The food here is just ok, Actually my order wasn’t very good at all. I had three tacos, lengua, pastor, and chorizo. The lengua tasted not very fresh and the chorizo was dry. I can say however that the salsas served here are outstanding. Absolutely delicious. the meat however wasn’t good. I’m from Stockton and it is really hard to find a bad taco truck. It seems in San Jose however all the Mexican restaurants aren’t very good or they are overpriced. My friend had a vegetarian burrito that he said was really good but it was small and cost like 5 or 6 bucks.

This is a very tiny taco cart in the parking lot of the strip mall at Branham Lane and Cherry Avenue that has a Quik Mart, liquor store and Pizza Hut. There are only a few menu items, but the food is really good. I had the flour(harina in Spanish) quesadilla with al pastor filling, which is marinated pork. The quesadilla was very good and the cheese had a substantial flavor, and the pork was well-spiced as well. Very satisfying. There is a selection of salsas, including an orangey– red one that seems to be made with habaneros — HOT, to be sure, but very good. I also had a green tomatillo sauce which had less heat but was tasty as well. No drinks sold at the stand, but you can stop at the liquor store and get a 20 ounce diet soda for a dollar if you need to cool down after all that spice. This stand offers to-go, or you can eat there although there is not much places to sit here.

These tacos are the bomb! I hired Pedro for an event earlier this year and wow, I got compliments left and right about how good these tacos were. If you want quality meats and salsas, then hire him for your next event.

I passed by this place on a daily basis and finally had to experience it for myself. After training on a Friday night at Gloglo Jiu Jitsu, I needed something to eat. Perfect time to try Ricos Tacos El Guero. I am happy I did and I have made it a point to stop in every Friday since. The tacos are very good, meat is fresh and they are cooked on order. They include some grilled onions and a tostada with beans when you order tacos. I usually order 4 tacos and they fill the plate. I also grab a drink from the cooler and my order comes to about $ 9 bucks. Definitely a great deal for the portion sizes. I will be coming back to this place as long as I am in the area.
