These people constantly double park their semi truck in the middle of the road making deliveries forcing cars to go into oncoming traffic to go around these very large and long trucks with no regard for public safety. The police department has already spoken with them and with the supermarket about parking in the shopping center area and they just do want they want. I have been in a near miss twice and have seen several cars almost collide. All other delivery companies abide by the shopping center parking rule laid down by the police department except for this company and I often watch them and have said something to the drivers just to get a nasty response from them. I think they believe that because it’s a short delivery that they can get it done before the police get there. If we can’t count on them to follow rules and show concern for public safety, how can we really be sure they are concerned with our health and not taking shortcuts there.

I used to go to Piedmont Hills High School in the eighties. After school I would stop by and get an ice cream. Awesome place.

My grandma has been coming here since I was a kid. Today she took a trip there. She had some questions and the lady there was Asian. She tried as best as she could to communicate with her… But after a while the lady took the eggs from her and put them back in their place and refused to help her. You’re going to refuse help to a person who can’t speak English just like you and she has been coming here for years. Terrible service.

I use to think this place was the bomb dot com because of the verity they had and because farms are nonexistent in San Jose. I liked to buy local. Being fresh and organic is a plus. I also thought double yolk eggs were neat. But lately I’ve noticed that they use a paint to seal back up cracked eggs. If you buy from there you’ll notice that some of your eggs have been well sealed with a paint that has the same texture and color as the egg. I admit I don’t know much about egg farming. I do know it doesn’t seem healthy. The more I think of it the more I agree they could put some effort into making it cleaner In store. I like being able to get organic eggs for cheap but not I question. What these conditions are really like at the farm. Doesn’t anyone know? Can people visit the farm. Organic can mean many things. Doesn’t mean safe. —one extra star for verity of eggs

We’ve heard about this place for ages and happened on it the other day. The place was empty when we walked in, a very nice woman greeted and as we glanced around she offered to give us a tour. Way cool. I had no idea there was such a variety of eggs I just thought there were brown and white ones. But there are several sizes of course and different grades. Some are very thin shelled so they don’t make it to the regular markets because they’d crack so they have different vendors that buy hen and of course they sell them here. Some have are runnier and the whites don’t cook very white but they’re all still good. Everything is clearly marked but be sure to ask questions so you don’t get surprised when you crack them open. They also had goose, quail and duck eggs, sorry no Ostrich! They sell a few other items and I think I saw something about steaks in bulk. Check it out and buy local!

We drove by and saw the sign so we stopped in. We were given a tour by the cashier. She took the time to explain all the different sizes of the eggs. We will be buying our eggs from here now on.

Price for a fresh chicken has gone up recently but we still need to get them when we make special dishes for guests. Will ask my mom if she’d like to try their baluts next time she visits and get her review. It’s a little bit of a drive from our place, otherwise, I’d like to get stuff from here more often.

Rebecca S., Pittsford, NY — I can tell from your post you have never visited the ranch. We just started going there for our eggs. I even took my daughter through the chicken house because they also sell live chickens so people can get their own eggs. There are not 7000,000 chickens. Their beaks are very pointy and there were no dead chickens. Perhaps you should get your facts straight before posting.

Love this place. Been coming here since I was a kid. My dad would take us after church on Sundays. While he would pick up breakfast supplies my brothers and I would check out there candy and Popsicle selection. Now days I mainly come for the delicious fresh eggs. Hasn’t changed much in last thirty years which in this case is a good thing.

Was so happy to find this place on Unilocal and drove 15 min to get there hoping for some über fresh eggs. Since this place has really good review and I live kinda far from it, I bought 3 trays(60 eggs) to share with everyone. But most of the eggs were not close to being fresh — a few were even rotten(black-ish yolks with strong smell). Fried a couple that didn’t stink and had stomach afterward. So had to bite my tongue and tossed out the rest. +1 star for the variety of eggs they carry and the good service

Okay so, I live less than 4 blocks from this place and I can’t buy my eggs anywhere else. They have tons of variety, it’s super cheap, and you support a local business! How awesome is that? There is a farmy smell, but come on– it’s a ranch. They also sell convenience store stuff as well as steaks and such, but I haven’t bought any of that stuff yet. Service is so-so but fast. Oh, did I mention they sell balut on certain days? Aww yeah.

My Ratings: Quantity: 4 Quality: 4 Price: 4 Location: 3 Parking: 3 Service: 3 Speed: 3 Overall: I like to get my fresh eggs here every Sunday after mass(St. Victor’s) and I like the options they have. It’s a small and out dated place but I’m not there to hang out. I come just for their eggs. They have other types of eggs like their duck eggs that I get for some of my dishes and I can always count on them to have it.

This is neighborhood egg ranch slash convenience store. It’s not much of a looker but it’s a great place for fresh eggs! When you walk into the establishment, it smells a little funky. It smells like you’re at the chicken coop collecting eggs… well, maybe not that strong, but similar to that. Yes, I used to collect eggs in a hen house when I was a kid. The cheapest eggs you’ll find are the«dirties». $ 0.99 per dozen. They are not perfectly white or not all perfectly the same size. The brown eggs are only $ 1.99 for the dozen. All in all, the eggs are cheap and fresh here. Remember to BRINGCASH!

I like my eggs… Touched Held Fondled Grabbed Beaten You get the point. Get your mind out of the gutter. Yes, it smells funky inside. What do you expect? It’s a real ranch and it’s been here when orchards ruled the area and the mule came once a week to deliver the mail. The brown eggs are super cheap and for all you balut lovers… this is place to get them in bulk at a fraction of the cost. Bring cash… it’s easier to get in and get out. Its almost Easter and this is the best place in North San Jose to get your stock ready for the egg hunt. Just don’t be like me and sneak a balut in the field. Four stars… i’m still a fan!
