Our family eats here maybe six times a month. The fish is fresh, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is comfortable. There is an extensive roll menu for roll lovers. There is also a salmon skin soup that is not on the menu that we love. The Chicken Katsu is as good as it gets. It is both crispy and juicy. We always sit in a big booth and the guys watch the game on one of the multiple screens. Everyone is very friendly. We usually go on weekdays when there is always parking and seating.

This is by far, our family’s favorite sushi restaurant. Always good food, friendly staff, busy but there is always a seat.

Love the owner, love the sushi, and love the atmosphere! I always go for anything with spicy tuna, because that’s my favorite. :) The menu is very easy to peruse(especially because of the pictures) and there is plenty of seating!

Impressed by the presentation of the food. We ate at the bar and it was a nice change in seating. Lucky we made it during lunch so i ordered the tempura udon and fresh gyoza. For all the gyoza lovers out there you will lnow what i am talking about. I also appreciated the photos of the different sushi it is helpful to know what i am eating

I haven’t been to this location before; I’ve only been to the other location and it was so many years ago! I decided to come here for lunch because apparently Dan has a special schedule during the winter. The restaurant is pretty big and has plenty of large tables. Even though we were just a part of 2, the waitress seated us at a 6-person table… a bit strange, but whatever. When we went in at around noon, there were only 2 other groups dining. They automatically gave us a bowl of miso soup, edamame, and ginger. Off to a great start– I love it when restaurants give complimentary goodies like these! And we can have as much ginger as we want, YAY. So, let’s talk about the food. TGI’s is all about the rolls. I’m normally a chirashi/sashimi lunch kind of gal, but dining at this place makes it an exception. I got the Miss Netscreen roll, which is a cucumber wrapped roll with tuna, salmon, halibut, and shrimp. It amazes me how they’re able to make it look so beautiful with the cucumber. My mom got Tommy’s roll, which has the toppings of a Rainbow roll pretty much, and inside is shrimp tempura and cucumber. Both come with a smear of sweet teriyaki-like sauce on the plates. Both were great and I definitely recommend trying them out. Service was overall alright, but I would’ve liked it if they brought both of our rolls out at the same time. By the time I got mine, my mom was basically finished with hers. She actually stopped eating for a few minutes so I wouldn’t have to eat alone!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the South Bay Area. Extremely friendly staff, great portions, delicious fresh fish, and inexpensive. I always order the chef’s selection of sashimi, which usually comes with: fresh hirame edge, hamachi, salmon, albacore, uni, abalone, shiro Maguro, tai snapper, and more exotic things I’m not sure what they are(but taste amazing) This is the only place I’ve found that has live fish and served to you. Definitely a 5 star experience!

Their Hanna Roll is delicious. It was my first time trying eel and I enjoyed it. I liked how they included pictures of the rolls in their menu so I can see what they look like. The fish tank at the bar was cool to look at

Not sure what happened here, but this place definitely went downhill! So disappointing. I’m not sure if they are having a problem with sushi chefs, but the food is clearly not that great. I’ve stopped going to this location.

I ordered Bento box with salmon teriyaki and sashimi, disappointed by the fact that my salmon was over grilled that made it so dry, if you’re going to grill a salmon fillet make sure you have the accurate time and temperature. The sashimi was good, it was soft and tasted fresh, but the sauce for tempura could use more seasoning. Overall experienced was a bit undesirable due to the poor food presentation and cooking techniques.

Love the sushi Here it is all so fresh. I also love the staff very friendly. I’m Waiting for them to get their liquor license so we can start using it as a place to watch Monday night football.

This is sort of a hidden gem within the area. The surrounding plaza isn’t really aesthetically pleasing but once you enter the restaurant it’s comparable to a loud rush of K-Pop music and nice interior decorating. The food is good and have very large portions. Good amount of rice in the sushi and the bento boxes have a lot of things in them such as tempura and salad. Overall a tasty and relatively good place to eat for the price. They also include miso soup and edamame as a complement whenever you order something. Service is usually hit or miss. During the busy times it can get quite hectic as there are not any assigned tables for the waiters so it’s like a free-for-all. However during the more calm hours the service is very attentive and spot on. I don’t see this as a 5 star worthy establishment, but with some more nuances to service and a little extra care to the food, I can see this place becoming a huge establishment. As it stands I’d say a solid 4⁄5 stars.

nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and lots of them… cool salt water tank, huge speciality roll selection, very very fresh and yummy for most part… I had Mikes roll and Crazy Chris roll both full of a variety of fish and yummy… wine not bad but could be better, all fish was good but salmon seemed very farmed other than that no complaints

