I enjoy this place quite a bit. Its definitely fast food style greek food but its still tastey. The service is pretty good and the staff seem happy which is a plus. Their fries are kinda salty and i like salty fries so keep that in mind for those who don’t. The food is always hot the though. There is limited seating for bigger groups of people, you might need to move some tables together.

I find their gyros to be a little dry. They could put a little more moisture in the meat, or at least a lot more sauce in the pita to cover it up. The feta fries are great, covered in olive oil and sprinkled with herbs and cheese. Who can say no to that? I like that I can order through the EAT24/Yelp app. They give coupons every weekend, so sign up if you haven’t already. I order from the car when I’m about 5 minutes away and by the time I walk in, my meal is in a bag and ready for me.

Loved the food and service, one of my favorite places to have Greek food. Beef/Lamb Gyro, Greek Fries and salad all are so yummy.

A++ food and excellent service. Chicken gyros and Greek style fries are awesome. The manager Demitris truly takes pride in making sure customers are welcome and well taken care of. Everything is so yummy! I would highly recommend this place if your looking for some good food.

Called on a Sunday afternoon to order a couple of to-go chicken gyros salads and wished we’d followed our instincts on this one.(«Chicken gyros — really?») Dry, tasteless and gristly chicken in a container of lettuce. Just lettuce. That’s a salad??? We’re not likely to go back…

This is the first place that I’ve tried a gyro and I’m a fan! For what you get, the prices are very reasonable. I usually order the chicken gyro pita for $ 7.95, add $ 2.50 for the combo and an extra $ 1 to get the Greek fries. So much flavor in the Greek fries but the fries themselves I think could be improved, but they’re not bad either. One of the few places you can go out to eat at and not feel like you’re eating a bunch of grease. Definitely a place worth checking out.

I first fell in love with this place when they opened in downtown San Jose! I instantly became obsessed and was at least going once a week. The downtown location was perfect because I worked downtown. When I saw they opened this location off Almaden, I became more obsessed because it was right by my house! It was meant to be for me to love this place! The first month this location opened, I ordered from here a couple of time and the service was slow and the portions were not that great. Keep in mind I’m not comparing this new location to the downtown San Jose one. Well now it has changed big time! The customer service is great! The food here comes out fast, the people that work here are so friendly and the portions are perfect! Great job Nick the Greek! P. S. Now the downtown location portions are getting a lot smaller than before. The last two times I was not happy.

This spot is A-OK. We tried their gyros, chicken kabobs, lamb kabobs, and their gyro salad. All are decent but not rave-worthy. Their meats are seasoned well, but a little dry. Prices are a little high for what you get, but not over the top. All in all, I prefer Yiassoo, but don’t mind eating here when others choose it! TLDR: Decent but not amazing Greek food.

The dining options in San Jose are very abundant but I’m glad we ended up here. The menu is large enough to have some variety but small enough to not be too overwhelming. The other 3 people in my group had pitas and I had a chicken souvlaki. The chicken was tender and well marinated, and the portions were enormous. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in San Jose!

This place wasn’t bad but I prefer The Greek Spot in Sunnyvale hands-down. The chicken gyro salad is basic — just arugula, chicken, balsamic dressing, and heavily seasoned tough pita layered on top of the salad. It did not compare to the taste, quality, authenticity, or freshness that I get at The Greek Spot. Its a more robust salad with more ingredients at the Greek Spot. Nick the Greek’s restaurant is cute and nice looking with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

I had been dining here by myself. Started bringing my family. I knew how to order… the gyro fries with mild yogurt sauce. My family ordered the gyro meat plates. They were envying my fries. It really is yummy. The owner is very pleasant and friendly. I am a huge fan of Greek food, thank you ‘Nick’, for being Greek! Haha!

I came here after my 10 mile hike and so hungry that I could chump down an elephant, so I ordered a Beefteki Pita and Nick’s Fries, all to myself. The Beefteki Pita is probably the best«burger» I had, the beef and lamb patty is very flavorful and paired with the warm pita is just heavenly. The Nick’s fries are a bit disappointing, it didn’t wow me as much as the Beefteki Pita did, I had to put ranch dressing on it to make it taste better. But the quantity of the fries could feed an army, so it is probably better to share with few other people. Service is outstanding, the guy works the counter saw me coming and give me an to go box without me even asking.

OCCASION: Just got out of Palm Sunday mass at Holy Family church. We were hungry and it was a late Saturday night!(around 9PM) ENVIRONMENT: Located close to a bar. The people next door looked very dangerous. Otherwise, inside Nick The Greek was very clean and new! The place looks new, the décor is nice, and the seating arrangement was nice. We sat near the restroom away from the front door. The place looks like a normal fast food joint but the food is on point. FOOD: We got the Greek Salad and I got the Gyro Lamb Pita. It was delicious! The salad was amazing and the pita bread was the best part. The Gyro wrap was delicious. Basically everything was delicious. We also bought a drink and got lemonade from the soda machine. CUSTOMERSERVICE: It took a while before we could order and they looked like they were busy with the cash register. Something about counting the cash. I didn’t like that we had to wait before they were ready for us. Otherwise, they seem nice. Minus one star. PRICE: A little expensive, but it was delicious! If I could find a place like this but for a cheaper price, I would go there instead of here. OVERALL: Located in a slightly ghetto plaza, AMAZINGFOOD, OK customer service, and a little expensive.

