Customer service: there is only one lady doing everything; answering phone, taking care of ALL customers, preparing tables,… So it’s difficult to rate because one cannot do all these tasks perfectly! We had reservation but nothing was ready when we got there and it was totally forgotten. Kabobs were ok, stew were great. Salad bar was bad: small trays of vegetables all half empty and everything looked so not fresh! Only sautéed vegetables looked and tasted good.

We use Groupon coupon, when we arrived we showed it to the waitress. After knowing that we are coming with the $ 80 Groupon Voucher, her attitude changed. Four of us were sitting there for 10 minutes with no water and no menu, the time was Saturday lunch around 12:30. After a long waiting, we order 2 appetizers, they are #3 and #4 both are yogurt dishes, and #42 The house special Super Sagghi $ 69.95, the waitress said no Barg(filet mignon), so we asked what’s for replacing, she said chicken, the dish has chicken already, the last we have lamb to replace filet mignon. The #42 was great, but when it arrived there is no sea bass, they cook salmon instead. My son wants to try Doogh the yogurt soda, the waitress said they don’t have it, no one make it, it is very strange, why it is on the menu if you don’t make it. Good portion of basmati rice with yellow seasoning, it tasted so good. The kabob was delicious perfectly cooked. Fire roasted tomatoes, green/red pepper was amazing, excellent food in quantity, taste and appearance! BUT the service is horrible, extremely poor and slow and no patience if you use Groupon Vouche. The waitress has never given us napkins; I have to get the napkins by myself from the buffet area.

New ownership, good food, low prices, as good or better than Rose Market. Great location near downtown Campbell which is a hard place to find quality Persian food without driving up the peninsula. Saaghi has a fun atmosphere on Fri/Sat with live music. Will definitely be back.

Unfortunately the waitress lied to us. After knowing that we are coming with the $ 40 Groupon Voucher, her attitude changed. She claimed there is no lamb(seriously, Friday night @ 7.30 pm, you don’t have lamb). It was dead inside once we arrived. Salad was super old and tasteless. Finally we ordered some beef, chicken, and kofta kebab. A plate worth $ 37. Seriously? No Lamb and still you charge me $ 37 !? The beef was undercooked(2 pieces were super red from inside). The chicken tastes OK. The Kofta was fine. Overall, not a very pleasant experience. The Meat portion was not comparable to the price. The Resto is in the middle of nowhere. I won’t recommend this place, unless you have the Groupon voucher(just for the sake of trying the place once in lifetime).

First time here… definitely won’t be our last. Tried the chicken, filet, beef and lamb kabobs and all were delicious; very flavorful and juicy. Also had the tomato, cucumber and onion salad that was super fresh. Service was attentive and will recommend to friends.

I think the location of this restaurant should not impact the quality of food here! The shopping center looks a little shady from outside but inside is very cozy and decorated with Persian paintings. Staff are very friendly and food tastes delicious. Try koobide, jooje, fesenjoon and mast khiyar. Try Groupon deal if it is still available or go for lunch buffet for only $ 12 and enjoy Persian stews! Yum!

Staff is unfriendly. Checked in with friends and place was dead at 8pm. Waitress asked if we had a Groupon and we said no. She said better tell me now or I won’t honor it. We said we didn’t. Ordered 4 dishes, all bad. Kababs were tough and rice was way too oily. Large portions, but felt like left over from a buffet. Will not recommend or go here again.