The strip that TGI’s Sushi is located is in is very plain looking, so when you walk into the restaurant you might expect a grungy little sushi joint. What’s pleasantly surprising is that TGI’s Sushi is actually very nice, big, and trendy. The restaurant is big with dim lighting, tables and booths all around, and a big sushi bar in the middle. It’s literally a complete transformation from the outside, and it’s really pretty. The service is great. Both times I went, the hosts and servers were very polite and prompt. The special rolls are great. The menu of rolls seems endless, which is a little overwhelming, but I haven’t tried anything I don’t like yet. If you’re into spicy, I would suggest looking at their last page on the menu. It’s full of rolls that come with spicy ingredients, and they’ve been delicious. They also give you free miso soup and edamame every time you come in, which is super generous. I feel like TGI’s has a pretty unfortunate location considering how trendy and good it is on the inside. I would definitely recommend it to anyone around the area.

Hmm I’m conflicted about how to rate this location which is unfortunate because I certainly enjoyed the food. For starters, it’s definitely larger and can accommodate many more people than the Campbell location, which is nice because the wait at that location can be kind of ridiculous. Oh and not to mention the fact that one always feels claustrophobic at the Campbell store. I actually didn’t have any problems with the quality of the fish at the Saratoga location, thankfully. I ordered the chirashi and it was great — a serious bang for your buck. Five different types of fish(salmon, tuna, hamachi, snapper, and something else) and generous servings of each as well! I actually had to take a good amount to go because I just couldn’t finish it! Will definitely be ordering this again! My mom and I also shared the chawan mushi and even though it was good it didn’t arrive until near the end of our meal so we didn’t have much of an appetite for it at that point, given that it was supposed to be our appetizer… The service was pretty hit or miss though as other Unilocalers have pointed out. The servers don’t seem to have designated tables so you kind of have to just flag down whoever you see passing by to fulfill your request. Our server pretty much disappeared after he brought out our food and never came to check up on us or to refill waters. I was able to snag his attention to bring us some boxes and the check but he came back with only the boxes and never returned with the check so we had to ask another server to bring it to us. Apparently many of the tables near us had trouble getting our server to bring out the check, as many opted to just pay at the counter. Sure, it’s more expedient, but this is not a self service restaurant and customers should not be expected to do that. Overall, I would have to give this place 3 stars even though it’s really a 3.5 because the spotty service just does not warrant 4 stars.

Had the omakase B for dinner for two. Was plenty of food. The nigiri pieces were nice and big and the sashimi were big and chunky too. Fish tasted good. The crab meat from the California roll caught my eye and I was impressed. It wasn’t drenched in mayo like other places. It had good texture and flavor. Enjoyed the complimentary green tea ice cream at the end. Staff are super nice and friendly. Will come again.

Oh boy… where do I start? Their first restaurant near Campbell is by far the place to go to. This was added on recently, and they have no hired enough servers, staff, cooks, to understand how to run a restaurant. Food — was pretty good, but they missed 3 items that we ordered, even after following upon them MULTIPLE times. They don’t provide the freebies, mini appetizers of bean sprouts and seaweed like their original location. Service — poor, poor, poor. You don’t have a designated server, so good luck getting your tea refilled if you needed it. Ask twice to different people? Then they are liking to say«okay» and then just never come back because it wasn’t their table. Good luck even getting an order in if you don’t speak up and stop someone carrying a tray of food to another time. It’s pure mahem with staff running around. Our server simply gave up and never came back. She was the worst of them all. There was one person who was behind the register who was the most helpful, but didn’t make up for the rest of the experience. We sat there for a dinner for 2.5 hours. We wanted a simple in and out w/in an hour… 1 ½ hours would have been okay too! With 2 kids though? NOWAY… way past their bedtime folks. We probably should have just left rather than trying to hunt someone down to get our bill, just like we had to make our order, get our food, claim our missing food, re-claim our missing food, ask for tea, ask for place settings, re-claim food again because they brought us the wrong food. I’ve never dined and ditched and not about to start now… I’m just wondering if anyone even saw that half of our table was fed a whole hour before the other half of the table. Really, it’s not worth the time coming here until their servers get trained and add more cooks/sushi chefs. For the size of this restaurant, there should have been extra thought before opening. It’s a bummer because their sister location is fantastic.

I have worked at and eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants, and I have to say that this place has: 1. The BEST service! Shout out to our server Johnny Lee! 2. Great management, super nice people! 3. REALLY good rolls! Can’t remember what I got exactly, but they do NOT skimp on the fresh fish! A lot of places will only slice you tiny itty bitty portion of sashimi if you get any fresh rolls, but this place does not. They don’t try to overstuff it with rice too, so you really get your money’s worth! Will definitely be coming here again! :)
