I don’t think I’ll be returning any time soon. WOW! The people shopping here are creepy. Staff was friendly when I went here. The guy at the register started a random convo with me regarding when I bought. Other than that, this place is not for me. It’s pretty grungy and although the prices are somewhat low, I would rather driver a little farther, pay a little more, than chance getting mugged or something at this location.

it’s not the new NobHill or renovated Safeway, geez, it’s on Alum Rock in East Side SJ, what do you expect but I like it.
it’s a market where i get minimal things what we may need, such as milk or eggs, on the way home. it’s located near my sitter so i go in really quick, get my lettuce and milk and then pick up my daughter before heading home.
prices are great. like milk was $ 3.69 for a gallon and apple juice was 2 for $ 5. I never see these prices at Safeway.
cashiers are pretty quick.
everyone seems very helpful but you wont get the assistance to help you to your car but no one who goes there really have a full cart of things.
like it said, it’s not your renovated supermarket, but it serves its purpose in this location. i wanna call it a convenience store more than a supermarket.

Pretty dingy looking from outside, and located in a sketchy part of town. However I have stopped here from time to time just because it’s so conveniently located on a main street that I usually pass by on the way to work. It’s small but it had everything that I needed to purchase, so no complaints. It COULD use a new paint job on the exterior to help its image a little.

i like to come to this store…
— if i needed something right away like veggies. (usually they have fresh ones), meat for my pasta, or chips for my salsa, etc…
— if i only need 1 — 5 items like eggs, milk or drinks.
— marinated half-​chicken. (not cooked) juicy after baking for 30 minutes.
— value– packed meat, reasonable price.
— they also have BBQ outside the store on weekends. haven’t tried yet but it smells good.
— every Sunday for free newspaper with any purchase.
3 stars. They need to change their shopping carts. it’s rusted and dirty. the people are nice & helpful but there are still a few that doesnt seems to belong there.