Food was okay and overpriced. Luckily, I had a groupon, so I wasn’t THAT disappointed. Beef Kabab — 8⁄10 Slightly dry but pretty tasty — wouldn’t mind ordering this again a la carte($ 3.95) Chicken Breast Kabab — 5⁄10 Marinade was good, but nothing spectacular. I feel like I might have had some dark meat chicken mixed in there somehow, which was disappointing. Lamb Kabab — 3⁄10 Taste was good but the pieces were incredibly dry. Platters were served with rice, lavash bread and roasted tomatoes. The rice was rice, what else do you need to know? Lavash bread was fine but forgettable. Tasted like it just came out of a bag from the supermarket. Roasted tomatoes were meh… I threw half of them away. They also gave me a salad to start which I didn’t ask for or pay for. It was pretty boring. Lettuce, red cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, celery and some sort of tasteless yogurt dressing… But I was hungry so I ate the whole thing and felt good about myself. There was only one person in the dining room waiting on everyone. Poor old Persian lady. I felt bad for her. This was our 3rd attempt coming here(they were closed the first two times even though it said they were open on their website — apparently they had some party going on during the weekend). Probably wouldn’t come back again although I might try the $ 10.99 buffet just once as that a probably a better value. With the further discounted groupon and tip, I still ended up shelling out over $ 30 for $ 44 worth of food at the end of the day. Can get better kababs elsewhere.

Okay, So tonight I decided to try these jokers through DoorDash. Long story short, order was processed. The DoorDash delivery guy got to the place and called me. He said they were closed. So even though all marketing websites show this business as «open» they’re closed. These guys are losers. Last straw. Do not give them your business. If you’ve been able to get fed here, consider yourself lucky. There are people there. They tell you they’re «closed» as a matter of convenience. Next step is the BBB.

We tried this place thanks to Groupon. The food was good. We had the lamb plate, beef stew with 16 spices, and the chicken skewer. It was all very good to my husband and I. The waitress was hard to read, I wasn’t sure if she was cold, or insecure, or what. But with a couple of smiles and thank yous from us for her service she warmed up and seemed nice. She was quiet but provided good service.

Wow… if I had found this place on Unilocal first… And saw so many vulgar reviews… i might have not discovered this diamond in the rough. Instead…love persian food and yet… never have found a «Persian Buffet»… So tried theirs… And am quite addicted… that I will go any rare chance I have… The dishes are wonderfully spiced… And textured. Free lavash bread… Most people are buying the bullshit that mudslingers have put up here… about the lack of quality food… I surmise… because at 1 P.M. Approximately… only 5 to 12 people inside… partaking. The food is addicting. 5 stars Here would be some constructive critiques: 1. Buffet says $ 8 approximately… on LED flasher sign outside Real price is like $ 10 or $ 11… 2. Great décor… comfy and funky but not done up pretentiously. Place looks exotically retro actually. …But … There is only one waitress… she is half engaging… but she is only one person …patience … 3. Food is hellishly delightful… but none of the dishes are ever labelled by name. Hell, I would kill to learn the names, so if I get to Iran one day. I know what to ask for… 4. The owner . He seems to have lots of persian friends… visitting. And he socializes with them. but not the american schmucks like me… who know the food rocks… His latent attitude is… accept the diamond in the rough… great deal approach. and shut up.

We had purchased a groupon which led us to check this place out. Unilocal reviews were not promising and the location was in a semi empty and dark strip mall, which made me question why did I come here in the first place! Upon entering the restaurant I was enchanted by the décor and furniture. They even had lounging platforms where you can sit and dine. Service to be frank was slow, but the only waitress was juggling 5 tables herself and seemed frazzled. I did not mind since she came by a few times to apologies. We ordered the kabob combination plates. One ground beef and chicken, the other lamb and chicken. It came with a simple salad and thin flat bread nothing to outstanding, but the actually dish itself was FANTASTIC! Rice was flavorful, the meats were cooked to perfection and juicy. Presentation was pleasant and colorful, nothing like the other Unilocal photos I had seen. Maybe I came here on a good day? The food is something to consider coming back for.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been here. This place looks really nice inside with new lighting and the addition of an indoor fountain and soft classical style music playing. I had the chicken kabob and my friend had the ground beef kabob. Booth were juicy and tender and cooked just right. These dishes come with rice, grilled tomato and cucumber yogurt. Our servers were friendly and did a good job of checking in with us, and refilled our teas and waters. Overall if you are looking for something a bit different try this place out. Oh and by the way Saaghi means«the wine-bearer and pourer»

