Ordered a chicken wrap. Was dry with little to no sauce or flavor. Waste of money $ 7.97 for something not satisfying

The review is for a to-go order. I requested for ‘Chicken Karahi’ and rice. The chicken gravy was like tomato paste with some green pepper. There was no taste. Felt like some chicken put into their universal gravy. Also, I feel that the portion is on a smaller side. Not going back

Came here looking for something new to try. My SO and I ordered the chicken pesto naan, chicken vidaloo(sp) and a side of rice. The girls at the counter were really sweet and helpful. I wanted the chicken to be spicy and they assured me the vidaloo was the spiciest chicken available. Food came out quick and hot. The menu states the naan is «stuffed» with your choice. There were crumbs of chicken inside and basil burnt onto the outside, ick. The chicken dish was bland, super bland, like no taste at all. The rice was ok but it’s rice. Maybe there are other dishes here that are better but I don’t want to try to figure out what that might be. Two stars for the friendly service.

Disgusting chicken biriyani. What a shame! It was bland yellow rice with 4 pieces of chicken. Paid 20 bucks with Doordash delivery and had to order room service anyway! :(

This business has changed significantly. The ownership has changed and so has their food. There use to be 6 T. O in the south bay area. The owner sold them all and now only 1 remains open in downtown sj. It’s owned by a kind man. The food is still very good but tastes completely different. If you want an actual meal I would recommend chicken tikka masala a la carte with a chicken pesto naan or maybe the tandoori grill. Chai is very good here too! I don’t know what their food is suppose to taste like but hands down a good business. Satisfied customer.

Ordered an assortment of food after the COPA America game, and the food hit the spot. I have experienced better Indian food, but I really enjoyed the chicken wrap. I just wish the side option was better then the two options of potato salad or cucumbers. I do appreciate that there is Halal options. The location of this restaurant is really nice close to several hotels and small shops.

Less than average food. I won’t be coming back. The chicken tikka masala was interesting– the chicken pieces were small– as if it were from the bottom of the pot. The chicken tikka had very little flavor. I used door dash for this, so by the time I got the food it was extremely cold. Not rating based on that as it may be DD’s fault.

We ordered Tandoori chicken leg quarters, garlic naan and vegetarian kofta curry to go — via Doordash. The naan was OK — a bit chewy, but not bad. The kofta curry tasted like raw onion gravy and the tandoori chicken was not even cooked all the way through. I think we’ll take our money elsewhere.

I will never order food from here again. I tried to do a good deed by grabbing food for myself & a friend after she just had a baby(who is, by the way, breastfeeding and has to watch what she eats). We waited about an hour for delivery, only for her to receive old food. We were served sour potato salad and a hard chicken wrap. The pungent smell of the potato salad was so bad that we noticed as soon as we opened the container. Talk about scary! I think I’ll call the health department. That’s just not right… Do not eat here. Still waiting on a call back from management after being brushed off on the phone.

I like the Chicken Masala, Garlic Naan and Samosas. The food is fresh and hot! It gets busy during lunch time, so I order ahead.

Flavor is simply okay, quantities pretty much are kiddie sized. I picked up the paneer masala and the butter chicken, both terribly small in portion

I would like to give zero stars but there s no option. Had the worst experience of my life in this place! Avoid the disgusting experience of eating in this Place!! ordered Cholay bhature, worst… Cholay was uncooked, jus got sick after having that. Wat u called it «Food poisoning»…I feel like goin back to restruant and throw up on chef head…, first you have to pay for food and then offcourse for medicine, I would not recommend this place to anyone…

Given the prices of everything I’m not sure how the bill added up so fast, I think they ended up bringing everyone rice and charging us extra for it without asking. Nevertheless, the damage still wasn’t that bad. The food though? The naan lacked that pillowly fluffy quality that distinguishes good naan. The dishes were lacking flavor. It’s just pretty boring pretty bland Indian food.

Way too much oil on the Bhatura. If you care about not getting a heart attack then don’t order the choley bhatura. Chai was half decent.

I do not recommend this place. My man and I enjoyed eating at this restaurant for years. We always felt the food was better at the SJ location than the other location in Campbell… which has since closed down. The food was not only good, but a good value for the price. I am pretty sure the place is under new ownership. We ate there last night, and I’m sorry to say we will not be back anytime soon. The sauces were bland. The chicken in the Chicken Salad(used to be called«Tandoori Chicken Salad») was greasy, as if previously cooked and rewarmed in oil, with only a faint taste of tandoori. I doubt it was real tandoori chicken. The dressing for the salad was made out of mayonnaise rather than yogurt… yuck! The portions were also smaller(less offered with the dinners, for instance). The little sauce station has also disappeared. Raising their prices a bit would have been fine to maintain quality. But the prices are now way out of line with the portions and quality, which has fallen considerably. We’re disappointed to see one of our favorite downtown locations go down hill. Tandoori Oven was never an upscale Indian restaurant, and we understood that. But it was close to Camera 12, a fun place with good food, if not the best. If they don’t bring their quality back up, I doubt they will be around much longer. They have a good location. But people in San Jose have a diverse palate. We know good Indian food when we taste it. Give me a break, guys, you can do better than this.

Food comes out fast. Prices are reasonable. The lamb korma was good but was lacking raisins and nuts. Kinda basic. Still spicy tho. The garlic naan was a notch above many places. Would go back again if I needed a quick Indian fix.

A solid 3.5 stars. I really like their naan here, especially the one with ground lamb in it! I always get the Groupon for here when I see it posted, because it is such a good deal! The chai is delicious here, and you get free refills! Besides the naan, the food is pretty good, but not the best Indian I’ve had in the Bay Area. The service here is really good. The first time I came here with my mom, the lady was super helpful with suggestions, and brought us extra sauces and told us which to pair with what!

Worst food ever expected. We ordered tandoori platter, fish was pathetic, chicken was raw, kebab was ok Butter chicken was small pieces of raw chicken dipped in freshly opened can of tomato purée, colored to perfection tastes like tomato soup Kadhai paneer had raw onions, ginger garlic paste was raw, no masala and it was worst kadhai paneer I ever tasted P.S only thing good about this place is chole bhatoore !!

We stumbled across this place after moseying around downtown. It was around 7pm and there were only two people ahead of us in line. What I swallowed: BUTTERCHICKEN with BASMATIRICE: This dish was very tasty but. considering we waited almost half an hour for our food, it was lukewarm to say the least. The Canadians dish was piping hot but mine. meh. GARLICNAAN: This was very good to dip in my… lukewarm butter chicken sauce. There was no ice in the ice machine. So basically my food and my water were room temperature. Not a pleasant dining experience at all.