Two words: Nick’s Fries. Covered in delicious feta, garlic, spicy yogurt, and a meat of your choice(gyro is my go-to), your taste-buds will certainly be in for a treat. By itself, the fries are more than filling as a standalone meal. There’s certainly more than enough to share between two people. There’s a number of seating options inside the restaurant, the place is clean, the prices are good, and it is open until 11 — enough reasons to indicate why I end up here on a regular basis. Nick the Greek is a fantastic option when you’re looking for a late night meal without having to resort to Denny’s.

Perfect pairing of strawberry and pineapple agua fresca from La Victoria next door and a gyros plate take-out box from Nick the Greek. Great consistent, late night spot. Love the pita, fries, and salad that come with the gyro plate.

I was really excited to try this place, but it ended up being just okay for me. when I arrived, it looked like they were prepping for a door dash order, which is fine, but I was actually there. when I was finally helped, I ordered the Nick’s fries with the beef/lamb. again I had to wait for them to individually pack the door dash orders, which really sucked cuz I was starving and I could see my fries sitting on the counter just waiting in line to be packed. it would have been much appreciated if they could have just grabbed my one item, packed it, and sent me on my way, but they didn’t. my fries were pretty good, but too salty for my taste. the order is large. I’m glad I asked before I ordered. there’s tons of meat as well so it’s not predominantly fries. I would try this place again, but I’d be so much more satiated with la vics next door.

It’s so embarrassing, Unilocalers… Nick is my first Greek boyfriend! I have to say, I am quite taken by his suave handsomeness and consistent goodness. I am in love with his luscious, juicy meats and tenderizing, moist poultry… all piled into a bed of golden crispy fries and greens with drizzled white yogurt sauce everywhere. Yes I am in love with Nick’s Chicken Souvlaki and Beef/Lamb gyro pita wraps! Geez what were you imagining?! To say the least, I admit that I am no expert of Mediterranean cuisine, but if every restaurant had high standards like Nick the Greek, then sign me up for GREEK4LIFE! Every order is made fresh! You can literally see their meats twirling on a skinny metal line, carved to perfection. My favorite definitely has to be the marinated cube pieces of Chicken Souvlaki cradled in toasty pita bread. Their poultry is seasoned perfectly and they don’t skimp on the protein portions. My brother ordered their loaded Nick Fries with beef/lamb gyro and it’s a whole meal by itself. Their fries are also on point. It may look like McD’s fries, but the potato cut is fresh and wholesome and tastes divine– not too salty or bland. MEATISONFLEEK! Every. Single. Time. Sorry this isn’t the best place for vegetarians or pescatarians, yikes! But if you are meat hungry and on the prowl, stop by Nick the Greek. You might just develop a heart-felt infatuation as well! Consistent quality and quantity and fast service, Check Check Check!!!

3.5 stars Conveniently located 5 minutes walk form my apartment, Nick the Greek offers a quite tasty food. The place is quite new. Clean/fresh and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and efficient. Now the food: A bit too salty even though it tasted great. Still, it’s a kebab fast food chain so don’t expect much of it but I must say everything was quite well prepared. However, the beef/lamb patty is fine but it looks and tastes a bit artificial. The chicken slouvaky was really well marinated but under-cooked. Fries were great. Thin and crispy Salad was… just salad :) but… A special mention to the beef salad with sauce on the side which makes your dish pretty light and still tasty. Pita bread was really nice with spices on it. It’s an average to good Greek fast-food place. Great for lunches. there is outdoor seating as well. I’ll go back, try more and update my review soon.

When this place first opened up I had the Chicken Souvlaki plate. The chicken was a bit on the dry side, but the greek salad was good and pita bread super soft. Since then I’ve had: Beefteki pita: at first I was like this is a huge log, but then I was like this has a lot of flavor. Nicks Fries: Very filling and again lots of flavor. Greek Fries: nice mix of feta and garlic added for great tasting combination. French Fries: needs something more, plain is like in n out fries sort of… Greek Salad: Sometimes its better to order the Greek salad entrée than side of the greek salad. Baklava: These are pretty good very sweet, try it. Loukoumades: like sticky donuts very sweet, also try it. Beef/Lamb Gyro Pita: the meat is very soft and lots of flavor and so is the pita. I almost always get this usually with greek fries. The staff is always friendly and nothing is ever wrong with my order, Keeps me coming back for more.