Wife bought a $ 20 Groupon for $ 40 of food for this place labeled Willow Glen on the coupon. Didn’t know that Willow Glen incorporated this area bordering on Campbell, near Hamilton and Highway 17! Now my wife would not have bought the coupon except that it said Willow Glen, near our cousins house. This place is in the old Dick’s Supermarket from the 1950s, torn down in 1973, between Southwest freeway and Bascom. Not the ambience nor the neighborhood of Willow Glen, 3 miles away. Deceptive advertising! Turned out to be one of three business open in a dilapidated run down strip center, with the Tacos Mexico restaurant on the edge, and Saaghi not visible from the road. Very tough to find at 530pm opening time at night. Plenty of parking, as the entire block has been razed of nearby structures. Parking lines need repainting, as lines faded at night. Very auspicious appearance. Restaurant from the outside needs work –part of the sign is not illuminating –didn’t pay the electric bill? Inside, spectacular, with nice tiled floor, chandeliers, 4 large Persian sofas, a stage, seating for 45 people, with a buffet table($ 11 lunch buffet), for those wanting the maximum bang for their buck. Overhead TV tuned to CNN ringing the headlines of more upheaval in the Mideast. How fitting for a Persian restaurant! Would have expected the waitress to turn the channel once Trump started speaking! The middle aged waitress comes up to the table, doesn’t recognize us as regulars, and asks if we have a coupon. Why else would someone come to this location in the boon docks? And of course I look like the coupon type –older well fed Chinese guy with wife in tow! I order the #20 $ 21 Soltani with kabobs of filet mignon, and ground beef, while the wife tried to order the lamb, but was told they were out of lamb, and got the #21 $ 17 kabobs of chicken and ground beef instead. Will have to call ahead next time to make sure they have lamb, before coming, as the wife is disappointed! Salad and bread come first, with I giving the raw broccoli to the wife, and I taking the cucumbers. Not too fond of raw broccoli. Virtually no ranch style dressing. Bread comes on thin rectangular layers. Nice glassware, silverware, and china plates, with soft Persian music in the background –the music is more lively when the belly dancers perform! Not tonight, judging from the near empty restaurant. Takes half an hour for the main course to arrive. The wait is worth it. The dishes live up to their billing. Very tasty and juicy kabobs of chicken with green peppers, and ground beef. My dish has high quality filet mignon pieces also between green peppers on a kabob, and ground beef kabobs. Huge heaping of basmati rice, perfectly cooked, with yellow seasoning. Fire roasted tomato. Amazing: excellent food in quantity, taste and appearance! Enough for two meals. An hour after arriving, we waddle out, bellies full, and appetites contented, doggy bag for another meal. Shows that you can’t judge a restaurant by its location, bad Unilocal reviews, nor it’s outside appearance, just like you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. So my ex-wife has said about me! This strip center is set to be demolished and turned into a condominium/retail district. Will come back again, but only if the scantily clad belly dancers are on stage!

I went by Saaghi for the buffet lunch today. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant. There was a large table of old men sitting around talking. The waitress never came by to give me water so I had to get my own water and she never refilled it either. She took hot tea to other tables but never even asked me if I wanted any hot tea. I have been there for lunch buffet before and I got Koobideh Kabob with the buffet. Their website has the lunch buffet listed at $ 8.99 but I was charged $ 10.99 and received no Koobideh Kabob this time! The food was delicious! It tasted so good. What is at issue is the lack of service and questionable pricing. A successful restaurant cannot have one person working the entire restaurant during the lunch crowd and expect their clients to come back anytime soon. Bottom line, the food is good and cheap but the service is lacking! Saaghi hire more waitresses!

Hands down one of the best persian food and since is buffet you don’t have to worry about slow service or anything like that. I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years with different owners and name and I this it never as clean and the food was never as good as it is right now

This restaurant went through so many changes in the past 3 decades; changed owners several times. The present owner is the worst one of all. He’s the man who buys Persian establishments & destroys them & closes them one by one & has a bad reputation in the Persian community. The service is horrible & the food quality is either half way decent or very bad depending who the hired chef is that day. On the weekends the place turns into an Etupian night club & a bunch of weird people hang out in the parking lot. They advertise several dishes but they don’t have them. I don’t know how they run their business but this is not the way to do it. This place will end up like the other establishments this owner bought.

