We are from NE and broke down. Went to this Store 3 days in a row! Each day we had a different server. Each day servers and staff were top-notch and food was fast, hot and delicious!

4 instead of 5. Only because the waitress was sweating me about making sure her boss knew that she was doing her job as a waitress. As far as the restaurant it was cozy, we waited 15 mins to seat 9. Waitress took orders and got our food out in a timely manner. The food itself was good. I was able to taste the French toast — yummy, chorizo omelette — very yummy, cheesy hash — hella good. I would go back again.

Scrambl’z has got to be one of my favorite breakfast places! The interior is absolutely welcoming and their signs are hilarious. It’s definitely a fun place to dine in! My usual order has to be under the Eggs & Things because it comes with a choice of two sides! I used to order the Country Fried Steak but from the looks of it, it’s no longer offered under the Eggs & Things. The Chicken Apple Sausages are good also, but apparently they changed sausage brands and the new ones are no where near as good as the old ones. As for the sides, the angry potatoes are a must-have! Their biscuit and gravy is a bit dry so I wouldn’t recommend that, but their french toast is pretty good. They also have a list of weekly specials with sides and dishes as well. They have to bring back the Sexy Waffles because those were AMAZING! Food is(almost) always great and staff is very friendly! It’s a pretty popular spot so expect a good crowd everyday, but especially on the weekends. Also, take advantage of their Groupon deals when they have them! It’s definitely worth it :)

Personally, I’m just not a fan of this place. The sweet food is just too much. All you can taste is pure sugar. The portion sizes are huge, the staff is so friendly, and the place is suited for all ages(adults with a childish heart). However, the food is just not up to par. I ordered the french toast and they ended up giving me the banana bread which I actually ended up liking more than the original french toast. I couldn’t handle the amount of syrup on the french toast. The chocolate pancakes were just chocolate with some pancakes hidden underneath. I absolutely love chocolate but this was just too much. There are plenty of people who love this and if you have a sweet tooth or love super sweet food I highly recommend this place. However, I probably will not be coming here again on my own.

Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We ordered Freshly squeezed Orange juice, The Greens with a side of Angry Potatoes and Chicken Benedict with a side of Banana Bread. Greens was okay… Chicken in the Benedict could have been a bit tender but was little tough… All in all it was okay…

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and Scrambl’z is now on my list of favorite places. Their menu is diverse and creative, their drinks(alcoholic and non) are great mixes a fresh squeezed juices. Enjoy the California sunshine and grab a seat on their patio. Weekends are busy here, but you can call ahead to put your name on the wait list. Score! I’ve tried 4 or 5 dishes here and the hash browns are always crispy, you can get a side of waffles(it’s a half a waffle instead of your toast or fruit), and service is always on point. This place is worth the weekend wait.

There was a long wait, but there were plenty of seats at the counter so my party of 3 got seated as soon as we arrived. The service was great and so was the food. The waitress we had was very attentive and sweet. Would definitely come back.

Once you get past the long waiting line, the service is quick and friendly. Food comes out fast, the kitchen works hard! Love that you can choose ANY of the sides with your meal if it comes with any. I like the angry potatoes and biscuit and gravy. You’re basically having a small meal as your sides. It’s a lot of deliciousness and the price is decent. It’s a ridiculous amount of food once you try to finish all your sides, I’ve never finished my plate(s) in all the times I’ve gone here. The décor is playful, kids will definitely enjoy this place. Remember to call in advance to try to reserve the bus seating areas if you have children! That’s a fun experience. Sometimes there are deals on Groupon, so look for those!

