We ate here a few times now. The sushi rolls are hit and miss depending on who makes it. Someday it was presenting very nice and the rolls were nice and big. Other days the same rolls ordered and they looked so sad and skinny with so little ingredients inside. Well we havent been sick yet so i guess the fish is ok.

HAHAHA what the fuck is wrong with this place? Eating here was like dining in a building that’s on fire and collapsing/burning down around me while the employees are busy clawing over the patrons to get out without letting them know. It was almost hilarious to watch how inept everything was, other than the fact that I was eating here. Came here on Mother’s Day dinner and the restaurant was less than 2⁄3rd capacity. We ordered their halibut special combo and the food was decent. Fish quality was okay but the cuts were haphazard like a child had cut them. Items from the kitchen were quick but ones from the sushi bar were extremely slow. Food aside, the service was the issue. There were four servers on shift. I’ve seen 16yo kids do the work of these four more efficiently. I had trouble getting water, utensils, and my order taken. I had to ask for everything twice or more. The servers are constantly running everywhere but no one around me is getting anything. The table in front of us took 30 – 40 mins to get their sushi rolls. Another table in a corner did not get served at all during this span. I watched another table to my left get their orders wrong. The sole patrons at the bar took 15 mins to get their check taken care of. I saw a man stand at the cashiers counter trying to pay for over 20 minutes. Alcohol will come out really quick though. Good luck even finding a server otherwise. The kicker was that we didn’t even get all our food. Two items were not delivered. The first time we asked about it we were told they had run out and they would replace it. After waiting we asked again then the server questioned what we had received and then informed us that medium size does not get those items. When we contested this the server hands us a menu… which clearly lists the items we didn’t receive. Let’s not even get into the nondescript $ 129 bill for«Halibut» and the handwritten pricetag on the menu.

Love love love their sushi! This is definitely my go-to sushi place. The sushi is always super fresh and that is why I keep coming back to this particular location. I’ve been to the TGI Sushi on Hamilton and their sushi is nowhere’s near as fresh. When I eat here(sometimes I take my order to-go), I love eating at the sushi bar with the fish. They have an entire fish tank that goes around the bar! Their service is always on point, they have some of the sweetest people working here. I will most definitely be back seeing how I’ve been coming here since they opened!

Love this place. It has huge portions and is open late. Its my go-to. I often call in my order and take it home so that I’m not shamed by how much I ordered just… for me. Tommy roll is my favorite!

Good atmosphere and complimentary miso soup and edamame! LARGE delicious rolls, and far less cramped than their Hamilton location. Beautiful fish tank to sit in front of at the bar and reasonable prices. Love this place!

I’m a big fan of TGI Sushi on Hamilton, so when my boyfriend and I saw that there we a Groupon for their new location we snagged one with quickness. We got the groupon for $ 60 of food for 6 people. Unfortunately, the night we decided to go we were only able to round up 5 people. When we arrived, we asked the host if we could use it for 5 people. He said yes, but will only be allowed $ 50 for 5 people. Which was still okay with us since we bought the Groupon for $ 30 anyways. After getting seated, the host arrives and apologized that they could no longer honor what he said earlier about the $ 50 for 5 people with our Groupon. WTH, you told us it was fine and even offered a compromise. Obviously, this has happened before so you were able to give a quick answer. We were so pissed off that they couldn’t honor what they said and got up and left. Mind you, if the host had said they could not honor the Groupon from the beginning, we would still have sat down and ordered food. It just really pissed us off that they couldn’t honor their word. TGI sushi, i didnt get to try your food but your staff really disappointed me. I will only be going to the Hamilton location from now on. The Groupon is dead to me. Erick, if you read this. We were really disappointed and maybe thought this was under new management. But sadly it wasn’t…the host was was very rude. We love the lady at Hamilton who has been working there for years. We will continue going to Hamilton but the Groupon was not a success.

Wow, what a disappointment. Poor service and stale fish really make for a bad night. Our chef was fine but he got several of our rolls/sashimi/nigiri wrong and we felt bad saying anything but after the 4 th time enough was enough. We told the chef and server our situation and they comp’d us a beer. Overall, would not go back and the Hamilton spot is much better. I give this place a solid 5 no more. Lastly, we told the server the dishes were not clean but she just looked at them and gave them back to us unwashed, oh joy!!!

Mom and I have eaten lunch here twice. While we have not ordered the sushi, the lunch bento box is a great deal and the food is freshly prepared and delicious. You get shrimp tempura plus two other items(like salmon teriyaki or tonkatsu) plus gyoza, soup and salad. Wait staff is courteous and attentive. Appeared clean and spacious with good parking in the lot and surrounding neighborhood. I will go again.

We wanted to tryout this place with our Groupon voucher. The place was busy and the waiter told us that they have nullified the deal with Groupon. This came as a surprise as we thought Groupon would have notified us if that were the case. When asked when did this happen, he said…“yesterday”. We checked with Groupon and that is not true. They never responded to Groupon requests to explain their action and did not bother to call me despite numerous requests by Groupon. My conclusion is that Groupon users are bumped as second class customers when the place is busy. I cancelled my voucher with TGIs Sushi, as this place is dishonest, lying to customer outright, has no business ethics or integrity, and rude too. There is no concept of customer focus here. I strongly advice not to give business to such a dishonest establishment, especially Groupon users.

We’ve been going to the TGI Sushi on Hamilton for quite some years. When they opend a second location on Saratoga Ave near 280, I had to try it out. Monday night on a whim, husband and a friend went to TGI to try it out. The place is definitely bigger than the one on Hamilton Ave so waiting is not a problem. We were seated right away as they are not busy. Just like the first location, they have a sushi bar in the middle of the room and seating all around. But the place is definitely better in atomsphere than the first one. They also have TV blaring Asian(Korean) music videos but was changed to a Giant’s game later. The sushi is the same taste and quality as the other so that is a great sign. We ordered the Junior Roll, the Caterpillar Roll, James Roll, Hailstrom Roll, Jeremy’s Miso Roll, and the Gordon Roll. Ok… that was a lot for 3 people, but we were hungry. The wait staff were attentive and refreshing our tea w/o asking. The manager/owner came by a few times to make sure we are taken care of. Very nice experience. Just 1 little complaint. Like the previous review, there was a problem with smoking. We didn’t think much of the review until we experienced it ourselves. The manager/owner was actually smoking with a guest by a side door behind the restaurant. They probably thought they were getting away with the whole smoking thing by hiding in the back. But what they failed to realize is when you have the front door and side doors open, the front door acts as a vacuum and sucks the smoke through the restaurant. The previous Unilocaler didn’t mention it to the staff, but we did. Explaining that it is poor business to not do something about it. CA State law requires smoking to be a minimum of 30′-0″ away from a public building. Just because you are hiding from the front of the building, doesn’t keep the smoke from your guests. I hope they take note of our comments and change their behavior. I’m not ready to remove a star yet. I’ll be back to see if things change.

Well… since opening their new location away from Campbell, we’ve been here numerous times. Chef ‘Honey’ knows us and quite frankly, we will not eat anyone else’s sushi. This place is by far the BEST. The rolls are BIG, FRESH, and very tasty. Seating is quick, the atmosphere is nice and the location is fantastic! I wish they had a ‘sushi boat’, but the bar is just as good. Sometimes Fri-Sat gets very busy at prime time, so watch out… but overall, the service is wonderful, food is great and ambience is very good. Our business associates always like this place and our kids love it, what more can we ask for… plus, we don’t have far to drive home. perfect!