We went to this restaurant since we were invited by a friend. This was our second time. Both times we experienced disorganization, not enough food in the buffet, cold food at the buffet due to long line of folks who were waiting for someone to come and add more food to containers. Bottom line, this restaurant is a bad example for a Persian food restaurant. We will never go back there even if we are invited by friends next time. We simply apologize and thank for their generosity and will reject their invitation and will share our experience with them.

Terrible place!!! Will never go there again! I went there for the buffet. The food was horrible and we should have paid extra for Koobide! The food tasted bad, was very runny and there was no meat at all in the Khoreshah. Very dissapointing place :-(

First impression of the inside was that it was some what classy. First issue was that there was no one there to help me. I had to walk around the place saying«hello» until someone came out. After I informed them that I had placed an order online, 2hrs previously, they stated for me not to place the order online and to call and place my order. I responded stating, «I called 3 times and no one ever answered». They said that I shouldn’t call between 10am-2:30pm and 3: pm-5pm, because no one would answer. So how am I supposed to call a place and order my food when no one is there to take my order!!! Long story short I had to wait an additional 20min for them to cook my food, which completely lacked in flavor. Also my kabob koobideh was completely dry and I could tell that it was microwaved and not seasoned. If we hadn’t already paid before we went to pick up the order I would have cancelled and walked out!!! F.Y.I-if you are looking for good Persian food there is a place called Nageen, not even 5min away from here that is 1,000,000 times better, you might just have to spend about $ 3 more per plate. I love Persian food and Saaghi is the worst place I have eaten. AVOIDATALLCOSTS!!!

Friends hosted an event here for 90 people and I wouldn’t recommend it after our experience. First impression was the place was super hot, their AC did nothing and they apparently know this because they have a giant fan running. Everyone was uncomfortable and sweaty in the mid-80’s interior temperature — totally unacceptable, just install an appropriately sized AC unit to keep people comfortable. Second glaring issue was they only had 2 servers, so each one was responsible for 45 people! Needless to say, service was sloowww, although the ladies did their best. They also didn’t prep the food in time, we were there a couple hours before being served. The food was only ok overall. The appetizers were good but the chicken was under-seasoned and the koobideh was salty and slightly undercooked. I won’t be returning based on food alone, there’s just too many better options in the area.

I used a groupon for this visit. With it I got a Kishik batemjan appetizer, a cucumber tomato salad, and 3 kabobs– filet mignon, koobideh, and joojeh. They were all good, but especially delicious were the appetizer and filet. Honestly, I don’t know if I’d pay $ 40 for all that, but with the groupon it was a fabulous and pretty healthy deal! Totally going back to try their specials!

The lady who served us was very unpleasant and rude. She seemed upset that we came in 30 minutes before closing and with a Groupon. Most of the dish we ordered they don’t have available.1 star for the good chicken kabob, the rest of the meal was just ok. Would NOT go back to this place and would not recommend to it. I used to like this place, accepting the early closures and less — than — friendly service from the main waitress /hostess in exchange for what I considered very good food, but tonight is the last time we go there! The waitress tacked on a $ 10 ‘service’ charge without any explanation. When asked about it, she said it was a result of the coupon we used(that was redeemed on our phone). When we read the fine print on the phone and couldn’t locate the any such charge she said she could show it to me on another printed out coupon, but when asked to show it she said that it wasn’t the right coupon and she reluctantly moved to remove the additional charge, grumbling that a lot of people come and don’t leave any tip! Well maybe that’s because most people only tolerate the service because they like the food, but I will no longer be one of those people. I always leave a good tip if I like the food, I actually feel bad leaving a 10% tip, but I consider that a minimum. To have the hostess try to take $ 10 on made up pretexts is utterly unacceptable We will never return here! Check your bill before you leave, this lady will rip you off if you let her
