5 stars for the pork tamales. They were amazing! This place is great for take outs. There is no seating area. You order everything to go. Great staff too! :)

I like coming here when I feel like eating a carne asada torta. My first time trying a torta was from here and dang, I was hooked. I like how big it is and how much they put in it. I love that cheese that they put in too! It’s so thick. Yummy. They also have good bread and the BEST chocolate donut ever. It’s so rich and again, big!

The staff are not very helpful. The first time i ordered a cake I received my cake with the wrong decoration. The second time the cake was not ready by the time we agreed upon, it was more than 30 minutes late. I didn’t receive a discount or an apology from the staff or the owner’s son who showed up with the cake top decoration.

There are four full counter displays of breads & pastries and freezers on the side for the cakes and dessert goodies, although the desserts didn’t look that good(freshness?). There are no prices displayed for any of the breads, desserts, sandwiches, and tomales, but they were trustworthy and didn’t seem to be trying to rip off this gringo. – $ 7 Torta Cubana — Pricey, it was a mix of hot dog, tomato’ed ground beef(pork?), sliced ham, avocado, onion, tomato, jalapenos, and cheese on a bun. The bun was fried, so it was slightly greasy and messy. I thought that the tomato sauce mixed with the ground meat and mayo spread wasn’t necessary for the good sandwich. Other tortas available include jamon, lomo, asada, pollo, pierna, pavo, hawaiana, salchicha, and veggie. – $ 1.90 Pollo Tamale and Puerco Tamale — The Pork Tamale was spicy, but slightly sour — not sour rotten, but sour flavoring, which I didn’t particularly like. The Pollo Tamale was better with shredded chicken and a spicy tomato sauce. The price of the tamales were higher than other places. Other tamales available include rajas con queso, jalapenos with cheese, huchepos. Overall, the food is what you’d expect from a panaderia — namely not on par with a taqueria. However, I’d pick up some pastries and Pollo Tamales to go with my Vietnamese sandwich and coffee from next door. Yes, I like to make my own hip fusion meals.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I give it 5 stars for having great selection, but with great selection you have to question how fresh the food is. Service was okay and the food was just okay. My friends had the tamales and they told me it was just okay and nothing to jump up and down about. I had some of the bread and it was okay, but a little dry. Unfortunately, the prices are not clear on how much they cost and it is not listed on the menu or near the shelf, so you have to ask :(which such great selection. I do not know if they give discounts or not :( I am not so sure if I would go back or not, but I probably go next door to huong lan next time for breakfast since I know they have 20 workers in the back.

Super fresh pastries(I got the horn with the cream in it), at $ 1 each. Right next to Huang Lan.

My friend went to get a sandwich at the Viet shop in the same center when he saw this place he got some breads, cookies and the horns with custard. Mmmmm very good I love the horns but everything he bought was fresh and delicious.

Unless you are ok with not getting the cake you have ordered, then I would not go to this panaderia! Twice I have been dissappointed. The first time I figured it was because I had bought a cake that was in the refridgerator. The second time I ORDERED the cake with strawberry filling and recieved a cake with the name incorrectly spelled, and a thin spread of chocolate pudding near the bottom of the cake! I went back and let them know and I was told that the owner would call me but if I didn’t bring the cake back then the owner wouldn’t do anything. I have yet to recieve a call from the owner after several calls to the store! The owners don’t care about the customer or if they make a mistake. Being that we buy cakes for important ocassions, I think they would cater more to their customers but that is not the case here.