This place is so fun! From the van in the middle of the restaurant to the beanie babies, I can’t help but smile in this warm atmosphere. What makes Scramblz stand out to me is the huge selection of sides. You can get traditional potatoes with your eggs or you can be adventurous with crepes, cinnamon rolls, or banana bread. I was so enamored by all the choices that I got scrambled eggs with chicken apple sausage so I could get TWO sides. I chose the cinnamon rolls and oatmeal. I’d probably choose differently next time because both were average. My mom’s citrus crêpe was better. Eggs with chicken Apple sausage was solid. Personal highlight of the meal was the hot chocolate. It had SPRINKLES. And chocolate. And whipped cream. And marshmallows. How awesome is that?! My inner child squealed. The price is a pretty good deal because you get a ton of food! almost regretted getting this much food and paid for it with a food coma later. But it was indeed very satisfying. Warnings: This place is kind of in a bad location because there’s a bunch of cars trying to merge onto the freeway. Parking also gets tough on the weekends because this place is really popular.

Good brunch meal with friendly service. Tried to go to Mimosa’s the new brunch spot a mile away, but the wait was 2 hours at noon, so opted for Scrambl’z with only a 5 min wait(still crowded at 1pm). Our server, I think Francisco/Fernando, apologies I forget, was really nice and helpful. Recommended we get the specials or the fried chicken benedicts. Chili verde chicken omelette($ 12) was good. The sauce was great, but the omelette was bare, only had eggs. Chicken was solid, but nothing special. 3.5 stars. Fried chicken waffles benedicts were great. Delish chicken and poached egg. All the entrees come with 1 or 2 sides free, so might as well get the bigger/high priced sides. I got the ‘famous’ angry potatoes and it was meh. Too much sour cream, soggy, with bell peppers and not much flavor. Very skippable. should have got hash browns or the other potatoes(they need to explain their potatoes better). Fruit smoothies were really good and real fruit and fresh too. Note — more a family establishment, so there’s no alchy at all, but you can always drink at the Brit bar next door. Overall, solid brunch and I’d come back.

After stopping by Bill’s Café(30 minute wait) and then Mimosa Café(2 hour wait) and then trying to go back to Bill’s Café(now 45 minute wait), my family ended up at Scrambl’z(20 minute wait). I’ve been to Scrambl’z once before. The first was on a weekday morning last summer and the other time was last Sunday in the morning. I have to say that this would be a solid 4 star place if not for my mediocre experience the second time around. My parents and I love brunch. We waited about 20 minutes before being seated. The service here was great — the waiters were incredibly attentive and great about taking our order and bringing out the menus and food efficiently. I wanted a more traditional benedict and went for the ham benedict. My dad got one of the omelettes and my mom opted for one of the scrambles. I was very disappointed in the taste of all three dishes that came out. We ordered the angry potatoes as a side and those were probably the best part of that breakfast. The benedict looked hastily made and it was falling apart by the time it got to my table. The scramble also looked(and tasted) like it was quickly thrown together. The omelette was the best, being just satisfactory but overall, I had a disappointed experience here compared to the first time around. I would say that this place is great and very kid-friendly but that the quality of the food shoots down when it gets busy and they tend to rush the dishes a lot more. Will definitely be back sometime to give it another try though!

