’s good if you just want to grab some food and go. I’d attend another event if I was in the area again, but it’s not a destination event, like their Willow Glenn event.

This is pure bliss Whoever thought about this is a genius People love finding things to complain about. I ran across a post/review how they hated that they didn’t have tables… How the food was over priced… How it took forever to find parking… Geez people think about how much business this is bringing. First off, this is a great concept for eastridge. It doesn’t make the mall tooooo ghetto. Saturday nights are great for families to be out and about. Eat something other than mall food. Relax and enjoy some music! The food of course is pricey, but it has to be. How can these trucks make any money when they are serving quality food. I have never been disappointed by any food truck! I used to go to the Monday one by blossom hill road. Willow glen Friday’s but this is so close to home it’s so much better lol Cons: it’s in the parking lots that’s already full thanks to 24 hr fitness. I understand they can’t use the Sears lots because it’s owned by Sears :/they should consider moving it. Hopefully either jcpenny or Sears will stop being mean and let us use their space! I wish there were different trucks every week. Please bring treat bot! Anyway this makes me so happy. Food makes me happy! Hopefully they will continue to have this weekly!

This moveable feast at Eastridge is okay. They took over a part of the parking lot near Barnes and Noble. A lot of the food truck is over price. Some of the food is alright. Pros: DJ Close to home Different food trucks every week. Cons: Pricey. No tables They use buckets as chairs.
