We have tried many different buns at different oriental places including San Francisco China Town. So far this place stands out. Their like-a-home-made buns(variety of flavors) taste quite good yet the price is cheaper than super market. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, it is better to order first and then pickup. There is no cashier or anything in the bakery. That is probably why they can keep the price low which is good for us customers.

This place sells amazing red bean buns at a reasonable price. It was well worth the 4 mile walk I embarked on to go buy them. The shop only takes cash and you have to knock in order to go in(because they always keep their door closed). It seems a bit strange but I can understand seeing as the shop is run by an elderly couple who probably don’t know enough kungfu to protect themselves against the hungry folks out to get their buns. It’s most convenient to call them to order and then head over to pick them up. The buns are absolutely heavenly and at 15 for $ 11, i’m definitely heading over again soon.