3÷19÷16: I must update my old review, unfortunately. I’ve had brunch here several times, but even though I think this place has been my gf’s favorite breakfast place in the area, I’m starting to feel that it’s very hit and miss here. The things you can always count on: 1) It’s packed. Always. 2) Parking sucks hell – make sure you give yourself a good 10min to find parking. What varies?: 1) Service. 2) Food. So, I think I noted in my last review that their service was awesome and everyone was very nice. Well, not so much this time. The waiter didn’t come by much, and it took quite a while to get the food too. Not a crazy long time, but it was significant. But the worst of it, the food was horrible today… 1. Coffee $ 2.99 2. Angry Burger(Special) $ 9.99: I think this was one of the worst burgers I’ve had in over a year, at any place, for any price. The toppings were good – lots of cheese, which I loved. But the meat! – WOW… it was a BRICK. The waiter even asked me how I wanted it done, to which I replied, «Medium please.» Well, this was nowhere even close to medium, or even well done. It was BEEFJERKY. I couldn’t even finish it! Horrific. 1⁄10 2b. Monkey Bread: They let you pick a side out of a list of what must be ~30 items, which is great. And I’ve heard about their monkey bread, so I was so happy to try. Unfortunately, what they gave me was obviously stale and leftover, possible from days before, then reheated in the microwave it seems. The outside was stale are hard, but I guess the innards were edible. The cream cheese sauce on top was good though. Very disappointing. 2⁄10 3. Italian Scramble(Special) $ 12.99: No, it’s not possible to put in any less effort. It’s called«Italian» yet there were ZERO herbs in it. How could you possibly call anything Italian without at least some basil or oregano? I think all they added was salt really. And feta cheese??? – in Italian food??? The only thing resembling Italian would be the sausage bits inside, which I wouldn’t say really qualifies as Italian either cause it was just the ground pork, and not slices of sausage. Nearly 13 bucks for some eggs, feta cheese, and bits of sausage meat. WTF. 2⁄10 Alright, so I’m gonna give them the benefit of the doubt that what we’ve had before is still as good as we remembered. But today was a supreme let-down. If next time it’s the same, I don’t think we would come back. 3⁄5(for now) #breakfast #brunch #americanbreakfast #americanbrunch

It’s a good alternative to Bills Café if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t say that it completely overtakes the local favorite in my honest opinion. I think what’s really lacking here is a true kick to their tastes. Granted, I got their omelettes when I should have gotten their scrambles, but it was still great! I don’t see myself returning any time soon, but that’s not a knock against Scrambl’z, it’s more of the fact that it can be a bit forgettable since there are better options out there. I would recommend this place, but I would recommend others over Scrambl’z.

Good brunch place that is open till 2pm every day. Very good freshly squeezed orange juice. I ended up having two glasses of it. Definitely worth having. We had the El Paso scramble and it was very flavorful. The chorizo sausage gave it a very unique taste and I would recommend it to anyone. The Angry Potatoes were good, but I think I needed for them to be a little angrier than they were. I ended up making a sandwich with wheat toast, some of the scramble and the angry potatoes, which turned out to be good too. For the sweet part of the meal we had the Bread Pudding French Toast. It was just amazing and not extremely sweet, so it can be enjoyed by many people. This is a good brunch place and I would definitely plan on going there again.

This was great breakfast place my friend took to me while visiting. Loved it! My friend ordered the chicken waffles and fell in love. I ordered«The Greens» scramble, asparagus, kale, spinach broccoli, zucchini, swiss cheese… I felt so «healthy» after stuffing my face of that, so I ordered the Angry Potatoes and I was stuffed! Everything I tasted here was fresh and clean, I noticed after paying our bill that there was a groovy car we could’ve sat in and enjoyed our food but some kids beat us to it. The wacky signage and posters were awesome too. Love this place.

Can’t go wrong with the angry potatoes. Seriously. There’s a reason the parking lot is always packed here, and it’s those damn angry potatoes. They haunt my dreams. Crispy fried potatoes with jalapeño strips, cheese, and topped with sour cream! Along with a corned beef hash that was real corned beef(as opposed to the mushy can-style corsages need hah) and topped with and egg, you can’t go wrong! You can wait the twenty or thirty minutes to sit if you want, but counter seating is open to all. So if you’re flying solo, or with one other, you can cruise right up to the counter and have your food before people have even been seated. Think about it. It’s worth it.

