Be prepared to be ripped off by Richard Ferry if you plan to hire him.
Please avoid him at all cost! He was brought up to my case as an expert. He took a retainer of $ 3000, spent 15 hours reading my file, then sent an email to me and my attorney that he could not help in my case. He charged me a total of $ 2600 just to tell me he could not do anything, while he could’ve easily spent just a couple of hours and decide this is not his area of work.
When I questioned about his bill, he told me I should be a grown up, that I messed up my own case and there is nothing he can do to help. These are the exact words from someone who just took $ 2600 from my pocket. Further more, he sent several emails to my attorney to bad mouth about me, even after I told him, «please leave my attorney alone, he has nothing to do with the fee dispute between you and me».
I’d like to tell everyone out there, divorce is stressful enough, please be careful to choose who you work with. Please contact me if you think this is not true.