This is definitely a good breakfast place to go to with your family… it’s got more of that«family vibe» to it I personally think… Anyway, my friends and I finally got to try this place out… we went on a good day given that it was Labor Day weekend, and everyone was pretty much driving out of town for the week… I consider this area to be the«no-drive» section of South San Jo haha… well, on the weekends that is… try driving to this restaurant or just to any store adjacent to it, you’ll know it’s a MAJORBITCH to get through. Why? Because everyone wants to eat here, and it’s almost impossible to find parking… needless to say, it’s neighbor… the carwash place, brings in a lot of customers over the weekend too… so i HIGHLYSUGGEST you get to Scrambl’z at the earliest time possible… a little before/or at 0700 when it opens… Anyway, I like the look of this restaurant, the ambience is so fitting, the staff is very friendly. Oh, and did I mention, there’s a VW Bus inside the restaurant? You can sit and dine in it lol… makes for a great photo op too lol… you have to make reservations for this though… earliest they take reservations is 0800… and these reservations get taken… fast! There was a lot of good items to choose from the menu haha… what I like about this place, is it’s sides… it’s not your typical side of bacon and hash browns and such, but more like… sides of monkey bread, oatmeal banana brulee, «angry birds» hash, and much more… in fact, some of the sides come with little toppers on them which makes it more fun to eat… for example, the«angry birds» hash has a topper with an «angry birds» character on it… Anyway, our orders were: Mine: 1) That brunch pomegranate juice thingy… oh it was soo good! It’s very refreshing… it’s almost like… spritzy fruit punch, but with the awesome taste of pomegranate lol; 2) my main entrée was the Sonoma omelette which had shrooms, cheese(I forget what kind), and turkey sausage… so simple but delish! I also had a side of oatmeal topped with banana brulee… again…simple yet delish… My friends had the corned beef hash, an entrée called the«sunrise» something something lol, and chocolate chip pancakes, and a side of biscuits and gravy. The meat from the«sunrise» entrée was nice and tender, but the tortillas that came with it were straight up nasty… definitely not home made and tasted kind of stale, hence my four stars… The chocolate chip pancakes will throw you off though… not in a bad way haha… it’s just that the chocolate itself isn’t just incorporated into the pancake, chocolate sauce literally drenches the stack of pancakes from top to bottom lol… so if you ask me, this would definitely be a «death by chocolate» kind of entrée. Overall first time experience was great, I would come back here again to try out their food, especially their sides

They have excellent customer service. Straight up diner feel i love it! The wall work and the whole layout of the place. They have these cute newspapers for their menu just like black bear diner. I do however think that our food could’ve been better. I got spicy Italian sausage and with potatoes and and eggs. I loveeee Italian sausages i just wish it woulda been 2 sausages it goes well with the portion of the potatoes. But overall experience with my family on a hump day it was pretty awesome! Oh and don’t miss their hot chocolate! Its super cute! Ill def come back for more

My family & I were going to visit the Winchester House & wanted to get breakfast before the tour. I Unilocaled & this restaurant ranked highly in San Jose! Even on a Monday morning, this place is busy. Most entrees are served with 1 – 2 sides. Our server was very sweet & attentive. I ordered: Ham Benedict(substitute ham for regular bacon) — Mmm! The hollandaise sauce was so creamy & the bacon was extra crispy. Unfortunately, I was not too happy with the English muffin. I did not ask but it sure tasted like a wheat English muffin & I am not a fan of wheat! If it was not wheat, then it was definitely something not tasty & it took away from the tastiness of the meal. Side = Banana Oatmeal Brûlée — Brown sugar glazed on the top. This was just decent because it was too dry, even with milk. It was served room temperature & if I added more milk, the oatmeal became even colder. Angry Potatoes = Cheese, sour cream, & jalapeños — Good. Pomegranate Orange Juice — Freshly squeezed & may have been the best fresh juice I have ever had! Sadly not refillable but several sizes are available.

What a cute and quirky breakfast place! I’ve always heard about it but never tried it. But when I did! It was totally worth it. Prices are reasonable and my food came out in under 10 mins. I ordered the chicken Apple sausage scramble with goat cheese, which was perfect! My bf ordered a country fried steak, which was okay, since I don’t care much for that. But other than that I really enjoyed my experience here. It was cozy and service was quick! I’ll probably be back here sometime soon. ALSO! They have the cutest little cup of hot chocolate! :)
